Brown’s Hardware, an institution in Falls Church since the 1880s, is closing. The elderly owner is finally selling. My Dad used to work there until his death in 2011 at the age of 93, he really loved helping people with their projects.

I’ve given this podcast a four month trial run. I can see why Hugh Hewitt likes it: it’s for squishy Republicans who have too many beltway Senator Mitch-like friends. This is definitely not for fans of Mark Levin.

Mary Katherine and Vick are awesome. It’s like hanging out with friends just shooting the breeze while talking about life and current events. Their chemistry is perfect and refreshing, not forced like other duos. It’s great to just sit down and listen to political commentary with a comedic touch without constant commercials or product plugs. Mary Katherine and Vick have fast become my go to for political commentary. You both are great, keep up the good work!

I decided to give this podcast a shot after seeing Mary Katharine on Bill Maher and thinking she seemed like a sane conservative. After enduring a few questionable takes, though, the final straw for me was the discussion of the Potomac plane crash where they referenced conspiracy theories and politicizing by the left but made not a single mention of Trump’s insane press conference where he made everything about himself before blaming Obama and DEI. That kind of omission makes it nearly impossible to pretend this podcast is anything other than right wing propaganda. Hard pass.

My first episode featured Vic championing beef tallow fries and I thought I accidentally turned on an old episode of the Sub-Standard. That was the hook and a fellow Dawg bringing SEC caliber news analysis had me subscribing. Thanks for the podcast!

I cannot explain it but I love it, all the rationale they use, is what I struggle to articulate. Thank you!

The classified docs situation is totally different between President Trump and crooked Joe Biden. President Trump, in the end, had about 100 actually “classified” docs at Mar-a-Lago; however, Presidents are the “original” classifier (by definition as well as by law). As President, Mr. Trump can de-classify any document he wishes. So, no foul to have some such — let’s not go down the rabbit hole of proper storage at this point — at Mar-a-Lago. ON THE OTHER HAND, crooked Joe was either a Senator or the Vice President when he illegally removed and retained 1000s of classified docs—again, we will avoid the proper storage question for now—at his home, personal office, campus office, etc.. He had no authority to de-classify. So, Mr. Biden should be charged, convicted, and sentenced to fines and jail time for the wrongful act of stealing classified docs.

A great and fun show even when the alcohol is “tested”. Keep putting these out.

This is my favorite podcast because of the hosts’ chemistry and good vibes all around. It’s incredibly smart and educational and covers serious news with an insider perspective and penchant for the positive. I love that Vic’s from NJ (I can relate) and hearing about MC’s family. I even enjoy the theme music - sets the tone.

I listened with an open mind but the news is very skewed. Ex. They criticized Harris for not providing details about her plans in her debate with Trump. No critique that Trump only shares that he has “concepts of a plan.” No wonder there are so few listeners.

One of my every-day-listens, love the down the middle perspective.

MK Hamm often makes observations that bring new insight to politics. Calm, funny, clever, interesting.

Too many political shows are designed to make your blood boil. This one provides good insight while also not trying to manufacture outrage. You’re probably not going to like this podcast if you’re drinking the koolaid from the far-right or the far-left.

TYPICAL LIBERAL MARXIST AND AMERICA-HATING PROPAGANDA. IF I COULD I DEFINITELY WOULD GIVE YOU ZERO STARS BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE WORTH!

MK is my hero! She has such a calm way of explaining the facts without descending into hysteria like a lot of podcasters on the right are want to do.

I started listening to this podcast because the hosts are not rabid right-wingers. BUT they are still problematic in their reasoning (as such) and analysis. They are always oh so outraged by any misstep on the part of democrats. They are shocked, I tell you, SHOCKED! But they are seemingly quite unfazed that the standard-bearer of their party is a convicted rapist (Among other crimes). They are seemingly not bothered by the fact that their party has been hijacked by a petty criminal and been turned into a cult. But they devoted ample time to acting outraged that Jamaal Bowman pulled the alarm in congress. They were shocked, I tell you, SHOCKED. Convicted for rape=Pulling the alarm in Congress.

I’ve had a hard time trying to re-engage with any media since the switch to the totally renewed and new political figure of VP Kamala Harris. The hypocrisy of the Left is entertaining but also so scary. I know people who have never actually read Project 25 who are acting like the entire document was put into law. (Their ability to follow the media like sheep is astounding.) I digress . . MKH’s parody of White Women for Harris clip was golden. I have no technical ability but please figure out how to make that go viral!! (The best was the line about people of the same race joining groups and all wearing the same hats.(We’ve never seen that before in our history.) ) It was worth my nightmares about what is REALLY going to happen to our Republic if Democrats continue in the presidency. Former President Trump is no saint. He’s not my choice to get us out of this mess but he is the only choice that continues this great American experiment. He’s the only choice that keeps the Constitution secure. The Supreme Court is holding the line against total despotism — truly. Thank you for this podcast and for having common sense. Thank you for sorting through the crazy. Let’s hope and pray that common sense can prevail.

Every episode is entertaining and informative. The two hosts are great together. Always love listening to MKH and Vic is great too.

Great podcast, but the whole AOC attack on SCOUS was so revolutionary that our local Nexstar station in Rockford had to quote her that evening! But they have become nothing but a Leftist propaganda outlet promoting our Governor Jellybelly JB Pritzker every ridiculous law against the hard working people of Illinois

Cringey small talk in the beginning feels forced and formulaic. I’ve tried to like the podcast but it’s too annoying.

Since discovering the gems known as MK and Vic a few months back, this has become the podcast I look forward to most every week! I have even gone back to the beginning to feed my addiction in the off days. They are just THAT good.

I have been listening for the last 18 months and greatly enjoy the show. MK and Vic are indeed moderately right and moderately reliable, adding an appropriate amount of levity and semi-seriousness. Keep up the great work. But - on today’s show, you mentioned Taylor Dane and I now have her stuck in my head! Argh!

Scrolling these reviews and I saw a few complaints about the casual conversation that usually opens the show. What??? That is my favorite part!!! I feel like some officemates sat down for a morning coffee break just to chat about their lives. It is so calming. Vic is really funny, as is MK, but I think I love her parenting tips more than anything. We need a book! As to their analysis of the news, I very much enjoy how upbeat they work to make almost every story, with some spicy sarcasm and humor mixed in. But they also work hard to lay out the facts, as well as the conflicting views, something you don’t get most other places. My ONLY complaint is that twice a week is not nearly enough.

Love MK, but you really have to get rid of Vic. His constant sexual innuendos are so cringe and off-putting. He is not worthy of MK’s smart analysis of issues. Please find a new partner!

On the White House Correspondents’ Dinner thing, you guys mentioned the thing about Obama and the “most perfect presidency ever”. I am frequently reminded - and this is one of those times - when there was an op-ed in one of the major papers (can’t remember which one), lamenting that beginning in 2009, comedy would suffer for the next 4-8 years. The premise was that many comedians make their bones by telling jokes about politics and politicians. And Obama (who had barely been inaugurated) was going to be so flawless, so awesome and perfect as a president and in his policies, there would be nothing to laugh about…nothing to make fun of. No ineptitude, malfeasance or gaffes of any kind - thus denying the comedy world its very lifeblood. The poor comedians would have to struggle for other things to tell jokes about.

Hey! You two are a balanced team. Some days, one of you is more enthusiastic (gregarious) than the other. It depends on the topic. You are not like Chris Stirewalt on Ink Stained Wretches! He drives me mad! He always talks over Eliana Johnson and dominates the discussion. I don’t get that vibe from the Hammer team.

I really enjoy MK’s views on the news and current events no matter what platform she is on. I’m not a fan of the informal small talk at the beginning of the show, but hey, that’s what’s the forward button is for!

Love the back and forth between MK and Vic. It’s the best part of the show. Their “news” segments are interesting but due to their recording schedule it’s mostly old rehashed content. Vic does have a verbal crutch and constantly says “you know” - over and over again. Now you can’t stop hearing it. You know.

You two are the best. Seriously. THE.VERY. BEST. That is all.

Yes!! Plain blueberry pop tarts, toasted & buttered is perfect. The only way I eat them. But then again, as a fellow Southerner, we do tend to put butter on most things.

Why has the audio podcast been delayed in being available lately? I’ve looked forward to listening to a new episode on my way to work each Wednesday and Friday but lately, the episode doesn’t drop until late morning. Why the change??
