We're Here to Help

Jake Johnson (New Girl, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse) and Gareth Reynolds (The Dollop) don't feel qualified to give strangers good advice. Most of their friendship over the last 15 years has been based around dumb bits, but they do (for better or worse) want to try to help people out. Like your friendly local bartender or your tipsy uncle at a family gathering, Jake and Gareth are on the caller's side and trying to help.  Each episode, the guys make several pitches to callers (whose questions range from trivial to serious) with their best attempts of advice. They can't promise their suggestions will be perfect, but it will be the best they've got.  Jake and Gareth also occasionally bring on a friend, peer or even an expert to help along the way.Want to call in?     Incredible talent on this pod and the first year was some of the better podcasting of the entire year I would argue. Then they allowed white girls to take over the whole dynamic and it’s lame, over the top in a bad way and just not good. It don’t hit anymore. It used to hit hard.

    One of my favorite comedy podcasts. Love the banter with the hosts, guest hosts and the callers. One small suggestion would be to cut time of each call down. Some calls drag on and the amount of advice being thrown out it too long. Follow-ups are great!

    This is truly pure fun in podcast form. It is hilarious, it is sweet and meaningful, it is completely unpredictable in the best way. Never has anything else caused me to completely lose it and laugh uncontrollably in so many public situations - and it comes out of no where. I’m not talking about a good chuckle. You honestly can’t prepare for when the show will break you and you will bend at the waist, almost fall to your knees laughing so hard you instantly seem insane to everyone around you. It’s my favorite podcast of all time and just about the most enjoyable way to spend an hour. Please never stop 😆 And, yes, Gareth, the one sip is wild

I’m in a pretty difficult season of life right now where even my comfort tv shows aren’t necessarily doing the trick when I’m feeling down.
