    Worst takes on US race
I’m a daily listener to the main pod and so I feel inclined to listen to this one during the election cycle, but my God are the takes on US candidates poor. Literally saying things no other political pundits are, and for good reason. Why bother?

Please Don’t Invite Randy Zelin Back
I was astonished by guest Randy Zelin’s predictions for the Trump trial. His misstated the case and favorably compared Trump to participants of the Boston Tea Party, while providing none of the insight that a trial lawyer might have about jury deliberations. Usually, your show challenges guests when they’re over the top. But this time, you let a person who sounded like one of Rudy Giuliani’s drinking partners carry on. It wasn’t edifying, and it wasn’t you. Please don’t bring Mr. Zelin back!

    Turning into Democratic propaganda
Absolutely loved this podcast when it started. As European citizen and an American citizen, I appreciated Emily Mathis and her stellar well thought out observations. However, recently the show has become almost democratic propaganda and spends most of the time bashing Trump and Republicans. Will be unsubscribing if this continues. I’m a centrist and want to hear both sides of story and unbiased, balanced opinions.

    News AGENTS is appropriate
Same with their other show, there is a deeper agenda. I’m neither republican nor democrat.

    Very good perspective
Enjoying listening to an outsider perspective on the US as an American. Keep up the great work.

    Losing its purpose
I started listening to the Newsagents last summer as it launched. The journalists drew me in: Sopel and Maitlis were the backbone of a different time at the BBC. A better time. Clearly they were done and their fresh approach outside the org was welcome. A mixture of US and UK politics made it worth following. However, a year down the road it has become obsessed with Johnson and Trump. Both buffoons who neither call out. Ms Maitlis is like a giggly sixth form student who seldom takes their guest to task, and Sopel has resorted to dropping the F-bomb and thinks it is cool. His recent kissing up to Farage was unfortunate. Enough said. I will happily listen to Lewis Goodall’s solo broadcasts, they have granularity and make sense minus the egos, but enough of the old BBC celebrity journalists. Their pedigree was strong, this product less so. Better and broader content is available from the unlikely pairing of Campbell and Stuart.

    Scary but necessary
I’m an American who has been fascinated by British politics ever since the 2016 Brexit referendum was an early indicator of the global insanity that was beginning to unfold that year. Following the craziness across the pond helped to keep me sane during the dire Trump years, so I guess it’s kind of fitting that you lot will be here to help us try and make sense of things in the USA as we try to deal with the ongoing threat posed by Trumpist extremism.
