LETMELEAVEPLEASELocked out!I LOVE this podcast, but to echo the folks who also wrote stateside where we can’t watch the show, this new season just feels like a horrible tease. Believe me when I say that your listeners in the states REALLY need something good to listen to right now. We’re generally having a VERY BAD TIME this year if you haven’t noticed.
-
MemelTxAnother frustrated AmericanWe can’t listen to anything in the newest season because we’re can’t access the shows you are talking about!!!!!!! Just stop! You have a worldwide audience!!! Play to it please!
-
IndyKarenFrustrated in the USALove this podcast until this season. Who came up with the bright idea of pairing the podcast with a TV show, which only the folks in the UK can watch. Don’t they realize you cannot download the iplayer outside the UK. Hopefully, someone will come up with a way for the rest of us to enjoy the podcast. I’m still giving you 5 stars, even though someone wasn’t using their loaf!!
-
Tamar69UnfortunateUsed to really enjoy this podcast! Sadly, it has turned into something else 😢 This new Postmortem iteration is probs fun for folks in the UK who can access the “Video Podcast”. But why they decided to release just the Postmortem audio episodes in the States when we can’t access the actual episodes that the Postmortem is about is a mystery. Used to be Team Believer but now I’m Team Skeptic 😂
-
anna4213One of my faves but…This is an international podcast, but now…no one can watch the episodes outside of the UK? I pay for all sorts of British channels and BBC on Prime, but still can’t get this. I refuse to give a low star rating because I love the podcast so much, but really feel like I’m missing out! Is there a potential fix?
-
Phillip PadgettLove UncannyI wish the tv show was available in the US. I have listened to all Danny’s podcast. He does an amazing job presenting the stories. Just wish I could watch the tv show-or even just listen to them as a podcast and then enjoy this follow up podcast.
-
Jewels for OrionNo longer a true podcastSadly, unless you have access to programming on the BBC, this podcast is no longer worth listening to. When it was a true podcast (instead of a follow-up to the BBC tv show) I really enjoyed it. Now, regrettably, I have to delete this show from my library.
-
robajiUsed to enjoyI used to enjoy this podcast but honestly I’m not into watching anyone’s YouTube content in the slightest.
-
jlaganWhat Happened? This podcast used to be so good, but recently has really gone completely off the rails. Short two minute stories, and now some nonsense 'visual podcast' that makes no sense unless you can also watch BBC. Hopefully they can find the original series magic again.
-
PissedOffMelSad“Visual Podcast”?? How silly is that. If I wanted a TV show, I’d go to Netflix. I come here for the podcast…bring back the podcast.

SESirlesDelightful and SpookySpooky stories told with the loveliest accents. I listen to fall asleep and it’s just right.

darth aduro93New episode everyday in October? Oh wait....After the first few previews, or so I thought, of the new season, I have been waiting for the full episodes to show up. Then today I see the Christmas Special pops up at an hour long. Did I miss the new season? Yes, yes I did. What happened? Well, upon further investigation those episodes WERE previews unless you are a subscriber. I can not recommend this show anymore if this is the format moving forward. Three stars as the previous episodes are fun listens and can get some people's on Team Skeptic skin to crawl. Minus two stars for having to subscribe.

mysterymachThe Best. EXCEPT FOR THE ONE MINUTE EPISODESHonestly I don't even listen to these sorts of shows anymore because they are all so tepid. But somehow I wound up downloading an episode and, wow. I have a nighttime headphone job, and I honestly got spooked by these episodes. That is very, very hard to do. If you want top quality paranomal with an excellent host, look no more. Unexplained with Richard McClain Smith is also a top quality pod, but this one has interviews etc which makes it a little more engaging. Great host, great music.EDIT- the one minute episodes were awful. Mostly long ads.
-
suz deirdreHalloween special not withstanding …This is a fun little podcast! the first season was really strong … this last Halloween special not so much - I’m guessing the tv show ended up taking precedence ..I like that they tried something different with the mini stories but they were soooo brief and mostly ads - hope they have full episodes over Christmas!
-
oodlyooDisappointing Halloween countdownThe Halloween countdown sounded interesting, but it’s just barely a minute of story sandwiched by ads that last at least as twice as long as the tepid story being retold. Money grab much? Disappointing and surprising that a show under the BBC banner would pull such a cheap trick. Unfollowed.
-
CAMP06Great storiesDanny has a gift for bringing out the best in his subjects. I sit somewhere between skeptic and believer, though I lean skeptic. I enjoy the experts’ input and love the format. There are too many ads, but I just skip them. No big deal. Gotta pay the bills.
-
Cant use my own nameLaura BearI am so let down by the way people attempt to explain what Laura experienced. My husband had a similar experience and I am certain it happened because I do believe love is a powerful motivation when a loved one can receive them without fear or disbelief and try to explain it instead of just excepting it for what it is and let it bless you like hug from them

1sheek12 minLame!
-
GglymglyWill not playiTunes NEVER seems to be able to load the content for this show - plays right away on BBC Sounds but not here - otherwise the show is great
-
TrustedAppUserGreat stories but…I’m on the “get rid of the ‘experts’” train. Speaking to them breaks up the story in a very distracting and frankly very boring way. I tune out and end up turning the episode off. Also they never say anything remotely thought-provoking or helpful.
-
ImploreThis isn’t a showIt’s nothing but ads. This isn’t even a good Halloween countdown. The Halloween Podcast is doing a much better countdown with almost no recognition. It’s podcasts like this that really cheapen the art.
-
Melbo129The halloween countdownIs a couple of minute of insurance commercials and 30 Seconds of actual info. Ugh …
-
HagstozFrustrating PresentationThe stories being told are very interesting however, like many reviews before mine, I think the inclusion of “skeptics” and “believers” is a distraction from the topic of each episode. It is as if the podcaster thought that in order to have a valid podcast he had to include a two extra (extraneous) voices which would either completely invalidate the experience of the person telling their story or make some kind of unverifiable claim which would live completely within their belief system. Honestly it mad me so irritated once I realized that every single episode would be this way. No one is expecting this show to “prove” or “disprove” the existence of the supernatural. Nobody wants to hear two completely contradictory opinions that have no bearing on what is being said by the first hand accounts because they never actually have any interaction with these opinions or the opportunity to rebut them. It becomes more like a case study of the absurd than anything meaningful that the listeners are probably hoping to find their own experiences or curiosity about these phenomena within. Pick a side Danny and ditch the peanut gallery please! I’m getting the sense that many of these podcasts were designed as if Neil deGrasse Tyson were the audience. Guess what? Skeptics are not your target audience and the people who tune in are open to believing or want to know more. Go listen to Euphomet or OtherWorld for a more respectful and interesting approach to what essentially is a kind of ethnographic exploration of the paranormal. It’s much more honest and much less about trying to unmake the reality that someone is telling us they experienced.

JeminemLeaves you wanting more!!I need more Uncanny! When will there be another season??
-
EssDoubleYouNothing Compares!I’m not aware of a podcast that comes close to being as incredible as Uncanny! It’s gripping, fascinating, exciting and I can’t give Danny Robins enough praise!
-
KGirl,KUncanny is unmatchedI LOVE this podcast so much. When the new seasons come out, my soul reaches a new level of happy. The interview style, the way Danny listens in and interviews? Amazing. Danny is one of the best journalists in the paranormal field and as an American listener, Danny proves time and time again that Brits do paranormal best. Period.
-
Weepixel339Earlier seasons are betterA bit disappointed with season 4. What was so great about the earlier seasons and the other podcast called Haunted, is that you fleshed out the whole story and you dug deeper with questions. This new season is so rushed and we are left with a lot of more unanswered questions.
-
PiB BritLoveI’m a Brit living in the USA. My Mother had recorded the Uncanny TV Programme for me to watch. Since then I’ve been hooked on all the Uncanny/Danny Robins podcasts. All such interesting stories and love Danny’s enthusiasm for this subject.
-
La Unica LobalunaLove this podcastThe stories are spooky and the skeptics make me laugh trying to make sense of occurrences that have no explanation. That music that is played with that haunting melody and beautiful voice really compliments the atmosphere of dread. Thank you for giving me a podcast that I look forward to listening to and that stays with me.
-
Patrick FelingoBest scary podcast I've discovered thus far! This is high praise considering I've been a Spooked listener for several years now. It's always reigned supreme in my list of scary podcasts - Radio Rental, You Can See Me In The Dark, etc. But this has changed ever since discovering Uncanny. The production quality and story telling is very similar, but the analysts add a new layer of goodness to everything.
-
rosegrrlOH my god the ad timing! This is an entertaining show but the timing of the ad breaks - usually right in the middle of a word - they totally throw you out of the experience. Listen on the BBC app for an uninterrupted versionif you can.

⚡️Chaos Theory ⚡️Note to self never sleep under a moatAs someone who is super into the supernatural, idk if I’m a full believer but I’m not 100% skeptic so I consider myself an “open minded skeptic part time believer”.This is a really good podcast if you are fascinated by the supernatural, if your like me and over think things a lot it will make u very paranoid for a while (season 2 episode 2 freaked me out i slept with the light on for about a day), however once your able to get over that, it is a very good listen! Highly recommend! Also when are we gonna get The Hanging Room Part 2? ( suicide trigger warnings in that episode heads up). Very good listen and even if you don’t believe anything, you might still like hearing the stories! ( also Ghosts crossover LETS GOOOOOO! ThemThier4life!)
-
kathryn_eUncanny USAThe Flood was such a great story. I’m from the south and have passed through Tifton many times as well as visited New Orleans. I look forward to more episodes!

Biz RoyTifton, Georgia!!!I can’t believe that Danny came to my hometown for the first Uncanny U.S.A. episode. I started freaking out when I was listening on the way home. And for the skeptic who asked “why would someone logically try and shoot a ghost…” I say welcome to South Georgia lol. I’m not a gun advocate, but it struck me as funny that he would question the culture there. This podcast is consistently one of the best paranormal investigations I’ve come across. Always a delight, and I get sad at the end of every season knowing I’ll have to wait for more.
-
tuRrrrRRrRrRRRRdHe came to MaineI live in Maine and I wish I got to be a fly on the wall for that episode. Can’t wait to listen to this season .
-
podcast50AmazingIf you love ghost stories and things that go bump in the night this is 100% the podcast for you!
-
chaoticfish311fun and goofy butThe podcast host is allergic to asking open ended questions. Poor guests forced to answer Yes or No to everything because Danny’s enthusiasm feeds the story to them. You’d think someone would have pointed this out by now but nope.
-
Listening Since Before my iPodThe “skeptics” are the worst. Here’s a newsflash: None of the guys forwarding cutting edge science walk around claiming every person who tells a version of the same story over centuries, throughout the world, is some random selection of lying, confused, or living with a mental shortcoming. REAL scientists listen, then ask themselves how such a thing is possible. Absolutely, some people are one of the above, but when you NEVER admit you don’t know, you’re just plain lazy. The guy from “Most Haunted” is especially annoying. I hope he’s listed wherever he appears so I can never have to listen to his lame opinion again. The eyewitness are the only reason I didn’t leave 1 star. THEY are 5 stars, the other voices brought this rating down to 2.
-
flhflhfToo dismissiveFirst off Im a psychologist and very interested in the subject of the paranormal, with that being said, each show of Uncanny also has a skeptic that tries to debunk whatever happened to the person that had the paranormal experience. This “debunking” often just comes off as dismissive and almost like gaslighting, and often seems quite rude as they almost seem to be be saying that the person experiencing the paranormal is either crazy or stupid. There are better shows out there with out this dismissive tone, such as Otherworld. Just my two cents, enjoy your podcasts.
-
koh1920Fun but flawedHas a lot of potential and is really fun (and sometimes scary) but each story is cut and spread thin as vegemite across several episodes. The main problem is the shownotes digital/text part is SO badly organized. Try to figure out what you've already heard! Old episodes are posted twice. Some episodes start on bbc video (not available in my location) and resume on the podcast. We are pretty much giving up and will try again in a year or so. Maybe they'll learn basics of episode lists, teasers etc.
-
DB1789CheesyThese stories are mainly worth listening to. But the host, it’s hard to take the breathless presentation and overly hyped commentary. Just doesn’t need all his theatrics which are hard to take seriously. Let the stories stand on their own and this could be an excellent series.
-
SCBRocksFantastic ShowLast Halloween I started looking for a podcast with some real life ghost stories. What I found were some call in shows, shows that had guests telling outrageous stories and then trying to sell their book with more stories like it. I wanted better production value, a host that took a critical stance and better story telling, from people who weren’t trying to sell me something. I almost gave up until I found Uncanny (and Haunted). Uncanny has everything I was looking for and more! The stories are genuinely spooky, very entertaining and come from believable people with nothing to gain from telling them. Danny is a charming and engaging host and, as a hopeful skeptic myself, I love that he has skeptics on to comment and offer alternative theories. I can’t wait for new episodes!
-
Momiji523Fun nonsenseThey need better skeptics as commentators! Most of these stories, if not all in fact, have very likely explanations, all much more probable than having to resort to the supernatural. Occam’s razor, after all, but that’s not the purpose of the podcast. Lol. It’s meant to be spooky fun, so on that level it delivers. I could do without the breathless delivery of the host, but that’s part of the spirit of the thing. Pardon the pun.
-
Ani in CaliFascinating stories, has potentialFeatures some captivating stories, host is engaging. I find myself tuning out the segments with expert commentary. It breaks the momentum of a good story, and the commentary just doesn’t seem compelling to me. I’m personally not interested in whether the story can be true or debunked, I just like listening to it. So I fast-forward through the commentary and get back to the story. Just my own two cents.
-
Paige W FGripping and researchedReally enjoying the selection of witnesses and the research going into each story. The music and storytelling is very captivating as well. However, the skeptics propose theories that are honestly less believable than the paranormal theories. Some even make me laugh. I also could have used a trigger warning for Season 1 Ep. 7
-
All PawsGet Rid of the “Experts”This show has great witnesses and stories but the so-called “experts” especially the “skeptics” are absolutely not needed and do a true disservice.
-
Nessa.DeLaneExcellent showLove the mix of new eps, guest/group discussions, and recaps when new information becomes available about a location. I’ve already toured the haunted Witch Farm in Wales with Danny Robins. Hope BBC produces more of his shows.
