dark green powersexcellentthis podcast is excellent & super informative.

Benjammin_vrSoft hitting unbalanced reportingChaos chaos, fear and more fear. That’s all The Lever has been for 2 weeks. No actual reporting regarding the fraud and waste that has been discovered. I was not a premium member to follow mainstream news. Do some balanced reporting. USAID dismantling should be a shinny star to all “progressives” that hate US colonialism and corporatism.

💕brenerInformativeI’ve really appreciated the journalism here. On the report about H1B visas I wondered if I would hear anything about US companies hiring independent contractors who work remotely. There is no limit to this type of employee and it does undercut US workers. These are the employees displacing American tech workers from my point of view.

Nina'sOpinionBest Journalism of this timeI have been asking for years ‘how did we get here?’ And then this podcast comes along with many answers:)) THANK YOU!! DropSite News is also wonderful journalism!! THANKS AGAIN for filling in the much needed space for true journalism!

JWTS05051991Today’s episode should have come out a few weeks ago.A little late to release an insightful episode on Project 2025, this would have been helpful in my conversations with undecided voters.

Lila in DenverLove the content, irritated with the last episode titleI love listening to your perspectives. Thank you for doing all the work you do. I will keep listening. The episode title “are we allowed to ask VP Harris what her policies are?” felt whiny and passive aggressive to me. Of course we are allowed to ask. I feel like you are better than that. Much better to ask when will she provide info or elaborate on her policies.

BriShowEpisode published on January 11, 2024 smoke detector! Beep Beep!!You folks owe your listeners an apology for record this episode while having that smoke detector chirp in the background. None of y’all had a 9V? Seriously, I’m walking all over my house trying to find out what smoke detector needs a new battery to make it stop beeping. It was only after I didn’t hear it for an hour after the podcast ended I even for a second thought well… maybe it was the podcast. That’s so unprofessional that I had to double check before writing this review. If you’re handing in an audio project for high school, it’s unacceptable to have an audio issue like that in your project. I think that rule goes double when you earn advertising revenue from your audio project. Other than that great show, four stars! I’m willing to bump it to five if the next episode you folks apologize and promise you’ll never do that again. Also, thanks for what you do!

OhangarSurhanThanks for another great piece of evidence documenting American decline. Now, what there is to do about it? Great job Ms Tkacik and Mr MacGee. Thanks to the host. Should we boycott Boeing?
-
PatrioticDissenterBravo! This is real journalism in an age where that is such a rarity. How can a society elect responsive politicians and hold government accountable without the knowledge and understanding that journalism with integrity provides? This is the real deal! I highly recommend it.

JayMilz123Sound and Fury episodeI'll admit as a long time listener of the show, I would wonder each week why the coverage of the war on Gaza was so sparse. This attempt to both sides the issue despite the context of the history of oppression or the current unprecedented scale of mass murder being perpetrated against the civilians of Gaza has certainly been enlightening. I am neither Jewish nor Muslim, but as a black American I am familiar with systems of oppression and how these conversations are often framed so that the oppressed are required to justify or defend actions they take against their oppressors. Over 7000 dead children, but we certainly should be more focused on the semantics of using the term genocide to describe their deaths than the actual deaths themselves.

SlaymosOne of the best on the leftReal informed reporting and opinion spanning labor, politics, climate, war, and financial crimes. Sirota brings well grounded and well informed left news and analysis. Friggin subscribe already.

ActiveEqualizationPretty goodThey’re mostly on the right track with guests, every once in a while they’ll bring on someone with a sketchy background because they’re “relevant” or “interesting” despite them being political enemies and right wing and I don’t appreciate platforming bad people for fun. Also the sound design could use some work. I’m not going to start paying $15 a month to hear relentless slack notifications in the background. Overall I support their message and they usually have good shows, they just need to tighten it up a little more with vetting and sound quality.

CHKATSTop-notch Investigative JournalismOne of the best investigative journalism outlets currently available. Their trenchant reporting of timely, under reported, and enormously important topics is an invaluable service to an informed citizenry. The podcasts and interviews provide in-depth and relevant coverage of important current issues. Keep up the great work !

Dude in ChicagoA Marvel of Modern InvestigationI wasn’t aware of David Sirota or The Lever until the train derailment in East Palastine, OH. Since then, I haven’t missed an episode and their work never fails to both entertain and inform me. This is the kind of journalism that I’ve been wanting to find and I’m sure that I’ll be a paid subscriber. I follow politics pretty closely, but always through an independent lens. That said, this is the most insightful news source that’s I’ve come across, regardless of where we are in the election cycle. Keep up the great work!

CBQ1846Become a donor!I’ve been wholly impressed with this podcast since it’s inception. I’m a supporter—no small feat as I subscribe to nothing else. The stories are important and overlooked elsewhere. And better yet the Lever is pushing these stories into the mainstream. Kudos!

funnyjewgirlKeep up the great work! This kind of journalism needs to take over the MSM! So sick of the lies and corruption. The Lever tells the truth and we need so much more of it. Keep it up David and thank you.

Don’t look upSad but trueDavid Sirota does a great job digging deep, uncovering news worthy to report. Doesn’t waste my time with any crap you’d find on the main stream media outlets or the branded left vs. right crap. He brings interviews that are well done. News that is needed in my opinion. I also appreciated the work done and continues to do. “don’t look up” was a movie I found too relevant. One of those sad but true stories needed. His podcast and articles are just like that.
-
MathiasQExcellent analysis and investigative journalismAn awesome array of guests participate in incisive interviews by David Sirota to help make sense of the moral and political issues of our time.
-
C ParrotheadInterviews and investigative reportingIncredible interviews and investigative reporting. Earnest look at politics that is so hard to find in mainstream media.

P_MiddyA Must ListenI listen to various political/ news podcasts, but Lever Time is the only one I listen to EVERY week. Sharp and informative with only the minimal chit-chat. I’ve been reading and listening to David Sirota for years, and he has only gotten better!

SkeebotFantastic alternative to mainstream mediaIf you are on “team human” and tired of hearing corporate news narratives that always seem to serve the corporations that own said news channel, The Lever is the place for you. David Sirota is a fantastic journalist who cares deeply about the subjects he reports on. If this were everyone’s news source, the world would be a much better place.
-
adam@itsadammurrayGood for some things terrible for othersThere is some reporting that Lever Time does very well, like corruption or climate. But when it comes to technology, they are very biased and one-sided. They dig so deep into discovering all the information about how the government or corporations are screwing us and the planet for personal gain; I can’t figure out why they don’t do the same with tech. That coverage seems to be very much from one side of the coin. So with Lever Time or any source of information, make sure if it really interests you or if you have a passion for learning more, it’s a great place to start, but you should always be willing to do some more research of your own from all types of different sources.
