Sally McKiltyLack of Human EmpathyI wanted to love this podcast but I’m super disappointed in the lack of empathy for some of the guests. We are all humans trying to navigate the growth and changes that take place in us each day. I listened to the Armie Episode and actually found myself feeling sick from the hosts ability to bring attention to topics that perpetrate negative conversations while asking the guest to be vulnerable in a space where the guest doesn’t safe. Let’s talk about consent here… we need to be better humans. For each other.

bergjoe23Louis is lostIn his attempt to be less exploitative of his guests and more caring Louis has lost the thing that made him so watchable. He made his living finding weird people and being near them. He as a normal slightly boring English boy contrasted against his odd guests. A foil to their wild world views. His current format of finding celebrities that are long used to interviews and asking them questions they’ve heard many times before is as you might think boring. It doesn’t work at all. Sorry.

Emma R TInteresting variety of guests, but a shame....the hosts interview manner varies so vastly dependent on the guest. I’ve never heard of Jennette McCurdy but was disappointed at how flippant the host was with her (‘oh you’re actually a good actor - I watched your shows this morning’) in comparison to the borderline sycophantic interview with Nick Cave.
