    Appreciative - be relentless!
Value your insights, experience, diligence and passion. When trade between countries is mutually beneficial and respectful, they are less likely to nuke each other. Antagonistic approaches to trade increase the global nuclear risk profile. This concern should be the one issue that binds both the left and the right. No one should be sleeping easy tonight. Please carry on!

    Interesting
Nice banter between wealthy people - Ms Kay talks too much though, interrupts, and overtalks way too much - maybe organize episodes so it’s more even.

You Misstated NY Times v. Sullivan
As E. Jean Carroll’s successful defamation case against Donald Trump reflects, it is possible for a public figure to recover damages for defamation. It’s just a higher standard: a public figure must show that the statement was made with “actual malice,” which means “with knowledge that it was false or with reckless disregard for the truth." In addition, one appearance on a soapbox does not a public figure make. A public figure typically is an elected official or a person who has thrust herself into the public discourse. The point of NY Times v. Sullivan is that free speech should not by chilled by fear of retribution.

Awesome to get to know them!
Anthony and Katy are a one-of-a-kind tag team! Can’t get enough! Anthony, I love getting to know you. Thank you so much!

    Great Podcast
Anthony, which one of the following podcasters/journalists will be the first to be hauled off to some detention center or camp and never heard from again for something they said or wrote? Rachael Maddow James Carville Keith Olbermann Tim Miller Steve Schmidt Rick Wilson Nicole Wallace George Conway Chris Hayes Jeff Goldberg That’s my question Don’t be naïve like Katie…….my money is on Wilson, with Olbermann a close second, Schmidt shows

Anthony knows more than he says
Anthony knows more dirt about Trump than almost anyone. But NOTICE THAT ANTHONY NEVER SHARES ANYTHING PROFOUND ABOUT TRUMP. Folks, every real Wall Streeter from the 1990s has stories about what a pathetic dirtball Trump is. Anthony probably knows WHY RUSSIA OWNS TRUMP. BUT ANTHONY NEVER SPILLS THE TEA. Wall Street coward. Put out or get out Anthony.

    Pretty Good Listening
Interesting take on contemporary affairs. Both hosts are well informed and have educated opinions. There is a pretty explicit bias against Donald Trump which clouds the objectivity of their reporting. Easy listening overall.
  • RobMajor
Love the Mooch but he misses the point sometimes.
Was on the fence when this pod first started but I love it now. These people have great chemistry. The news is usually the stuff that other pods cover but their insight is interesting. Go Katty and Anthoy! Back on the fence. It’s 3/6/25 and they are talking about Trumps speech and they mention him talking about transgender mice. Two seconds of research would have shown the Trump is an idiot. Something is the matter. They don’t have all the info they need. Approach this pod with caution. Temper your expectations.

    Meh
A bit disappointing. Came from Rest Is History looking for serious and contextualized discussions of US politics. I don’t doubt the hosts’ sincerity or intelligence, but they haven’t figured out how to inform the viewer yet. “Trump Bad” - yes, we know. And because of that obvious fact, can we please get genuinely interesting conversation about what precisely is going on?
  • JLRMI
Good - though the banter gets a little old
Enjoy the behind the scenes and timely themes. Katy and Anthony bring different and complementary experiences and perspectives, which is great. The banter and Anthony’s egotistic and self-centered self-deprecation get a little old and distracting, the conversation often goes off into distracting tangents, and the love-hate fascination with Trump is a bit creepy at times.

    Trump stooge
I love “The Rest is History,” but did not even start on this loser. Anthony Scaramocci? Really? Trump stooge (who can’t even pronounce “arriviiste”? I have no reason to waste my time on a podcast thaqt is already living in the land of Donald’s delusions. If you want us to trust Goldhanger, please hire real analysts, not delusional factotums.

    The Rest Is Politics: US
Informative and energetic pod on the state of US politics. Katy and Anthony have a tendency to talk over each other which is annoying. I’ll keep listening.

    Tiptoe around truth
I appreciate your thorough understanding of foreign policy and history. But I do NOT understand how journalists tiptoe past the ACTUAL HOLD and threats that Trump/Musk have laid on republicans in Congress. I understand there are credible threats to life, family, career. Is he threatening assasination? Ruined careers? Be specific. Threats remaining secret are the toxic weapon of BULLIES. PLEASE SPEAK OUT!!!!!
  • Boatsongs
    Pathetic
Is so blatantly liberal. Anthony has bad TDS. Says ridiculous lies about Trump. Retire and find a real job. Your view sickens me and most intelligent people. Every time I hear this sad show, I try to unfollow but it keeps popping up. Anthony is so butt hurt it’s unlistenable.

    Scaramucci needs to talk less
And stop interrupting her. Jesus. Ramble much?

I love both of them and their sibling-like teasing
This is an excellent combination of friendly banter, insight, (especially with the historical pedagogy Anthony tries to infuse) and inside the beltway, gossip

    Some Advice
I would like Katy to stop with the condensation of Anthony. It’s not cute nor is it funny. It definitely isn’t a good look.

    Great mix of discussion
At a certain point, I got tired of the usual podcast fare. The two discussants present themselves well, clearly are well-educated, and are super smart. Enjoy the humor and the relationship between the podcasters.

Maybe we don’t call those alleged “other riots” insurrections because they weren’t trying to overthrow the government?

    Entertaining and Informative!
Love this podcast. Love him, hate him, agree with him, disagree with him - either way, Mooch is never boring (I love him) and always a good listen with Katty Kay. Mooch can always be counted on to point out the incongruities between what Don Pardon will have you believe and actual reality.

Go To Pod for US Politics
Balanced, thoughtful, and entertaining. Katy Kay and the Mooch flow really well together and offer insightful, yet accessible talking points for the day. I recommend this pod to those who wish to steer clear of the vile partisan hackery rampant in some of these other US political pods.

    Used to be Good
It was a podcast I listened to weekly but Since the US Election Results I cannot listen to it anymore, Katty Kay is out of touch & the Mooch was completely wrong on so many things looking back now.
  • Darrin from Texas
This podcast is a waste of server space!!!
There was never an insurrection, you know how I know that for a fact because none of the people arrested on January 6th were charged with insurrection and I’m so tired of hearing people call it that!! Now I’m not condoning any of their behavior by any means but how come we don’t hear anything about the other 200+ riots that happened leading up to it that injured hundreds and caused billions of dollars worth a damage!!! Why don’t you do a podcast about those?
  • Joe's View
Good podcast, but too many fees
I enjoy this show when I can access non subscriber episodes. $7 a month is a lot to pay for a podcast that has access to ad support for non subscribers. It’s frustrating to see very little new content posted that is accessible without payment.

    Move on
Will you have any relevant content this year or should I just delete the follow now ?

He’s not who he’s pretending to be
Tony Scaramucci is a dirty, deceitful snake in the grass, and it’s fitting that the only people who were willing to give him a platform are headquartered on the other side of an ocean. Katy is mostly up to speed on us politics, if not terribly well informed or insightful.
  • Riker37
    Scaramucci is an idiot
I don’t know how long I can listen to Antony…he is really stupid and says wrong things all the time. Even the lovely Katty Kay cannot compensate for the dumb things he says.
  • avilanovad
Fun to listen, but hard to agree with their opinions
Katie is just excellent and so charming and Anthony PLEASE!!! talk about something different than your past love with Trump!

    NO
Wait a minute, it’s bad enough that you’re running promos insinuating January 6 was something it wasn’t, but you’re also insulting listeners by making them pay to hear this nonsense? This feels like MSNBC/CNN misinformation. Let’s be clear, January 6 was not a good day. But, it was not an insurrection. And it was not a coup. Jan 6th was a riot. It was a ridiculous day no one should be proud of but let’s not pretend it was 9/11..

    Lots of Heat, no Light
These two dimwits are funny to listen to. They both make sweeping generalizations and never follow anything up with facts. Mooch is still made at being publicly humiliated in the Trump administration. Everyone in America knows he’s a dope so he’s taken his show to England where he has yet to be found out. You Brits will figure it out soon enough. And the other one hates trump with passion just like most European liberals because he’s identified that they depend on the USA to fight their wars without paying anything. They are both funny.
  • j3matt21
    Pretty bad
Very propagandist and in many cases complete disinformation.
  • Ubii2001
    Hot garbage
Hot garbage narrated by an eminently unreliable and mendacious Anthony Scaramucci. Propaganda, but not even decent propaganda. No matter what your views are , you can do better.

    Weight control c’mon Mooch
Good show but sign off to latest show was cringeworthy. Mooch might as well be auditioning for another 10 days in trump 2nd term as he compliments “Katty Kay” on her weight control during the Holidays. You can do better than that Mooch. Good show otherwise!

    Absolutely fabulous
Love the perspectives!! A must listen. The chemistry between the hosts is wonderful.

    No Hannity and Colmes
I have been listening to this for quite some time and added to my rotation, but I struggle with it. Anthony is basically a setup man for Katty Kay and I haven’t heard him really challenge her or any Democratic positions. Katty Kay seems to funnel her views through the narrow lens of feminism. Kamala was not a bad candidate; men just won’t elect a woman to the Presidency. It also feels like this is a complete Trump bashing show with Anthony being the inside baseball guy telling us what’s going on in his inner circle. I don’t buy his stories. I’ll continue to listen for now, but if I need to make room for another show this will be one of my candidates to replace.

    Trump Derangement Syndrome
While I agree with your sentiments on Donald Trump, I think you both miss the boat in ignoring the political malpractice of the Democratic Party in general and VP Harris in particular. As a lifelong Republican, I was primed to vote Democratic for the second time in four years. Virtually any conventional liberal would have been able to defeat Trump in 24 but the Biden/Harris team, with the support of progressive attorneys general managed to make a shrewd but greviously flawed candidate into a winner. I personally threw away my vote by writing in Nikki Haley rather than supporting either Trump or Harris. I hope 2028 offers a better alternative.

    Stick to Politics
I have enjoyed this podcast A LOT for the past few months. But the healthcare episode was embarrassing. First, the title “how to fix a broken healthcare system”. Not only was there virtually no discussion of solutions (except Katy saying “some mix of public and private”) but it’s clear that neither of you know much about the topic. Anthony’s “fast forward” to Obamacare implied that was the cause of insurance companies denying claims?? Still unclear why he brought up Reagan’s ER policy, but that was it. There was zero conjecture on any of the political aspects of this horrible news - what might it mean for Trump’s healthcare policies, will he politicized this horrible killing, etc. Please stick to politics, where the two of you are very credible and compelling. Or at least please have a chat with whoever writes the titles of your episodes!
  • G.D.B.M
Best podcast - I am not even into politics
The chemistry these two have is absolutely unbelievable! If I was Anthony’s wife I’d be jealous - LOL ;) So entertaining amusing and informative. I am a Founding member and the Friday episodes can’t come fast enough. Thank you Katty and Anthony for teaming up and providing the incredible experience of listening to you!

    Skip this one
Surprisingly uninformed. Seem to put very little effort into proper research. Appear to be uninterested in providing a balanced understanding of US politics and/or history. This will not appeal to a politically moderate audience.
  • Going
Probably the most realistic podcast out there.
I hate to admit it after the election but their analysis came closest to the truth. They are so charismatic together and very, very smart. Brilliant podcast, full of charm, humour and sock it to you reality from people who actually know stuff.
  • M. South
    Enjoyable podcast.
Great topics. Engaging discussions and viewpoints. Thank you!
  • shannon.scott
    Supreme Court
Katty doesn’t “believe” that the Supreme Court would allow Trump to override the Constitution and run for a third term? Did she miss the SC ruling allowing him to commit murder if he deemed it an”official act?” Sorry, but this naive statement erases all the credibility of the rest of the show.

    Chemistry
I just wanted to say not only do I feel that I’m well informed after watching your podcast but it puts me in a good mood because Katty & Anthony have this incredible chemistry , love the back and forth banter! 5 stars , a 10
  • GranNic
    Really like this show
I am a moderate and tend to vote the Democratic ticket. Love Anthony because he speaks to the "how" this happened again. Tired of the one sided podcasts that permeate the Podcast app. I don't need to have my views confirmed over and over. I appreciate the back and forth of this show. Curious about all views! Also bummed about the election.
  • WchBlok
    It’s okay I guess
I’m a centrist squish and political orphan who enjoys listening to intellectually honest discussions and analysis by people on both sides of the political aisle. Some of this is good and interesting, but way too often it devolves into what sounds more like standard partisan hackery than actual objective analysis.
  • Long time Booknotes Lover
    Great discussion
Anthony: you said you’re not sure “who that person is”…. Take a close look at Tim Ryan of Ohio. He’s what the dems need!!! Thank you for the great show:)
