š¶šØš½āāļøSimply the best! The VRT is hands down one of my favorite podcasts. Iām late to podcasting so Iām playing catch up and bingeing episodes like itās netflix. I applaud their bravery to discuss controversial topics and host crucial conversations relating to hot topics affecting the industry. Canāt wait for more interviews on the virulent spread of VPA programs across the country. Keep it coming ladies. PS Iām working my way through your book recommendations on communication and leadership as I try to help our clinic evolve. Also pushing for a call center, but that will probably need to wait until we go paperless first š .

hadley and brodietoxicologylove this pod (this is my third submission and i feel like a nerd) butttt i donāt know if yall have done this in the past but i think having a veterinary toxicologist would be super awesome to hear from. i think toxicology is such an important topic in vet med and flies under the radar of importance. i have had a dog lost to pancreatitis and garlic/onion toxicity and it is really sad to watch family members not listen to advice. i had to do a school project and reading more about the lack of knowledge being one of the leading factors of this issue is really saddening. i think it would make a great episode and be really informative for the listeners who are just pet owners :)

Best clinic everLove your show!I have loved your show since your start ā5 boys and a businessā you guys are some of the smartest people I know in the veterinary field. I have always looked up to you guys as role models and I am happy to say that I have loved the opportunity you gave me to be an intern for you all! I have learned so much. I highly recommend this clinic for anyone needing an internship or externship. Great people who know there stuff. Dr. King was a great boss and was always willing to teach anyone. You will see a lot of cases that I never thought I would see in real like. I love seeing their business succeed. I hope you are all doing well, and wish you nothing but the best! -Molly Francis (Currently a stay at home mom, with no animals; YET.) Lol

GabeMartExtreme Help!!I found this podcast around the time that I made the decision to shift career paths and pursue veterinary medicine. This podcast has been extremely helpful in understanding what the world of veterinary medicine looks like. I tune in every new episode and I appreciate the honest and real conversations you all have. Coupled with the shadowing experience at a local clinic, working with cattle, and working with bison (the real world experience), your perspectives have helped me understand what I am getting myself into. In addition, you all provide great information that I have been able to see in practice shadowing at the clinic. From what vet school will be like to what being a vet will entail. From interesting cases to individualized experiences, this is a great listen and worth the time! Especially for someone considering vet medicine as a career path!

Omg.every.user.name.is.taken.Get it girlsI really enjoy this podcast! The insight from the staff's perspective as a customer/patient guardian adds a unique touch that makes every episode engaging. My favorite part is listener inquiries.

AlyssurrrFun and Informative! :)Hello! have been listening to you guys for a while on Spotify now - in the shower, on my way home from work and as of last week, as a breath of fresh air from first year of vet school! Iām certainly overwhelmed but Iām always happy to hear the daily ups and downs of others in the vet med field, and getting the notification that thereās another veterinary roundtable episode always brightens my day. This podcast has been a great way for me to learn things without my quadrillion PowerPoint notes, and I also get to have a good laugh every now and then. My question for you guys is: I have officially gone through the Fear Free Certification modules as a part of my school, and the professors and doctors are pretty adamant about using the techniques. Which is great! Donāt get me wrong, I love the concept of Fear Free but also, my experience in a low cost clinic makes Fear Fear seem really difficult. I would say 75ish% of the patients I have worked on would not be compliant with just Fear Free techniques, and the Fear Free modules recommend if that happens to reschedule with pre-visit pharmaceuticals⦠that our clients either canāt or simply donāt want to pay for. I was originally taught at my clinic to, for example, scruff cats, which I understand isnāt pleasant, but even on gaba seemed like the only way to treat some patients. Plus, weāre booked out. Like eternally. So do you guys have any recommendations for how to comply with Fear Free techniques in not-so-perfect patients? Thanks for doing what y'all do, itās always nice to hear from you guys!

HaleyJ20Love this podcastLove this podcast! I went to tech school with Courtney. Itās awesome seeing her do awesome things. :)

Runninggal73Great podcast, even if you arenāt in vet med!I stumbled across your podcast a little over a year ago and have been an avid listener ever since. I am not in vetmed; in fact, I work for a large financial institution as an Executive Director in the Risk org. However, I am exposed to animals as a volunteer at our local shelter, a cat foster āMomā and we have our own 20 year old kitty that I frequently say is the love of my life š. My husband would agree, she has been my companion since 2004! I really love the culture you created there which translates to any business environment, your focus on your patients and clients, and the approach you take during the podcast. You make seemingly complex topics easy to understand and I benefit from nearly everything you cover. Above all else you seem to have fun and really love what you do despite the emotional toll your jobs can take. I wonāt go on because this would be a novel and not a review but did want to post a review for you and also say that whatever Devon ends up doing I know you will make the right decision on the ātaskā and all your listeners will enjoy it. Thanks a bunch to the team for everything you do! PS: I frequently recommend business books and articles to my team, many of which are the same as you mention on the podcast. Tiffany

SallyMae31amazing podcast!Iāve been listening for about a year, and I just learned where the review option was on Apple Podcasts š¤¦š¼āāļø. But I absolutely love listening to you guys the episode length is like exactly the length of my commute to work, so itās perfect! Ive been out of school for a year and a half, just passed the VTNE two weeks ago, and Iāve gained so much knowledge from yāall! I appreciate what youāre doing & youāre doing it amazingly!

Jessie JonesssAmazing PodcastHey guys! I am a veterinary technician of 4 years and just took on the roll of manager at my local humane society! I commute 30/40 minutes every day and listen you your podcast every morning and afternoon! You have brought me much insight into cases I have seen or will see in my career and I am very thankful for a platform to continue my education. I have 2 associates degrees, a bachelors, and am completing my masters all in 4 years so I am a huge advocate for continuing education. This podcast is great for that!!!!

CatMom4LifeSending love from a Cat Mom in GeorgiaAlmost 3 years ago I took in a 5 week old kitten from the side of the road that had a broken leg. During her road to recovery we have dealt with Radial Nerve Paralysis, FHS (Feline Hyperesthesia Syndrome), and Arthritis. Her challenging daily care prompted me to search out ALL the veterinary podcast, which is how I found yours. The Veterinary Round Table is by far one of my faves, please never stop!
-
GeorgeannaGrayAmazing podcast, great inspiration!I have LOVED listening to yall! Summer_copeCAR IS IN PARKHelllooo beautiful ladies! I found y'all about a year ago and have listened to every episode since then! I absolutely love how fun y'all make the episodes for both each other and the listeners as well! Not to mention the incredible TikToks yaāll come up with. I find myself smiling at the road far too many times. I am strictly a driving listener as my school is an hour away but I have parked the car and writing this review SAFELY. I am 19 years old and currently coming up on my second year of college. I attend my local community college for the time being until I transfer to the city but I take most of my classes online and commute 2-3 days a week. I am a pre vet student and also work as an assistant at my local mixed animal practice! I live in a smaller town so our clinic isnāt the largest as we have 4 people on staff total. We have a Dr/owner of the practice, RVT/manager, receptionist, and I am the assistant/ person that does whatever needs to be done! We have been overwhelmingly busy and it has been pretty insane but I feel like it has been the best thing for myself learning wise. Iāve been working at the clinic for about a year and a half and the amount of skills Iāve learned has been insane. From collecting histories, to running outside to help float teeth in this heat, to prepping/assisting in surgery, I absolutely love it. Even the endless amounts of surgery packs that need to be wrapped and fecals that need to be set up and read. With summer approaching we have started seeing the inevitable burst of snake bites, ehrlichia, heart worms, parvo, and of course āfishhook stuck in mouthā cases skyrocket. Donāt ask me how my doctor does it but she does it so well. Yāall have done a pretty great job of answering my plethora of questions about how to prep for vet school but there is one thing I cannot wrap my brain around and itās CUSHINGS. I donāt know why but I need a Cushingās Disease step-by-step for dummies at this point haha. Help a girl out, so so so much love from Oklahoma and keep doing what your doing! By the way, I think if Devon has to do a milk mile everyone should join. Milk mile is CRUEL.

User35082491Love!So much love to you all! I am no longer in the pet industry after working in 2 shelters an emergency/spec clinic and a primary clinic mostly as a receptionist! I enjoy listening to all your discussions, recently my 10yr old pittie was diagnosed with Cushingās and itās a super frustrating experience so I like that youāve covered it a couple of times! I also love that you guys really promote the different ways you all care for your mental health, one of the reasons I am no longer in the industry ā¹ļø. Keep doin what youāre doing! I feel like your podcast is really giving the industry a bigger voice!

Sybil1217Late to the partyHello⦠I am not a big podcast person, but I listen to you guys every day since I found your show a couple of weeks ago. you guys have the coolest cases and I really love the pits and the peaks. Your show helps me to feel more normal⦠There are a lot of us out there. Iāve been a veterinary technician for about 15 years. I was about 30 when I started my second chapter in life and worked my way up from kennel attendant. I donāt know if you guys have covered this already, but what are your thoughts on Techs that have a lot of experience and take the VTNE as opposed to being able to go to college? I would have loved to been able to go to school but had to go to work instead. Now Iām studying to take it in the fall. You guys always have the coolest cases.
-
redhead_2000Awesome Podcast for Vet professionalsHello I am a veterinary technician in Florida. I thank you for creating this podcast. it has given me the place to relate to other people in the veterinary professional world, so I do not feel alone, and the things I go through on a daily basis. This podcast has motivated me to start the process of going through school to get my CVT and continue to be the best technician I can be!!!! Love you all at Allstar.

ZartmanBLFeeding my nerdy vetmed soulAs a former Vet Tech, this podcast allows me to re-live my glory days at the clinic, and at the same time gives me the veterinary medicine/biology knowledge that I crave! You all break down your cases in such a palatable way thatās easy to digest. I love hearing how you strategize your treatments, and always appreciate the follow ups from your patients. This has become one of my favorite podcasts, hands down! P.S. writing this review from your neighboring town, Pendleton :)
-
Vannawanna62499Love the podcast!I love listening to this podcast and Iām so glad yāall are coming out with episodes weekly! Iām going into vet school this fall without having worked in an animal clinic so I love listening to the cases and day-to-day things!

I have been able to share many of things that I have learned from listening with coworkers and it helps create that conversation in the workplace of continuing to learn new things all the time! Love you guys, keep on truckin
-
beeboopbooOKAY FINE ILL LEAVE A REVIEW!!!Hahaha I feel like Iāve listened to enough episodes now to leave a review. Yall are awesome. I have never reviewed a podcast yet so plz feel honored š„° technician here. At a small & large animal clinic, in very rural Missouri. Iām glad you guys are even carrying the CPMA, we have a lot of cost concerned people in my area so most of our parvo pts are too far gone to where supportive care doesnāt even touch them. Itās too expensive that our owner wonāt even buy it because of the likelihood of it not being purchased. :( Iām bout to switch clinics and go to VEG so Iām excited for the change of pace and experience, and being utilized more. But yall are awesome! I love listening to your cases. Weāve been getting a lot of unique cases too. I blame the stars. LOVE THE NEW SCRUBS!!! š©øš©ø

Trinity KeeseeQuestionHello, my name is Trinity! I am obsessed with your podcast. I love everything to do with veterinary medicine! The information yāall share on this podcast helps me learn so much. I am currently in undergrad getting a bachelor degree in wildlife sustainability and ecosystem studies with a concentration in pre-vet. I hope to one day become a Zoo veterinarian! I was curious how yāall studied in undergrad and veterinary school? I donāt do well with lectures so it is hard for me to retain the information. I also work full time as a veterinary surgical technician. I am looking for a good way to study so I can remember information for test. Thank you in advance and keep up the amazing work yāall are doing on this podcast! ā¤ļø
