    Great Pod
Very level headed analysis with great guests on every so often. Since he’s given up his fandom his takes are very measured and sensible snd him being in the locker room allows him to provide deeper insight than most. 10/10!

    Amazing Show!
Jovan is a certified ball-knower. I appreciate all the work he puts in to make this show. Not only is he watching the games, he’s also researching any potential trades and does a great job explaining the new CBA. Every episode is a must-listen.

    CBA irony
.New CBA is a blessing in disguise as it limits teams ability to charge a Lakers tax! Go figure.

One of the top Lakers podcasts
Jovan Buha has great insights into the Lakers. He’s straight to the point. He goes into the details about players and the coach that other general nba sites don’t cover. One issue I have is the podcast itself isn’t working as of late. It doesn’t download.

    Excellent show
Jovan—I respect what you do and like the show a lot. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and views. You asked JJ about Olivari and didn’t get much. Maybe ask him or Rob “What does Olivari have to show you to make you consider giving him a roster spot?” Relatedly, what would you think about sending DLo and JHS, and a couple of #2 picks to Atlanta for Deandre Hunter and getting the Lakers #1 pick this year back? Hunter is under contract for 2 more years after this one at about $21M per years, so it’s a money play for the Haws, especially since Rissacher is doing pretty well. For the Lakers, they get a decent 2-way wing and their draft pick back in return for getting the Hawks off Hunter’s contract. Then, because you’re losing more players than you’re taking back, a roster spot for Olivari opens up. Thanks again. Lakers fan since 1960

    Doin the work
Jovan’s analysis is solid. I’d love more smart guests. Heading one guy talk is just not as interesting as hearing a back and forth with someone else who aligns or, better yet, differs. But the show is off to a great start. Thanks for all the hard work, JB.

    5 stars!
Great show to listen to during walks and workouts! When considering evolution of the game, do you consider that the lakers are by far, the greatest team in history? (Consider that the league used to have 6 teams when some teams won majority of their titles, whereas the lakers had to go through 20+ other teams for majority of their titles) Do you agree that the five greatest players could easily be any combination of one bulls legend (we all know who), and any 4 lakers legends? If we pick the obvious laker legends, i’d go so far as to say that there is no other 5 you can put together (excluding lakers and mj) to beat that one Who do you think will be the next legend in the making to fulfill their destiny and join the lakers? Im hoping its Giannis or Luka Keep up the good work!

    Love the show
Hey Yvonne, big fan of the show. What’s up with the Jordan 6s In your background, do they have a story or is that just your favorite Jordan sneaker

    Keeps it real
Big fan of Jovan and the work he has done. Fair and honest reporting. Question for you Jovan. I don’t know if you’d wanna get into this but I am amazed at the lack of criticism of Jeanie from the press (across the board, local and especially national). At the end of the day the lakers many embarrassing mismanaged situations are on her. She is a nepo baby who can seemingly only make nepo hires. It seems clear from leaks that the lakers are seen as being run pretty second rate. And yet many other owners have gotten racked across the coals. From Dolan to Fretida, to sarver, to lacob, etc. yet everyone talks about rob and says nothing of the person who is supposed to hold him accountable. What is going on here???

    Best Lakers Podcast
I’ve been listening for a few weeks now and this has become my favorite podcast to keep up with what’s going on with the Lakers. Jovan always has actual facts of what’s happening. Also no ads on these pods right now which is nice.

(By Far) Lakers best podcast (Compared Vs. LOL, LL, LN)
I don’t do a lot of these reviews but as Buha’s block is still in its infancy, I’d like to help the podcast out a little bit by giving it a review. I’m a fiend for the most interesting part of the Lakers, which is the stuff off the court. Buha not only writes for the only respectable outlet of real sports journalism in The Athletic, he does it in a very insightful manner. The “Buha!Buha!” followed the yo-yo-yo is a bit annoying but everything else is top notch. Buha has a great podcasting voice compared to his competitors and doesn’t commit the very common podcaster, Ramona-Shelburne - school-of - journalism sin of saying, “Right?” after every other statement. His intel is more heavily backed up by research instead of leaning solely on opinions (Remember when Shelburne lauded Kupchak giving Deng and Mozgov those salaries at the start of Free Agency because “the cap was going up”? Yeah, We need only those of Buha’s caliber and fire the rest). I assume Buha’s Block will gain traction and have 20% of the show dedicated to ads (like Locked on Lakers) but I’ll stay tuned-in because he’s clearly the only one worth listening to when you need a hate-listen about your favorite team, like I do. We all need some optimism before reality sets in late October. The others: Locked on Lakers- 3/5 - They are Every weekday but 20%+ is dedicated to ads and the reminder that it’s not “behind a pay wall”. Kam brothers spend so much time laughing at their own awful jokes and have always had questionable scouting takes: their love for “Vando” and their love for Kent Bazemore are some all-timers. Good articulation, don’t have the bad voices like Irwin and Trevor Lane, so that’s a bonus. Lakers Lounge- 4/5 - clear #2. Great insight but has a very unappealing voice and one of the most “faces for radio” faces in the business. If you want great insight but leaning in heavily (no pun intended) from the lens of a fan, then Irwin provides a good Lakers podcast. It should be the only other podcast you listen to if you need a stronger fix. Lakers Nation - 2/5 - It’s like a podcast done by a fan rather than a journalist. As a Lakers fan, we all know how dumb a lot of our brethren are. Lane doesn’t seem like the brightest bulb but he has a lot of passion. Kudos for making a living off of it but he’s mediocre in all categories. I hope these little notes may have saved some of your time when deciding on which pod to choose when you search “Lakers”.

    Offseason Question
Draft day trade or trade before July 1 while salaries are same as 23 season. LA: DJM, DFS - NETS: DLo, Vincent, 17 - HAWKS: JHS, Schroeder, LA 29’, 2nds from Nets. This would serve as the base of a 3 way trade give or take draft capital and a few min contract players — not sure if possible, but would then try to dump Wood and/or another minimum guy (Reddish) in Utah, lift restrictions on the 27’ pick and send some additional seconds to them and try to get Kessler to round out the rotation.

Go to pod on the lakers
Jovan always been one of the best best writers period. The forum club was awesome and this iteration is no different. Keeps it fair with both praise and criticism. Look no further for your lakers podcast content.

    Great first show
I really enjoyed this episode. It was really interesting to know a little bit more about Austin Reeves and his background his lifelong friendship with Trent and their golf game. Really fun solid interview.
