Crafts #28

....and other life and business lessons learned from quilting. Makers have stories! And crafters have skills!

In these casual chats and interviews, I (often with a guest) talk honestly about  creativity. The joy, and hope, and even healing it can bring, and the businesses we can build doing the things we love.

    Simply joyful
Hi Susan. I have enjoyed listening to your podcast. I find that it helps me remember why I love quilting and crafts and textiles in general. It motivates me to learn about other’s forms of art expressions. Thank you. Will you continue to make podcasts beyond April of 2023?

    Excellent podcast
Bethanne Nemesh’s interview was the first one I heard. Quite enjoyed listening to her talk about her journey into the quilting world. Her work is amazing and her advice at the end…truly thought provoking!

    Great show
Thanks Susan. Guicy Guice is a lot of fun in person and you captured that with your questions and just letting him do him! His fabric is always lovely without being “sweet” and just reminiscent. I’m glad he’s quilting!

    Juices Flowing!
I recently learned that I have cancer and although I am assured that the Lord is with me through the upcoming treatments I am still not sleeping well. I just happened to find Susan the other day-first her podcasts and then on YouTube. She has awakened my quilting juices once again. So much so that it’s 4:15 am & I want to get out of bed and load a quilt onto my long arm! Thank you beyond words Susan.

    I love this podcast!
I took an online class from Susan, and that led me to her podcast. She has such a comfortable and comforting style, and the information shared is so helpful. I love listening while I am piecing. I am so grateful to have discovered both Stitched by Susan Academy and Measure Twice, Cut Once! Thank you to Susan and Dave!

    Easy listen and informative!
I thoroughly enjoy listening to Susan, not only to learn more about quilters in our community, but also because she has such a lovely voice! She is so easy to listen to and highlights the journey of fellow quilters sprinkled with little tips along the way. Loved hearing more from Victoria of Midlife Quilter today!

    Just a biased review
As her husband, I get to work on this podcast every episode. Watching Susan try something new and daring like a weekly podcast has been as impressive as her quilting is. If you ever wandered what you are capable of, follow this lady. She has completely re-invented herself and has made a worldwide community while doing it. I am a lucky guy.

    I know this lady!
Susan has done so much work over the last few years quilting, teaching and sharing her passion for quilting with others. I am so glad to be along for the ride and this podcast is just her way of being able to give the world a glimpse into her life and the lives of those who share her passion for all things crafty.
