How can you not love Adam and Jimmy? The show is both entertaining and informative with great guests. If you like retrievers this is the best podcast out there.

This is by far one of my favorite podcasts for retriever training. Super helpful, hilarious, and the intro songs are great. I’ve heard several topics on this show that have made me think about things differently, and understand a dog better. Y’all keep it real and it’s a blast to listen to!

I’ve got a pup with Jimmy and enjoy getting a glimpse into the daily routine. My favorite shows are when y’all pick a training topic and dissect the daily drill work from starting a concept to finish Episode 9 with Yankee Bob and Lorne!!!

Always great hearing the stories and training topics. New to training my lab for duck hunting. Excellent tips and entertaining.

Also fun to listen to the intro song. Never dull and always insightful!

There are a few good podcasts centered around retriever gundogs. Hands down, this one’s the best! I can tell you from experience, these guys know what they are talking about, tell you when something is out of their wheelhouse, and present it all with a friendly and humble enthusiasm.

Listen to this podcast as much as I can. Great people talking dogs and hunting. Awesome stories and great content!!!

I just wanted to say how much I enjoy this podcast. Not only do I learn a ton about a dog training with the ‘Golden Nuggets’, but they clearly have a voice for podcasting!

I wanted you to know that I just found the podcast. I heard about it through Lone Duck Dog Chronicles. I have also started listening to yours. I love it. I’m trying to get involved and love the sport. I live in North Alabama and found a club and went a couple weeks ago. Those guys, which there may have been some good ones there but they were not welcoming and didn’t try to help the new ones. I was really excited about it too. I left when I figured out how it was and was a little discouraged. But I have to say, I just listed to your podcast “what’s in your truck” from 3/10/22. I really appreciate the encouragement that you guys give the newer person. Thanks again and we will continue listening.

Great podcast. I’m a first year dog owner who is training myself with the help of a trainer who’s in another state and far away. This podcast has been very informative and helpful. You guys should have Lorne L on every other show😂. He was fantastic. Keep doing what you’re doing. I really enjoy it.

Great show! Down to earth humble guys! Awesome guests, Funny, lots of knowledge, insight and gold nuggets!! Jimmy is currently training 2 of my dogs. Love duck hunting but never had water dog. Looking forward to the good times and titles to come. My job doesn’t allow me the time I want and need to spend on my dogs I know Jimmy will do them right. My wife and I are very pleased with Jimmy and his program. Anyone in or near Kentucky looking for a professional trainer, we highly suggest Jimmy At Mallard Run Kennels.

Thank you for this podcast! I worked field trials in high school in North Mississippi and one In Arkansas. I also grew up with about 10 coon dogs and 15-30 deer dogs. I’m training my lab pup and would love to enter him in a field trial. I enjoy and soak up the Information that y’all are giving. The come back whistle/ over shooting birds is something I have done and it works. My pup is a year old and we are lucky enough to practice on a golf course- it is the only land around us that we can do long retrieves. ( or the beach) it’s tourist season in Hilton Head, SC so the beach is too packed. I wish I could find more places with water to practice that doesn’t have gators in it. I love waterfowl hunting but the only hunting (to kill birds) are the plantations that release birds for someone to shoot. I like the work and thought process of hunting. Not be charged $25-30 per bird. I miss the Mississippi flyaway!!!!
