I do enjoy listening to this group as I recently found them. I’ve been binging a lot of episodes. Overall great group and some fun topics. The only thing I will say is that Mike has a very strong personality. Thinks he is better than everyone. You’re in a bubble dude. Also Matt is iconic and will always be my favorite across all podcasts he’s in.

I have loved every single episode this year, especially because you’re talking about the state of the world and it feels like no podcast wants to address what’s actually happening so thank you for being just a breath of fresh air this year in particular!!!! This podcast has gone completely downhill. Basically people trying to talk about politics who know NOTHING about either party. They don't like when people talk bad about them & their beliefs ..... but then to proceed to talk trash about other people. Bye!

Happened to scroll through some of the reviews and would just like to say that I love this podcast! I love that everyone on the pod is open about discussing their beliefs and the issues that are important to them. You all are so funny and also understand and play off each other’s personalities so well. Please never stop this podcast you all are the best :))))

I love this podcast! I usually listen to all my podcasts on 1.5X speed and this one I listen to it on normal speed because I love it so much! It feels like I’m hanging with my friends and subscribed to their other podcasts just so I could “hang out” with them more. Eye-roll to the people saying it’s too political- don’t think that at all. Love the topics they cover and love they have different opinions and insights!

I used to love listening to this podcast. Especially the am I the a hole series. However with the 24 election coming up, the hatred the is spewing out of your mouths is horrible. The party you guys affiliate yourselves with preach on acceptance and kindness but then you go and say absolute horrible things towards the right. The voting info you also give was very wrong. Do you’re also giving false information. Please keep politics out, it too touchy for most people and trigging for more.

I agree with the other reviewers. This podcast has become way too political and honestly just brings down the vibe when we are seeing politics literally everywhere couldn’t even finish the episode.

Matt and Carly are the best part of this podcast they stay somewhat neutral, or at least don’t attack others intelligence for having a different opinion than them. Mike and the other girl are so negative about everything and both give mean girl energy. Also too political and the most recent episode about the election pushed it over the edge for me. Can’t listen anymore. I’ll continue to enjoy Matt on other podcasts.

Mike spoke over and invalidated how Erin and Carly were feeling. That is what being a woman is. Thank you to you both for pushing back. You are not alone❤️ (thanks to Matt for letting them speak and listening)

This is my first time leaving a review on any podcast, but after the last couple episodes I felt like I needed to say something even if it doesn’t make a huge difference. I used to love listening to this podcast! I’m a 28 year old female so I relate to these four in a lot of ways and I’ve followed them since they started gaining any notoriety. I’ve always loved all the different subjects and personalities. The constant shaming and attacking of conservatives and trump voters lately has caused me to turn off multiple episodes. I’m pretty moderate when it comes to politics, but the way they act like every person who voted for trump is unintelligent and uninformed is so extreme, and seems so close minded and offensive. It’s seriously pushed me to lean more conservative for future elections. I won’t be listening any more and I know multiple friends who feel the same. There needs to be a baseline level of respect for both parties in America, especially on a non political podcast like this. This last episode about the election was way out of hand in so many ways and I think they need to figure out how to stop being so extreme and disrespectful if they want to continue growing their public platform. Just my opinion, but I know others feel the same.

They genuinely believe everyone who didn’t vote blue is stupid. This is the problem with America. This is why people voted for Trump. People got tired of being called stupid and uneducated for simply having opposing values and opinions. There are people on both sides who do have respect and decency. Having perspective and being able to empathize with both parties shows intelligence.

He is so insufferable and always complains about every little thing that he doesnt agree with which happens to be him being in the minority most of the time. Also, leave politics out. Its fine telling people to go vote because its very important but when you are pro one side and bash the other side that is when it gets annoying to listen to.

i used to love this podcast but constantly hearing about politics in the last few episodes especially when yall just bash the other sides is so hard to listen to. ill stick with watching zane & heath’s podcast…. even if yall have different voting views literally majority of the people listening dont want to hear about it.

The psl episode threw me over the edge he’s so stubborn yet wants to sound right. Replace Mike he’s not funny..

I’ve been a listener since the beginning and love to tune in! This weeks episode made me laugh out loud a few times and I really enjoyed the am I over reacting thread!! Great podcast

Used to be fun, but now it’s just four LA influencers, who live in a bubble, making fun of any people group who has a different opinion from them. The make fun of different religions and political parties, and offer 0 understanding and empathy for them. Extremely disappointing.

This podcast started off as a fun easy listen but very very quickly turned into a political podcast. The last 5-6 episodes I couldn’t even finish because the second they started talking politics I turned it off. Mike and Erin especially try to act like they’re better than everyone else and they’re not. Constantly mocking Christianity and making fun of and not being willing to acknowledge people who don’t agree with them. They won’t admit this but a good chunk of their fan base were republicans and/or Christian’s and after weeks of asking them to stop the hate and bullying they would just laugh it off and double down. Y’all are bullies to say the least. Matt has been the only saving grace. You can tell how uncomfortable he gets when they start getting mean. If you want to listen to something fun and non-political take a look at Matt’s other podcast, Unfiltered, it’s fun and never too heavy and it feels like your hanging out with friends.

My thoughts stay the same but this podcast is insufferable to listen to when they just speak poorly on every opinion they disagree with. Honestly the reason why there’s so much hate in the world because of people like you guys. Just wish yall would actually look inward at yourselves and do actual research on topics you talk about before completely slandering other peoples opinions. Its all about “free speech” and “freedom of rights”, or “all about love” until it goes against your closed minded beliefs. Do better.

I really used to love this podcast because I enjoy all of the people on it… typically. Lately the political talk has gotten a little out of hand. They (mainly Erin Mike) talk about conservatives in ways that almost feels like a slur. Just like there’s not one flavor of liberals, there’s not one flavor of conservatives. Saying that all Republicans are mad/outraged/whatever they said that JD Vance has an Indian wife is literally absurd. You’re consistently saying you wish conservatives would do some research and wake up but it’s a little ironic that you’re literally not doing that either. The hypocrisy is so real whenever they get on their political rants. As long as they’re yapping about literally anything other than politics this podcast is enjoyable. Once the close-minded, conservative slandering talk gets going I can’t skip fast enough. I respect people forming and having their own political opinions so maybe it’s time for Mike

Super disappointed in the ending of the latest episode. I really don’t want to hear about political issues on a podcast that I watch to escape all of that. It’s not fun and really brings down the vibe. I know multiple listeners can agree. Also when they were discussing the July 13th events and Erin says “Oh, I thought you were going to say someone (former president DJT) that people don’t love doesn’t” (pass away) (52:25) that is freaking tacky. Our country had a monumental secret service failure that never should have happened for crying out loud! AND we had an innocent civilian unalived AND two others injured. These people had loved ones! And Mike said that the victims wife that was unalived has “brain rot.” TERRIBLE! Seems like Mike makes snarky comments more and more and it’s getting old. Bring back the old Good Influences. That’s all.

You all can’t address criticism without snarky remarks or laughing it off like it’s nothing. Getting old. All of you need to mature in many areas

For the sole purpose of trying to get your ratings back, and the snarky smiley face, I have to join the band wagon of unsubscribing and not leaving a nice comment. I’m not sorry but Erin has made me stray far away from this podcast. If they decide to make-do with one member, it could be her, then I’ll be happy enough to give this podcast another go! Good Luck!

it gets to a point where u realize they're ur avg boring white people who tell the same stories of them reliving the past or their other cringey thrirty year old friends. erin gives ur reg deg performative activism type. carly is a typical uneducated midwestern. mike patronizes the girls bc they dont gaf about educational topics. tbh i like matt but u see the ignorant texas tendencies pop out sometimes

Lost a listener. I can’t believe yall came back from an unannounced break and addressed nothing. You can’t just ghost your job and expect people to still support and listen. That’s just taking your audience for granted. Y’all deserve breaks, but atleast let people know. Plus, y’all did Matt dirty with the Rick episode. And Carly was cringy and annoying the whole time. Wasn’t even a good episode, didn’t even prepare any topics. It was so awkward. Also, Matt is right about talking over each other. Yall are telling him to get off Reddit, meanwhile that’s where you get all your content ideas from. Matts the only one connected with the audience and understands how when there are 4 people on 1 podcast, you can’t all talk over each other so take the criticism and advice matt is trying to give instead of being nasty to him. Also, if your going to take a break don’t gaslight your viewers as if you told us about this break. It’s clear y’all took a break due to drama behind the scenes so just address it and move on.

It is INSUFFERABLE. And PLEASE stop talking about taylor swift, NO ONE CARES! You are 30, grow up and get out of that cult!!

Really frustrating when they take weeks off without letting us know and leaving viewers hanging wondering why they aren’t uploading or why they haven’t uploaded. Very very very disappointing.

I am a huge Matt King fan and follow Hoot and a Half plus Unfiltered and decided to follow along to Good Influences, as well. I’ve listened to almost all episodes but this last episode where they told Matt that Rick was on the podcast seemed so shady and disrespectful. I think it should have been done off camera and how can you do that to a friend? It’s just insanely strange to me and because of it I legit have to unfollow.. so cringe & uncomfortable.. poor Matt 😭😭

Y’all don’t know how to act with a guest. Carly and Erin act really weird. I felt really sorry for the poor guy! I bet he regretted accepting the invite. I think Matt would of made things much better. Very disappointing!

This episode just solidify my suspicion about Erin. The Midwestern White Feminism personality she had. Her tolerance to white mediocre pop “musicians” who were conjured by capitalism is nonexistent. HOWEVER when it comes to a true talented Black Woman like Beyoncé, she can’t stand or witness Black excellence & deems her “overrated.” She rather side with a cosplay born in Pennsylvania country Taylor Swift than a true southern Texas rooted country artist Beyoncé in expression of her musical culture. What a racist. Mind you these are all white people on this podcast to not check the racist behavior of his woman.

The women are tiktok propaganda fed and are on the “men are evil” bandwagon. As a guy this was my first and last listen. If I wanted to get bashed on for being a guy Id go to a BLM riot or a lgbtq drag show. Straight men, stay away from this terrible podcasts.
