Danish is a tough language to learn if you’re not in Denmark—not because the language is hard, but because there just aren’t a lot of great resources to help you learn it. This is one of the rare, great resources for Danish learners. There is no “News in Slow Danish” podcast I’ve been able to find, and no equivalents to podcasts I love for German learners like Slow German mit Annik Rubens. For people who learn using comprehensible input, beginner-level content is very hard to come by. Simple Danish fills the gap. You won’t find a better immersion podcast for beginners learning Danish. The Danishtube Podcast comes close, but Simple Danish beats it for immersion despite the smaller episode selection because it does *not* interrupt with English that will bring you out of the language acquisition flow. This is a podcast in Danish, for Danish learners. It’s fantastic. My only gripe is that there aren’t more, longer episodes. I’ve listened to the ones that are already out dozens of times because I just can’t find much other content out there that fills the niche the Simple Danish Podcast does: clear, simple speech for learners WITHOUT ENGLISH INTERRUPTIONS. Seriously, it’s great. Please keep making this podcast!!! Thank you for the great content!
