So thankful for this podcast. The discussions are super insightful and they still give a sense of hope—raw, comfortable, and trust amongst hosts and their guests… you can really feel it! I appreciate that there are real outlooks and also great advice that don’t make the listener feel as if they should just give up, like there’s no hope. This pod travels with me to school drop off and when I get home, I’m motivated and feeling more inspired to think outside of the box and find those ideas that are standout. I appreciate the emphasis on ‘put in the work’ and ‘fine-tune that spec’… this pod makes me truly want to write at my highest level so thank you guys so much!! Cheers to this amazing team.

The funniest screenwriting podcast. Fantastic duo, great guests, infectious positive energy accompanied with needed doses of truth and reality. I laughed so hard listening to the hypnosis bit during Allard Cantor’s episode that my wife gave me a serious warning to keep it down. Awesome!

Such a great perspective on an industry and profession that is so esoteric. The guests are amazing and the conversation is valuable. I’m hoping at some point they’ll fix some of the kinks, like the guy takes up a lot of airtime talking about himself and gassing up the guests and the gal is sarcastic and speaks with an affect that sounds like she’s creating a character so when she speaks I’m unsure if she’s authentic or not. I’m hoping also that they share more info at the top so people like me who aren’t in LA are able to follow along. But all that aside, it has the bones of a good show.

As a standup comedian this is what I needed. People say “just keep writing” but they don’t break down the game for you. They don’t tell you about structure, what to read and watch to learn more, where to apply.. this podcast is the whole game broken down in a funny, engaging and easy to comprehend way

They know to start late and get out early. Killer information from top quality guests. One of the best of its kind.

I came to Apple Podcasts because I didn’t see how to leave a review of Spotify. I love this podcast. It has become my go to for screenwriting and industry advice. Saeed and Melanie do an awesome job of engaging their guests and asking the right questions. I’d like to see more craft focused episodes as those are always helpful. But I appreciate the gems and I tune in every time they drop an episode.

If you’re starting out or have been in the game for a while it’s worth your time. Listen, learn and stay humble. You will enjoy this show. I only took a star off for audio quality. It’s blown out, especially in the countless hilarious moments.
