    So helpful!
As a busy mom that has struggled with hormone imbalance, I really appreciate these short and informative episodes! I became an Evlo member a few months ago and this has been the only program that I can stay consistent with and actually look forward to taking each day. Highly recommend listening in!

I really appreciate these podcasts. They are educational but short and to the point which allows me to focus and not zone out half way through!

    Evlo is wonderful
I’ve been doing Evlo fitness now for almost 3 years and I truly love that there is a lot of thought put into it to get quality workouts in 35 minutes. She doesn’t add fluff to the exercises. The deep breathing we do at the beginning has helped my body not dread the workouts as much. This podcast dives into the science behind it all and I really enjoy listening and learning from Dr. Shannon. Thank you!

I love this podcast. Every episode I’ve listened to has been full of helpful, science-backed information that I can understand and implement in my life. I really appreciate how Dr. Shannon launches straight into the topic and keeps her show as efficient as possible.

    Highly recommend
Love the format! Short, sweet and to the point hitting you with fitness knowledge. She does such a great job in elaborating such simple questions that become far too complicated in the fitness industry. Thank you for all the love you pour out into this podcast, Dr. Shannon! 🤍

    Best fitness podcast!
I heard Dr. Shannon on another podcast being interviewed & I loved everything about what she stands for. I started using her fitness app Evlo & there is no going back once you’ve tried her way of working out. I’m 100% committed to her & her information! I love this podcast & am always checking for new epidsodes!! Thanks for what you do Shannon!! 🫶🏻

    The BEST!
I absolutely love the Evlo method and this Podcast. Dr. Shannon is doing incredible work by bringing science backed information to often misunderstood fitness concepts. I am a fitness and Pilates instructor, and LOVE listening to the ways in which the fitness industry has totally misguided our training. Dr. Shannon is spot on. Her method has done wonders for my exercise routine and I have never felt stronger!

Science based, informative, and a great host!!
Dr. Shannon’s show is always so refreshing. She breaks things down with science in an easy to understand way, but also feels like I’m talking to a girlfriend. Love all the topics and range of her knowledge!

This podcast has taught me so much!
Dr Shannon explains health and fitness in a very digestible way. There are multiple opinions out there but she makes it easy to understand based on research. I could listen to her speak for hours. I have learned so much and I am so appreciative of the time and effort Shannon puts in to share her knowledge with her audience. I have been taking notes and I am so excited to start implementing her tips into my daily routines. This podcast is so good that I listen to multiple episodes over and over!

    Love this podcast, love Evlo!
I started Evlo one year ago, and I cannot believe the way my body has changed. I used to be a runner and constantly felt sore and beat up. Since starting this program, my body composition has changed for the better. My posture is better, my metabolism is better and my mental health is better! All of the instructors are very knowledgeable and make classes fun. I cannot recommend it enough. I am 45 years old and in the best shape of my life. It has awesome feeling the accomplishment of increasing my weights as time goes on. I love having this podcast to delve into topics that are brought up during class to a deeper level. Dr. Shannon does a great job of breaking down the information so anyone can understand it and benefit from it. I highly recommend Evlo and this podcast to anyone who is looking to improve their life through fitness and knowledge :)

    Must listen for fitness education!!
ABSOLUTELY LOVE. I found Dr. Shannon and EVLO 5 months ago. I’ve learned so much and feel empowered and competent in improving my own fitness and health. I used to feel frustrated in trying different things, hoping to improve my body composition but not sure what was really working. I appreciate Dr. Shannon for sharing quality, digestible information for free on this show, especially when there’s so much noise and programming in the fitness industry.

    Incredibly Helpful!!
It can be hard to get clear information as a woman, avoiding diet culture as much as possible while still wanting to be healthy and strong. I have gained so much from listening to this podcast. Dr. Shannon thoroughly researches all of her topics and explains them simply, providing examples, addressing different stages of life, and emphasizing sustainable changes. I have learned a lot about how to really care for myself without running myself into the ground, injuring myself, or yo-yo-ing with habits. I have paired it with participating in Evlo for a few months now and have seen wonderful changes influenced by building new strength training and nutrition habits, again working smarter not harder. Highly recommend both this podcast and Evlo to get clear information and support that helps you care for, and advocate for yourself and your body.

    LOVE!!
Every episode Dr. Shannon puts out is so educational and helpful. As an occupational therapist, I love hearing and listening to the newest research around muscle building and the benefits not only for my own health, but to be a better therapist for my patients. I love that the show dosent have ads and she gets right to the point. This is my favorite podcast to listen to every week! I’m also a Evlo member and love that the workouts are manageable. I suffered from a back injury from doing heavy bent over rows and never thought I would be able to find an exercise that would provide the same load or stimulus to my back. Evlo provides SO many different options for loading your muscles and I’ve found it extremely helpful during my workouts. Love love love everything Dr. Shannon and her team does!

    Life Changing
I found this podcast after watching Dr. Shannon’s first interview on the Skinny Confidential and I have listened to this podcast every day since. I started going to the gym 1.5 years ago and really struggled with the question of if what I was doing was enough. After finding this podcast I’ve learned that what I was doing was actually way too much, breaking down my body and making me feel terrible. This podcast has not only taught me about how exercise works but also how to build healthy habits, eliminating toxins, meal plan, etc. I ended up cancelling my gym membership and signing up for EVLO 1 month ago and I have already starting noticing a huge shift in my energy levels, mood, and overall feelings towards exercise. I’m so grateful I found this podcast and cannot thank Dr. Shannon and the EVLO team enough for all of the education and the incredible app!

    Sad to leave
I used to love this podcast but lately Dr. Shannon has had pseudo-scientists on, which degrades the value of her brand. Evlo and her exercise program are grounded in science but when she has people on who aren’t registered dieticians and aren’t actually educated in the things they are speaking about (Bare Nutrition and Just Ingredients) it makes me question the integrity of everything else. Hope she takes this constructive criticism because it used to be so good.

This show is a must listen! So much great information delivered in a really digestible way!

    My favorite fitness podcast!
Dr. Shannon has such a unique talent for making complex information easy to grasp. I leave every episode with tangible tips & so many takeaways. Like so many other women, I have a complicated relationship with exercise and I attribute much of my positive growth in that area to this show. Thank you, Dr. Shannon for all you do in this space!

The show is a master class on fitness for females!
She answers a lot of the FAQs I get as a coach and trainer. This is an ideal podcast for the type-A, go-go-go, woman who is overtrained and underfed. She lays out the science in a compelling way and paints a picture of a new way to approach fitness that actually yields results and prioritizes health at the same time. I share her show with so many of my female clients.

    Insightful & meaningful
I always love Dr Shannon’s podcasts. I learn & think alot about what she shares. It makes a positive difference in my life and well-being for now and my healthy future. Updated 2/2023 I appreciate Dr Shannan’s honesty, knowledge and selection of what she teaches us. She provides information that actually is really helpful and relevant to our lives & workouts. Thank you Shannon for the continued podcasts. You are making a difference in my life! 💗 Updated 8/2024- still my go to podcast to learn about fitness, health & receive encouragement. Perfect podcast for people just starting out in exercise & for long timers. I love how this podcast works so well with what we are doing at EVLO too.

    Top fitness pod
The most informative fitness podcast out there. She not only debunks myths of social media fad workouts, but Shannon does a great job of making her information helpful to everyone. If you want to take her info into a great workout, check out EVLO fitness- she creates effective workouts with her vast science/anatomy knowledge.

    So informative
Love this podcast and method, Shannon! Thanks for sharing your wisdom. As someone who’s had several injuries, and have spent a lot of time doing physical therapy exercises, I’ve gained weight, so understood I needed to add muscle, but I felt unequipped going back to the gym to “try things out again and see how they feel” , fearing risk of re injury. So Shannon’s focus on nervous system as “software” - that it’s not just about the muscle “hardware” - is really instructive. Also great info about cardio workouts, stress and recovery, and in depth episodes about hormones like insulin and cortisol and impact with exercise. Would love a podcast about muscle hypertrophy and how it can improve cardiovascular health, including goals like lowering cholesterol, LDL levels, etc. Thanks for this great education!
  • Charburst

I refer all of my patients to Evlo following physical therapy. Shannon is an extreme wealth of knowledge and I learn so much from her podcast. Her wisdom is necessary for all humans to live their most optimal lives. Thank you Shannon!

    Uninformed about hormones
Stating that hormones have nothing to do with the ability to lose is just wrong. I would suggest some education on menopause.

Clear, sensitive, and balanced fitness information
Dr Shannon is a sensitive and balanced guide through the complex world of fitness. She is great at making scientific information understandable to a lay audience. She brings on great experts to supplement her expertise. Thank you Dr Shannon!

    Life changing!
I have always loved high intensity training and was very skeptical when I came across EVLO and this podcast. I was hesitant to jump into the program but after having a bad case of tendinitis in my knee I came across Dr. Shannon’s instagram page and eventually this podcast and dove into the episodes! I love how Dr. Shannon and her guests get so scientific about what’s actually happening in our bodies and what our bodies need to gain muscle! So many workout programs have users going through the motions and not seeing results. I feel a new spark for fitness after listening to all of these podcasts and am so excited for my EVLO workouts each day. They still are challenging without being so hard on my body. I am starting to get better with the mind-muscle connection and can feel muscles firing so much better than I ever have before! I’d be curious to learn more about calories and how many calories women typically need? I’ve read that we typically need more than society leads us to believe, at least 2,000+ for an active woman to maintain their weight? I find that I need way more than I previously thought but would love an episode talking more about this with a nutrition expert!

    So informative!!!
I recently found this podcast and seriously can’t get enough!! It’s quickly become a go-to resource for me. I really appreciate the educational approach Dr. Shannon takes on the topics she covers she is very transparent and everything is heavily researched. I’ve learned so much about the importance of resistance training and women building muscle in their 30’s. I wish I would have found her earlier and been more informed on the benefits of strength training, instead of just being influenced by all the health/fitness claims and marketing that’s out there. She is a breath of fresh air!! She’s an awesome example and someone to look to for credible, educational information. Thanks for the amazing episodes Shannon!!

I look forward to this podcast everyday!
This podcast is your calling! I appreciate all of your hard work and research you put into your podcasts and I love to listen. I’m building a better me with every episode! Thank you so much Dr. Shannon!

Fit Body, Happy Joints ® podcast
I have been listening to Fit Body, Happy Joints ® for about a year and have been doing the exercises from Evlo along with it! First of all, Shannan and everyone else are so good to instruct first and give different options for doing exercises. They are sticklers for proper form and for the proper mentality about exercise. I have been so impressed with the teaching and I have learned so much about how to take care of my body while building muscle! I am 65 years old and I am building my soul by doing this program in addition to proper nutrition. I can’t believe how good I feel and how thankful I am that my sister-in-law told me about this program. Thank you, Shannan and for caring about passing along the way to a healthy lifestyle. Polly

    Love her science based research
after listening to a handful of podcasts, Dr. shannon made me realize that I’m likely overtraining my body. I’m week 2 into her app and I have more energy, body feels less “beat up” and muscles are toned. Thank you for inspiring me with science based research to follow your approach!! I’m a huge fan of strength training and did not want to give it up… Just had to find a way to dial it back.
  • kblanco87
    Lacking Info on Research
I think the podcast comes off as well researched but in many episodes where research is mentioned there is not information shared on the study group. For example most studies are done on white men, not women, not POC, so it’s not completely inaccurate. It’s clear that whatever she’s putting out is to sell her workout app. It’s okay, some good info but heavily biased.
  • All2ridehorses
    Exceptional Podcast!
Love, love, love this podcast! Shannon is so generous in providing immensely helpful information, particularly for those of us who have been prone to over-exercising and not seeing the results we want. And I say this from the podcast information only—I have not yet joined Evlo, her exercise platform, only because I have a series of upcoming vacations, after which I can truly focus on her method. I highly recommend listening to her series. I loved the first one I heard so much that I’ve been working my way through all of them!
  • atd2691
    AMAZING podcast!
I could listen to her all day! Shannon provides digestible knowledge and information. I like how she emphasizes gentle consistency and that you don’t have to lift heavy to get results. Results and protect my joints? I’ll take that! I have learned so much from her and look forward to more episodes!
  • LizaP101
    My favorite podcast!
The best podcast to listen to - Shannon only shares information from her expertise and invites guests on the show to share their expertise! The content is SO good and I trust her sources and research. Such good topics - I love thursdays because it’s new episode day!

    Excited to learn more!
Starting listening because I have been a runner and pilates gal for three years and am not seeing the results I want. Was curious about weight lifting and after listening to only a few episodes, SO many of my concerns have already been addressed. I have a lot of great lifestyle habits already (no alcohol, quality sleep, daily movement) but am ready to take my fitness to the next level. Excited to keep listening and learn more about how to not only achieve my goals but look and feel my best!
  • Lauren Bozon
    A+ podcast in all aspects!
Shannon is very gifted in distilling lots of complicated research into a comprehensible “serving” of information that you can take with you and use immediately. She doesn’t pack too much information into one episode that it’s impossible to digest or remember. I also really appreciate that she is incredibly efficient in her delivery — she is friendly and personable, yet doesn’t waste her listeners’ time with “fluff”. She gives enough examples to illustrate her points, but not so much that it becomes redundant or tedious. Just really well done.

Great podcast, great host and content!
Recently came across the Fit Body, Happy Joints podcast and am really enjoying it. Really appreciated the episode about how to use (and not) use fitness wearables. Also, the episode with Registered Dietitian, Esosa Osagiede, about carb cycling. This was such a clear explanation of the process and so helpful! So many amazing takeaways! Can't wait to listen to more episodes! Thank you!

    Incredibly Helpful Fitness Knowledge
I started listening to these podcasts due to my lower back pain/interest in managing it through fitness, and since then I have also begun the Evlo Fitness program. I am so very thrilled with the quality of these podcasts and how helpful the knowledge is for my year before 40 fitness journey. Used in combo with the Evlo program, I am seeing such great results!! Definitely my favorite health and fitness podcast out there!
