I started with the ‘Neighbors’ episode. Okay, they didn’t really GET that film. But worse, they said that it contained no good music. Try one more time to watch Cap’n Vic cooking.

Very nicely done movie review (and good backstory/ history) podcast with 2 guys that have good banter, know what they are talking about. I'm flying through these, they are without a doubt an easy listening. Shout out to the one guy that saw his first movie (Back to School) at the Tyson Theater in NE Phila! I too am long gone from Cottman ave and the Roosevelt Mall but here I find (via the interwebs) a fellow Great Northeaster far from that place. Keep these podcasts coming, they are great!

Just discovered this podcast and really enjoying it. Love the format of chronologically going thru the movie and the random trivia and points of interest. Just the kind of stuff I love. Almost deducted a star for the one host who seems to say “to be honest with you” way too much. Just say what you gotta say. We believe you.

Exactly the podcast I wanted, not over produced, just smart guys talking about our favorite movies. ❤️

Not afraid to indulge in genuine affection for these nostalgic classics. This is a very fun and informative show and the hosts stick to looking at the movies for what they were in the 80s. They’re definitely one of the best retro movie podcasts out there.

Thanks for the great review of Thief. Been many years since I last saw it and didn’t appreciate as much as I should have the first view. The mood set up by Tangerine Dreams’ score is so perfect and I felt along the ways that I was watching an extended Miami Vice episode. The only disagreement I have with you is with Tuesday Weld. I really enjoyed the development of their relationship and it felt very real and loving to me. Also so impressed with how Michael Mann brought out both the beauty and the grit of Chicago.

These guys are the best! I equate a podcast to a long road trip with friends. These are two guys I would love to take along. They are entertaining and insightful. They do their homework! The best part is hearing. “What is your thought Bill BANDT!” (Excuse the sp…if incorrect)

Please adjust the audio levels. Very unbalanced. Turn it up to hear Bill comfortably and Jason blasts my eardrums

I have always enjoyed 80s movies being a 90s kid growing up. Wasn’t sure at first but after pressing play on ep1 I was hooked, also being from Detroit I never knew robocop was everything but filmed in Michigan.

As a product of the 80s and a salesman on the road, this Podcast is a gift. The hosts are a perfect match, Bill is a bit reserved and Jason is the opposite. Keep up the good work guys… and keep em coming.

This podcast is speaking my language! As someone who spent their childhood with the films of the 80’s, the nostalgia factor here is real. I started with the episode covering Summer School. I was instantly zapped back in time and forgot it’s 2021. These hosts are so clearly in love with the films of this decade. Their passion and knowledge is unmatched. Based on their conversation I immediately logged onto to my computer and purchased a digital copy of the film. I truly mean this when I say, this is a must listen.
