Ron0824Umbria and Le MarcheWonderful to hear this segment on your Italy regions series. Both are the lands of my ancestors who came to America in he early 1900s. Not many emigrated from these regions to America so they aren’t on many radars when people travel to Italy. My ancestors settled in NE Pennsylvania to work in the coal mines. Many Umbri and Marchigiani settled in this area. Like you said I grew up on pasta of course but also beans, lentils and cured meats such as lonza from Umbria!

Tina PryorI love, love, love this podcast! My husband and I have been trying to get to Italy for over 10 years and finally just decide to make it happen so we booked our plane tickets for the last of April for 3 weeks! We are so excited so I started looking for Italy podcast and we were so excited to find this one! We have learned so much and enjoy listening to all of your stories and suggestions! Keep up the good work! We are about half way through your list and I’ll be so sad when we’ve listened to them all and have to wait til the next one!

TiffanyinItaliaGetting off the beaten pathI’m so glad that I stumbled upon this podcast. I do volunteer work with an organization in Italy. When I’m there, I’m never in the big 3, but hosted in lesser known regions and smaller towns. I love to listen to podcasts to prepare for a trip, and I was never able to find good content in English about the places that I would be visiting. That’s until I found Kimberley’s Italy! I love how our hosts set the mood for the location, give you a taste of what you’ll experience there, and make you feel like you’re sitting down to an aperitivo to discuss it with friends. Take advantage of their advice about getting off of the beaten path, or maybe even let them just create an adventure for you! Grazie.
-
JMikieAlways looking forward to the show but #159?Portofino or Positano? 😳 You mention both in the podcast interchangeably. It’s not tom-A-to to-MAH-to. It’s more like tomato potato…one in Ligure and the other in Bay of Naples. Love you both! But have Kimberly proofread the next time you got it alone! 😉 Michael from California.
-
Orbital Groove ChadGreat showI started listening many months before our two week trip to Italy in May and loved the relaxed and informative topics on everything Italy! And now months later , still listening as my constant connection to the beauties of Italia!!!

Kate/TWSMI ♥️ Kimberly’s Italy!Unfortunately, I came upon this podcast very close to wheels up for our trip to Italy. Fortunately, I was able to binge a good many of the shows before heading across the pond. This couple is very genuine, incredibly amusing and truly insightful. Their influence prepared us for Italy’s very flavor and pace while giving us tips and ideas on dealing with both. Kimberly graciously agreed to help me with our remaining travel planning and provided excellent tips and recommendations. Although we don’t have a return trip scheduled yet, I continue to listen to the podcasts religiously. I’ll contact Kimberly to arrange our travels before we do ANY booking next time! Grazie Mille!

Abby.s.Learning while laughing!Incredibly grateful for this duo! Their mixture of entertaining travelogue, educational cultural/historical segments, and practical travel tips has been extremely helpful when planning AND making the most of our trips to Italy. Their passion is contagious, plus they never fail to crack me up! I really feel like I’m sitting around a table with extremely knowledgeable friends—my gold standard for a podcast! Here’s hoping we’ll pass each other in an Autogrill someday lol

AbsioniNo informationReally no information about the town itself. I only heard their personal problem situations. Finding a pharmacy, power outage. Oh well

Shad from North JerseyKimberly la Generosa!!Kimberly has guided me through many an adventure from the comfort of my deck chair, kept me smiling and in charming company for hours in the car and generously offered up a bevy of knowledge that I could never claim to have absorbed otherwise. Tomasso is okay too, (wink wink, haha). To take in her podcast is a pleasure on all days and mostly feels like conversing with a friend. Talk, laugh, sip, tell stories and laugh some more, what else is life about? Her travel services were also highly appreciated and certainly worth everyone’s consideration when pondering trips to Italy. Thank you Kimberly and Tomasso for your shared joy and knowledge. You’ve both been truly generous to us all. Shad from North Jersey

Eddie PanicGlad I found youKimberly and Tommaso - love that you call him Tommaso. Every episode is good fun, and chock full of info. I fully understood Tommaso’s dedication to eating Ragu 3x in 24 hours. That’s the stuff dreams are made of. Also, shout out to Conrado - now I want to go to Lucca. That was a great episode, but then again, they all are. Lastly - I’m one of those DIY travelers, but getting tips from you really helps out. Ciao, a proximo podcast. (I think that means - bye, till the next podcast) Update: I gave this five stars last time, but after further review - 10 stars would be more accurate. As I mentioned previously, I’m one of those who likes to plan his own travel, I’m good at it, and people like me for doing it :-) But getting some great ideas and insights from Kimberly and her side kick, Tommaso. One thing I will say, I haven’t driven in Italy - but I’m thinking on one my future trips, I’m doing it!
-
AbqdebbieI love your podcast but…….Kimberly, I’m so happy I found your podcast and adore you and Tommasso. It has helped me so much in planning our next trip to Italy. This time it will be Umbria, Puglia and Naples! I just finished listening to episode 89 in Procida. Here’s my problem…. You don’t tell us the name of that fabulous hotel or the name of that fabulous hotel at the Rome airport. I wish that info would be in your show notes!! Are you keeping it a secret for your clients? Please share. Grazie Mille, Debbie in Albuquerque.

Toni NotoSo fun and full of historical facts and travel tips, language explanations.I LOVE LOVE LOVE this podcast. I have so many burst out loud laughter moments listening to Kimberly & Tommaso. Yet, it’s so full of important history - Kimberly is exceptionally detailed in her descriptions & keeps it so fun with her Tommaso. They complement each other magnificently with their fun interactive conversations. This podcast is a must for local knowledge before traveling to your next Italian destination. I’m listening to all earlier podcasts to catch up!!

Yosemite 00345Funny & informativeI love each and every episode because it’s funny and informative. Excellent. Name the group kitten club and Tom cats.

Hill Country LindaRemembering my travels, looking forward to more.I spent 3 weeks in Italy in 1980 driving to many of the larger cities (got engaged on a gondola in Venice) but now I can’t wait to travel there again even if it has to be by myself! I want to see the back roads and smaller towns which you are so good at describing to make more memories. Thank you so much. You bring the history and the culture alive!
-
#SClifeWhat a treasure! It was a happy accident to find Kimberly’s Italy. Immediately fell in love with a delightful banter between Kimberly and her husband Tommaso. Beyond the entertainment, they offer serious advice on making the most of an Italian trip beyond the tourist traps. I’ve binged mini episodes, and then decided to engage her to help me plan a trip to the Amalfi coast. It was a wise financial investment- I think I will be her client for life!
-
CeceliaeThe best of ItalyListening to Kimberly’s Italy invites curiosity about parts of Italy I’ve not yet had the pleasure to go; makes me laugh about her crazy adventures with friends or the ‘kittens’; and most of all makes me want to be one of the future ‘kittens’ and experience first hand the best of Italy with Il Capo at the helm!!
-
JH197Fun and Educational Intro to All Things Italy!I’ve been listening for a while now and what sets this podcast apart for me is Kimberly and Tomaso’s amusing banter. Kimberly knows a lot about what to see and do in Bella Italia and has so many wonderful stories to share about her time in Italy. Tomaso fills in some of the history of the various Italian cities and regions and also offers an occasional deep dive into some of the more technical aspects of traveling in Italy. Together they share with listeners their excitement for the food and culture of Italy. This has become my go-to Italy podcast. Kimberly and Tomaso keep it fun!
-
BluCat818Pasta Al LemoneListened to your great podcast for a while now. Really enjoyed listening to guests, stories, and the pasta al lemone episode is no exception. Also, I was wondering if you can just put the recipe on your website, it would be less work for you and it’s easier for us to just visit your website instead of dealing with pdfs. I hope you’ll do a podcast on bakeries and cafes in the future. Thank you!
-
Sandman 1211FlightmareAs usual, you and Tomasso are so informative. Most of the problems with our airline industry has to do with lack of leadership from Pete Buttigieg.

Katie in Oregon!Grateful!I’m so grateful to have found Kimberly’s Italy! Kimberly & Tommaso clearly have authentic passion for all things Italian. Whether you have been, want to go, or are currently planning a trip to Italy, you will LOVE listening to them share their passion for food, art, architecture, screwy, & the Italian people. They have true chemistry on air & they’re just a whole lot of fun! I have listened & re-listened to several episodes pertaining to an upcoming trip & have taken their recommendations to heart. I wish I had found them sooner; I’d have her plan my trip 💖! Next time! I have a fantasy about taking my girlfriends with me so we can be in our own “Kitten Club”! 😹😺Kimberly would fit right in! To Kimberly & Tommaso, keep up the fun, interesting, educational stories & content coming! Grazie for being so awesome! Katie in Oregon, USA

rebeccagThe very best travel podcast - period! My family and I are traveling to Italy this June. And over the last months I have listened to every single episode of every podcast on travel to Italy - and Kimberly’s is by far the most informative, entertaining and inspiring. If only I had found her earlier, I would have engaged with her to plan our entire trip. Next time for sure. Rebecca Slaven

winerygirlgnOutstanding PodcastI absolutely love listening to Kimberly’s Italy! When listening to the podcast I feel like I am right along side the journey enjoying the conversation and laughs. I will be going to Italy this winter and Kimberly’s podcast has been the best way to learn about the sites and history of Rome. I am looking forward to my travels! Thanks Kimberly!!

Marla MeridithLa Nostra Selvaggia Avventura in Italia!Ciao! It’s been a while since our Epic Italian Road Trip to Bella Italia…I’m finally writing about the wild 2 week experience I shared with my two teens. It was quite the adventure to say the least! Our travels were in August 2022
-
blondie1746My favorite podcastI had 2 trips to Italy planned for 2020, and then the pandemic. I started listening to various podcasts to fill my soul with all things Italy. I have listened to many, but when I stumbled upon Kimberly's Italy I was hooked. I have listened to every episode and look forward to each week. As well as the Instagram and Facebook posts. You've talked about your early days, working in Italy. And you have mentioned Tom's sailing. I would love an episode on how you and Tom met. You both seem to have fascinating lives and I enjoy listening to you both!
-
TbmotorcrossOne Crazy Day in NapoliLet me first say that I love your show! My first trip to Italy was September 2021 and fell in love with Italy! We visited Rome, Amalfi Coast, and Naples. We leave next week to visit Milan, Varenna, Venice, and Florence. While listening to the podcast about Naples, it reminded me of our day and a half there. I almost fell out of my chair at work when your group said how fun it was but with the side note of not having to go back. That was us totally! It was great to see but once was enough! It was an awesome experience, however!
-
BetsyAdcockWONDERFUL!!!Thank you for this podcast- i just recently found it and am devouring episodes My daughter and I will be in italy this may to celebrate her doctoral graduation. We are travelers interested in soaking up the beauty and culture of our destination without feeling over planned or stressed. Your outlook on travel matches ours and i’ve zeroed in on particular episodes for great ideas ! We didn’t want a super hectic “grand tour” so we picked 3 areas and are staying in each for 3-4 days: Varenna on Lake Como, Chianti ( to see both Florence and Sienna) and Vernazza on the Cinques Terre. With a day and a 1/2 at the end in Milano. I am loving your stories and tips for these areas and know this first trip to Italy will start a love affair with the land and culture! Grazie molto ❤️ Betsy Adcock Weems, Virginia
-
Buster6789Grazie Mille Kimberly & Tommaso! We leave for a beautiful one month grand tour through central Italy in less than a month. I do a ton of research but I just discovered your podcast this past week. Despite all of our accommodations booked last year and many activities already secured, I really enjoy the pace, conversation, tips and insights in your episodes. Thank you so much for doing this! Grazie Mille, Jaimi
-
denisem166Grazie Mille Tommaso and Kimberly!I wanted to say how much I enjoy your amazing podcast! I have been listening for close to a year now and your podcast was such a great resource for my trip to tremezzo, castiglione d’orcia/pienza, venice and florence last September. We had such a wonderful time and I was able to talk my best friend’s ear off about the history and significance of the areas we were walking through. Furthermore, I’ve continued listening your podcast because it is the optimal form of escapism from my corporate job. Listening to you and Tom brightens my week and transports me to Italy! I have a newfound love for the country, as well as a desire to speak the language, and would love to retire in tremezzo in a home with a similar view to ristorante Al veluu! Also, my friend and I are heading to Amalfi and capri this October (hotels booked and all)! Your capri episode inspired us! Grazie mille a tutti! 💕
-
JJqponBravissimoKimberly (La Cappa) and Tomaso will transport you instantly to Italy with their storytelling. Their back and forth banter, fun stories and great tips, make me look forward to this podcast every week. Headed to Italy in May —on the itinerary are Lake Como, the Tuscany region and Rome and visiting some of their suggestions. But next time I plan a trip, I will use Kim’s travel planning services. Two suggestions - Tomaso - Basta with telling to Kimberly to keep her shows to 30 minutes. We need an hour of her weekly, please! Also, I’d love for you guys to interview some past clients who went with you on trips (Kitten Club 1 and 2) and clients who had you help them plan couple or family trips. Keep up the great work.
-
JamieClareSo so engaging, love it!I just found this podcast and I love it! There are very few podcasts that I can get in to and this is one of them. The storytelling is informative, interesting, and hilarious. The production and sound quality is top notch. This podcast is making me want to both travel and cook! Please Kimberly, keep sharing recipes!

lasoller67Lost in LuccaI’m literally GASPED out loud when I heard someone actually left a 1 star review!! So this is my protest to that review… I randomly googled Florence, Italy and came across Kimberly’s Italy while planning my solo trip to Florence for my Birthday in Nov 2022. I have listened to every episode and then listen again. When I miss an episode, I felt like I missed catching up with old friends. And then when I listen, all is right with the world. Because of Kimberly, I decided to take a train to Lucca, I was hopelessly “Lost in Lucca” on all the back alleyways, but found the wall to walk on and found the tower, but only made it up half way up before my fear of heights got the best of me. Then found a little tiny place that sold pizza by the slice before catching the train back to Florence. This whim of a day would not have been possible without her and Tomasso’s podcast - it’s simply PERFECTION!
-
jeanbean2my nightly companions to worki’ve been immensely enjoying this podcast the last few months. my friend and i are headed to italy to celebrate our 50th bdays so i just searched one of our destinations and this popped up. the imagery is vivid and i often drive to work with a smile on my face imagining the food, the flora and fauna and the history…oh my goodness the history. this all drives me more and more to complete my italian dual citizenship…and finally learn the language. i wish i had found this all during the beginning of covid; not being able to travel was just the worst for me. thank you for taking me on an adventure every evening!
-
LRP112Informative with personality!I have been listening to this podcast for months and have gone back and listened to any episode about a destination that I am interested in. Kimberly and Tom bring to life the sights and sounds and tastes of traveling through Italy all while you think you are having a cocktail with them! The listener walks away with an understanding of not only the important sights in a town, village or city but the vibe. Whether you are looking for a buzzy and busy piazza or a serene and quiet rural village or something in between, Kimberly sets the scene. I also love that she doesn’t over sell a destination but is honest about her experiences — the good and the bad. I am an independent traveler and love to plan my own trips, but of the 3-4 podcasts about travel in Italy that I listen to, this one is tops.
-
Design Girl DCTravel Adventures and Hidden GemsKimberly and Tommaso are a marvelous duo! My husband and I fondly refer to them as the Click and Clack of travel adventures. Their immense knowledge of art, architecture, food, history, and culture infuses every episode with endless resources and enjoyment. They are sincere, insightful, and laugh out loud funny. As art history and architecture enthusiasts, we enjoy exploring each region of Italy through their experiences and deep dive delivery. We look forward to every episode. What a gift to the community! Mille Grazie!
-
Lori USAAmazing podcast!I found Kimberly’s Italy and wow am I glad I did! I have enjoyed every episode and virtually travelled through Italy with Kimberly and Tomaso. I’ve been to Italy many times and relived my trips through this podcast. The places I haven’t been, like the Apulia region, sound fascinating. Kimberly’s narration along her sense of humor and banter with Tomaso make each episode unique. I often find myself laughing out loud as I listen and learn. Thank you for sharing your life and experiences with us. Maybe one day you can plan a trip for us. ❤️
-
Francesca JohnsonGRAZIE, Kimberly ❤️Dear Kimberly, Our forthcoming Italy adventure this coming late May brought me to your podcast just recently. I started with the Amalfi Coast episodes as that part of Italy will be first in our itinerary. I listen to you and Tomasso as my husband and I work out in the gym. I am excited to see that your library already includes the other stops in Italy that will be part of our train adventure from Campania Region going north to the Dolomites! You and Tomasso will surely keep me pumped up and even more excited for our next Italian sojourn! You are such a great communicator and I enjoy learning about history, geography, culture and all the travel tips! I am also amused by your funny banter with your partner Tomasso. You have a great chemistry going on. Btw is that you and Tomasso in the picture? Great to put a face to the voice. Thank you for your podcast. I sure will continue listening to you and Tomasso. I truly believe traveling is soul expanding and you are truly a catalyst to that. Take care and yes- I can’t wait to have limoncello again and allow the spirits to move me even more! Grazie, Angelina Relos

as082486My first and only ever podcast review because I LOVE THIS PODCASTStumbled upon Kimberly’s Italy as we started to plan our trip to Italy and I’ve gotten through all the episodes in like, a month?! Kimberly and Tommaso tell such wonderfully detailed stories about their times in Italy. Makes walking through the cold streets of winter in Philly is manageable as I listen to them. We’re so in love with Kimberly’s extensive knowledge of Italy, the culture, history, and her incredible way of making lifelong friends across Italy that we reached out to her to help us plan our trip this summer. Even if you aren’t going to Italy any time soon, take a listen!
-
Sara O'Connor JohnsonLoveI absolutely adore this show. Someday will make it to Italy and in the meantime live vicariously through Kimberly’s lovely stories of Italy. Loved the one on Copenhagen as a special treat as well.
-
Elli397So much fun to listen to and very informative!Love this podcast, it brings to life italy through my headphones! My boyfriend and I are planning our first trip to Italy right now and this podcast is helping so much with identifying what we want to see in each place we will be going to. As well as how to prepare. The only bad thing about this podcast is how impatient it’s making me!!! After each episode im like “okay how many days left until I get to go?!” 😂
-
sandy 927I love this podcast!Having visited Italy solo this past summer, I love listening to these two as you can clearly tell how much they love it as well! I will be returning this summer (of course!) and am always wanting to hear of new places to venture to in Italy. I love their sense of adventure, their love of food and Aperol Spritzs and for the Italian culture. They make it fun! Thank you for sharing!
-
nightwish-centuryFun and informative podcast of ItalyKimberly and Tomaso are fun, entertaining couple with great stories and knowledge of Italy. Kimberly is a fantastic story teller who thoroughly describes areas. They give a great taste of popular and lesser known but fabulous sites to see and places to dine. Listening to their light-hearted episodes, I have so many places to visit there on my wish list. Great insider tips and experiences that really help prepare you for Italy.
-
Cookie geniusBest podcast!I love this podcast; it’s like taking a little vacation with each episode!
-
TehavianIt’s the stories!I find the I could listen to Kimberly and Tom all day. Not only is it that they paint such a wonderful landscape of Italy‘s beauty, but also it’s the storytelling that has you right there with them. The details and the escapades from their travels leaves me laughing out loud. These two have great on-air chemistry. It’s clear that the Italy they know is not one straight from a travel guide. Rather, it’s the back streets, the scenic treasures, and the fresh food finds that draws me back to listen to more each week.
-
TVEVBVInformative and entertainingLove this podcast! I found Kimberly’s Italy while researching an upcoming trip to Italy. It’s a wealth of information and entertainment. So many great tips and stories on places to go and things to do on Italy. And pasta recipes too! Love the banter and chemistry between Kimberly and Tomasso.
-
PJLC iphoneLearn a lot and entertaining!I have listened to severalnpodcasts and hired kimberly to help plan a trip. Great advice and very nice person.
-
marni.rlove this podcast!!kimberly’s podcasts are phenomenal! my husband i were fortunate enough to be guided though lake como by kimberly, her knowledge and passion for italy are beyond impressive. her tour, accommodation and dining suggestions were superb and each day was brilliantly curated. I could not have experienced such a delightful and seamless trip without her guidance and planning. kimberly’s italy left me yearning for more time in italy, the podcasts with kimberly and tomasso are the closest thing you can get without actually flying to this stunning country! i strongly suggest that you experience both!
-
CapwalksThe best travel podcast EVAH!In addition to Kimberly and Tomaso being the best story tellers, we have gotten so many valuable tips for our next visit to Italy - which will be in like two weeks. I love each and every podcast as much for their wonderful stories of their travels throughout Italy as for the excellent content of the art and architecture that they describe.
-
Weight Watcher ConvertLove this podcast!I listen to a number of podcasts based on travel in Italy, and this is truly my favorite! I feel that Kimberly really knows the areas she presents in each episode & describes everything so thoroughly! The conversation between her & Tommaso is always fun, and the humor interjected is great! My husband & I have been to Italy a number of times, and these episodes have us dreaming of many more trips to Bella Italia!!!!
-
