    Good voice, needs work
    This is a very good pod, and I will listen to all of em, but the grammar is sometimes not great. Misused words and mispronounced words are numerous. But its still a good pod, just needs to tighten up those elements.

    Would be five stars if…
    The host would not mispronounce 75% of the town names. It’s almost comical. And make the episodes about 10 minutes longer.

    Pretty Good
    I like this podcast but it is very distracting when names/places are pronounced incorrectly. It happens fairly frequently. Also, sometimes the research seems lacking. Details on very well known cases are incorrect, which makes me think maybe the episodes are a little rushed. But the narrators voice is great and I like the storytelling style!

    Excellent Podcast
    Andrew’s voice and storytelling draws you in and keeps you interested. At first I thought it was a little boring but I hung in and now I truly enjoy the pace and the format. Easy to follow and keeps you listening. Really well-done. Sound effects don’t bother me. I think you need them.

    This would be a five star podcast if the narrator would pronounce the names of people (Joe KendRa?!?!) and places correctly. It frustrates me because the shows are obviously well researched and well produced and there are tools available for correct pronunciation. Please take the extra few minutes and do it.

    It’s so unnecessary for podcasts to add the generic sound effects. It is very dumb and disrespectful to victims. Seems like you have good stories, you should loss the stabby/woman getting beat/kid getting beat sounds.

    Love the show. Stop with the screaming animal ad. It’s SO loud and hurts my ears and I always panic to try and turn it down.

    listen i love your podcast and youtube channel very much. i really do. however, there’s one thing, it is unnecessary to add women screaming into the audio. it makes me uncomfortable. i don’t believe i’ve heard you add males screaming in there. these are REAL women who were murdered it’s just not tasteful. UPDATE looking through your reviews i’m clearly not the only one. do you even look at your reviews? Eww y'all there are mouth noises for eating. Like why. I went from loving this to absolutely hating your podcast.

    Love the show (but audio issue)
    I have follow this channel since their YouTube days and love their content and narration. However, I’ve noticed recently that new episodes are opening with a high pitched noise that can be painful if you’re wearing headphones.

    Accidental discovery
    Came upon this podcast. I love the calm delivery and story book reading. Very soothing. So much that I played it at night while lying in bed and ì drifting off… not because of the story but the voice. I woke up and replayed the story. Even if Ive heard the case before I still think it’s nice to hear it in this format./ setting. Thank you Keep it up.

    I’ve tried to listen to this podcast a few times but each time end up exasperated by the stupid sounding “sound effects!” Dude, so many mention this…please stop already! I really want to like this but can’t get past it. Also, please learn how to pronounce the towns you talk about.

    He knows that an aunt is not an insect and the stories are consistently good told with a great voice for a scripted podcast.

    Listened to the Kali Poulton episode, host could not get the victims name right. Pronounced first name wrong the entire episode and halfway through started saying “Poulter” instead of “Poulton” for last name.

    The audacity to bring up ‘god’ and that he still “loves” her after being murdered when her whole life was atheism and fighting for separation of church and state. So disrespectful of the host to include this piece of unnecessary opinion and painted her the villain who got murdered. Unfollowed.

    Kali Ann Poulton
    I can overlook the mispronunciation of ‘Kali’ but the narrator goes on to pronounce her last name as ‘Poulter’ throughout the episode. This case is dear to my heart, as I live in the area where she was abducted. If the narrator even watched one video regarding this case (specifically Kali’s mom’s pleas for help and justice) he’d know how to best pay tribute to Kali and her family, by saying her name correctly.

    I love the narrator’s voice. Even the music is fine. But the super unnecessary sound effects are cheap and really off putting. But seeing as most of the comments say something similar and the sound effects are still there…seems like I’ll have to find something else to listen to.

    I had to unfollow this show after a few months because the sound effects of people being murdered were too much for me. These are not fictional stories; they are real people’s horrific experiences.

    This show is cool with the narrator getting to the facts, many stories to listen too but don’t like some of the sound effects are disturbing and the recording repeats a few time on its self. That’s annoying.

    Very interesting and well researched but, for the love of all that is sacred, PLEASE don’t put anymore baby/screaming background sounds in the episode. It’s distracting and makes me want to skip over the noise. Otherwise, great pod, even featured my hometown in an episode!

    This podcast is a hit or miss, but the mispronunciation of “Delphi” did me in. I mean.. I’m a Hoosier and yea that one hits close to home, but ultimately, with so much coverage and so much interest, how on EARTH can you pronounce it wrong? Makes me think your research is sub-par at best. These cases matter to us. For the love of God, watch a snippet of a new’s segment or YouTube video, ask google, anything…just pronounce it correctly. Cause quite frankly, if you can’t even do the case THAT much justice, what else do you have wrong?

    Interesting stories…but…
    The stories themselves are interesting, but I have to agree with many who are stuck on the mispronunciation I was so many things. Not just people’s names, but names of the towns and even some common words. Please do some research on how to pronounce things before recording these stories. I also agree about the distracting background noises—the fake screams, barking dogs and knocking sounds. It makes it feel hokey. Again, the stories are interesting enough, and I like Andrew’s voice. If you can overlook the two items I mentioned, you’ll enjoy this podcast.

    The podcast is decent. The narrator is a bit monotone. However, his pronunciation of towns, rivers or places in the NW is killing me. He has mispronounced almost everything in every episode.
