I left a review a few months ago about how Sloan Glass pronounces the letter t as d - apparently she doesn’t read these reviews. I left the podcast and decided to try again today. She is saying rodden instead of rotten. Get it right please - so annoying. Goodbye again. Please pronounce your t’s!!🤯

Love this podcast. The host is fabulous… keeps me interested til the very end.

Not a fan of Sloan Glass

While usually a fan of all true crime shows, the production of this one is hard to listen to…overly dramatic music and the host also plays into dramatic readings (which isn’t her normal way of talking if you listen to some of the interview episodes). They always split up the stories which feels completely unnecessary most of the time.

They drop the first episode for free and the second part is for subscribers only… it’s not worth the money.

I really enjoy your work and the podcast. I know I could subscribe, but…please consider stopping posting these stories in multiple parts. It’s frustrating that one story can 2-3 weeks to reach completion. It isn’t a story that requires a whole “season”, only a couple episodes. Maybe release at the same time or just one longer episode. I know it may be a good tactic for a show’s success/production/etc. but not the listeners. It’s frustrating!

Ads are 20% of an episode, split into 3+ interruptions. How is this appealing?

I listen to a lot of true crime and found myself hearing so many fascinating stories I have never heard before.

The ads are enough to not listen to the show. The host has a tendency to lay it on a little thick when it comes to describing events - it feels a little "ick" in terms of sensitivity towards victims / loved ones.

So far I like the show but the amount of ads is really starting to annoy me! And why is there 2 short episodes of one crime? Just put it all together??? Just my opinion

Stories you’ve heard already, told by a worse narrator.

So ok, I have to wait for part 2 to find out who killed Carol, but despite being a subscriber and the episode dropping into my feed, I cannot get this episode to play. I guess I’ll be saving $10/month if iheart can’t work out the kinks.

I like the experienced cop telling the story! However the host interjecting at end of sentences, gets old. She, the host, has a great voice, but let the cop tell the story. It’s too distracting.

The stories are very interesting and the interviews are good. However, the show goes too far with morbid details and that’s enough to veer me from the show.

Keeps me listening! But should probably be titled ‘New Mexican Homicide’ instead

With so many podcasts now it’s a crapshoot with some of them but Sloane has nailed it. It’s read and written well and she doesn’t ramble or give her own opinions. I can’t wait to hear more.

This could have been an interesting show if it wasn’t for the fact that at least HALF of the show is the loudest, most jarring ads you’ve ever heard. Every five minutes, it seems, the show is interrupted by five minutes of ads. Really feels like the producers did the minimal job and are trying to wrap a thin story in as many ads as they can pack in. Really disappointing.

Good podcast good information

Good stories that move quickly, well produced, and I love the host

I used to watch Sloane on Newsnation and always enjoyed her work. I listen to a lot of true crime and was feeling burnt out from my other shows. WOW I am glad I found American Homicide. The interviews are great. The episodes fly by. I’ve never heard these stories before.

I’m not usually one for true crime, but the host has me hooked!

I love the host on this show. I love the way she tells the stories. It’s nice to wrap up a story in one or two listens. This is my new favorite podcast.

I heard about this podcast and was instantly hooked! Informative and great story telling.

Never been hooked to a podcast so quickly. Listened to the first two and then immediately signed up for True Crime+ so I could listen to the 3rd. This podcast is so well made, and isn’t just another true crime show, but exhibits real reverence and respect for the victims. Hats off to the producers and editors who made this one.
