    INCREDIBLE!!!
This is the first story I immersed myself into, from Danny Robins collection, at least what I’ve found so far. I couldn’t stop listening! I was compelled at the end of each episode to go directly into the next, as swiftly as possible! I listened to several episodes twice even, just to make sure I got every last detail! The stories are SO interesting, the way the series is laid out, the attention to detail, the interviews, differing perspectives…it’s perfect in my opinion. I can only hope Danny continues pumping out these compelling, documentary podcasts because I’ll be here for them all!!!

    Manipulative but fun
Really well-done and entertaining. The “investigation” gets hilarious as it is is obviously biased toward belief in the “haunting” and paranormal. Will just expect you to accept as facts “historical findings” from whoever and observations from the “paranormal expert.” The “skeptic” frames everything in psychological terms but rarely asks difficult questions. Very well-done manipulation.

    Boring and not engaging

    Brilliant!
Love the story within the story. The “guests” and narrator are so believable in their respective roles, combined with the tie ins to Enfield…as the listener, it’s a treat to actually begin to buy the tale. Transportive, entertaining & clever.

    The Dramatizations Are The Worst
I’ve enjoyed Danny’s other podcasts Haunted and Uncanny. But the decision to have dramatic re-enactments for this story was a mistake. It blurs the line between what is real and what is made up, not to mention the horrible, stilted script and bad acting.

    fun listen!
really enjoyed this podcast! it's an interesting mix of present-day interviews, research, discussions, and then the fictional recreation of real, past events. this isn't going to answer questions of whether ghosts are real, etc etc. it's just a fun little romp exploring some unexplained stuff in the past, it's not seeking to answer the mysteries of the world lol.

    Fun listen
I didn’t realize this was based on real events. That changed my opinion from a fun/easy radio drama to a worthy listen. It is a bit slow, but I definitely appreciate all the production elements. Will listen to more bbc podcasts and would watch the tv show.

    Wow! Just. Wow
This podcast is amazingly produced and is like “hearing” a James Wan film.

    The Boring and the Stupid
Usual fare. You got your dishes flying around, doors that slam, chairs that move, theres a young kid, some priest is called in to do an exorcism, etc. etc. etc., yada yada yada, and a partridge in a pear tree. Total waste of time.

    Entertaining
Well produced show. Great quality. Highly recommend if you’re into ghost stories. I enjoyed the smooth transitioning between past/present telling of the story. Thoroughly enjoyed this podcast.

    Juvenile and banal
The promotion of this podcast is entirely misleading. The reality is that It’s so boring and juvenile, I was shocked. Typically the BBC does a terrific job with podcasts. And, indeed, the production values of this one are first rate. It’s simply the story and the telling of it that’s dull as dirt. Don’t waste your time.
