Michael often talks about hearing from his wife Rachel that he doesn’t take compliments well, so I ask that he please bear with me for this review, as I am unable to leave an honest review for this show without being very complimentary of him. I met Michael several years ago at Dragon Con when Rebecca Johnson introduced us at a panel Michael was hosting. While we were waiting for the panel to commence, Michael launched into an impromptu session of Six Degrees of Superman. It was in this moment I knew that he and I were kindred spirits. Quite simply put, there are very few things in the world that I enjoy more than listening to Michael Bailey talk about the Man of Steel. Michael is so knowledgeable, so passionate, and he’s funny too. I really appreciate how when discussing various Superman comics, movies, or television Michael often adds in anecdotes about his personal experience at the time he first read or watched them. Whether a new episode or a rerun of an older one, this podcast is super.

Well, it’s new, not so different though. But that’s not a bad thing. The return of my favorite show is a great way to end 2023 and kickstart 2024 where hopefully there’s lots more to come. This show is so great to listen to if you are a Superman fan. The audio quality is great, the pacing is great, nothing annoying and the host, Michael Bailey, knows what he is talking about with Superman. He isn’t judgey or negative either and genuinely is a fan of all things Superman. Highly recommended
