Satchel__A Good Podcast, Dragged Down by Terrible Feed ManagementBetween its zoos, fieldwork, and international collaborations with other conservation networks, the WCS is able to produce short, informative podcast episodes that highlight conservation issues and work being done to combat them around the globe. In terms of wildlife podcasts made by actual scientists, it’s probably the best available. The only negative is how the feed is run: starting a little over a year since the podcast started, they started uploading rerun episodes under the title of “From the Vault”. This practice is not bad unto itself, but considering how few episodes there are (<15 per season, with 3 released so far), it only serves to clog their feed. Update 07/2024: The creators of the podcast seem to have seen this review, as they no longer name their rerun episodes “From the Vault”. Dropped a star, as it’s very frustrating to start what you think is a new episode only to realize that you’ve already heard it before.
