Litespeed riderOut of State BuckeyeTeam, I love your podcast thoroughly. As someone who lives in Colorado it definitely keeps me in touch with the Buckeyes(I grew up in Columbus before the Air Force. Only recommendation which nothing can be done about is when you talk over each other I end up hearing nothing but static. But that’s minor. Keep up the great work!

Matt 5237The best in wild speculationHow do you not know the simple facts of the game you are talking about? I am shocked anyone pays you for this gibberish. Holy cow, I don’t care about your travel troubles or complaining that Chip’s work has value. Your podcast is old man jabber. I keep thinking you will provide insight. Wrong again.

Dr. Bobby G!Jim Knowles interviewThe conversation was interesting and compelling at points (Knowles’ reflection on Coaches Day and Kelly was especially insightful) but was marred with too much background noise. I love your presentations and understand that at times recording conditions are not studio quality. But today’s show was awful; I could barely hear it. Looking forward to better days! Thank you for your reporting. The substance of your information and observations are excellent. Sincerely, The Rev. Dr. Robert Garwig Class of ‘77 ASC OSUMB ‘73-‘77

Tommy C AkrowdyNeed more consistencyBill and Joey certainly provide interesting commentary and useful information. My only criticism is the lack of consistency in the release of the episodes; some weeks they release three, some weeks only one. The post game analysis episode show should be Sunday or Monday at the latest, however, some weeks they don’t release it until Wednesday but by then you’re already onto the next game.

ueldewThanks! You guys do a great job. Have come to really enjoy this podcast, even Rob, ha. Joey is always on top of the stats, Bill has that voice of candor/experience, and Rob seems to always have that zinger and occasionally says the thing we’re all thinking, which I’ve come to appreciate. Really great job and thank you. If you’re a Buckeye fan, this is a nice weekly listen!

glimadollThe host has a voice that is very monotone….….and hard to listen to. How about adding some voice inflection?? The content is good, but the host needs voice/speech lessons.

LittleOldMan14It’s OkNot the best OSU Pod and not the worst!

Sara K., LA, CAHonestly, Simply Awful. Know Nothingness at Its Best.I challenge any would be listener to find a less insightful, less expert, less informed source of analysis concerning the Ohio State football program. Mine is not a comment on the production values or audio quality of this podcast - my deep disregard for this podcast relates entirely to its content. There are numerous other options infinitely more worth the time of an Ohio State fan. If I may, here is a simple example from a recent podcast: One of the hosts strains all credibility by declaring that - per his “eye test” - Kyle McCord has the “weakest” arm of the potential QB competitors. This is not a matter of subjective opinion - arm strength is a verifiable, quantitative measure…and there is no debate whatsoever that McCord has the most arm talent of any of the QBs. In and of itself, is this the kiss of death for a podcast? No…but, it is a but a single (of numerous) examples indicating that you can’t trust even the quantitative analysis of these buffoons. If one can’t bother to watch video, read scouting reports, verify measurables from various combines, research extant analysis from actual experts, well, then why should anyone trust your subjective analysis? These clowns know precious little about college football. It’s embarrassing. I’m ashamed to have wasted my time listening to this awful podcast. I am saddened by the ever shrinking investments being made in local journalism, but, in the case of these fools, a bit more contraction would be addition by subtraction.

Toma BaracBooorrringNow I know again why I rarely listen. Boring people. Virtually no insights. Worst Buckeye podcast out there. Unsubscribing. Adam Jardy by himself does better than you 3 duds.
-
ToddXEdgeTop notch as always! One of my favorite Ohio State podcasts. Really enjoy it.
-
Seitz BuckeyeDump Rob OI like this podcast with the exception of when Rob O. talks. He doesn’t add anything to this podcast and is just annoying to the listener. Thanks, Andy
-
DahobertyOller is killing this podcastLove the info on the Buckeyes but it’s hard to listen to. Between bad audio (although it’s improved lately) and Oller’s nonstop tangents and inane rambling, I’ve found myself just skipping it often.
-
buckeye dogGreat TrioGood analysis & insight of Ohio State Football
-
Iowa BuckeyeBuckeyextra PodcaatRob Oller is still a buffoon. I keep giving this podcast a chance, but I have come to the conclusion that I can only listen to it when he is not on the podcast.
-
cincistyleGimme more!Great podcast, hardly can ever wait for the next episode!

CalebHouser9Leaving.This podcast is just plain hard to listen to. The sound quality is poor and while it’s understandable Covid-19 has taken a lot of the headlines across the country, that’s literally all this pod talks about. I’m sorry but Ohio State has too much going on to be this boring. On another note, read the other reviews... they have a glaring theme. Rob gets slammed left and right and I couldn’t agree more. He’s rude, interrupts constantly, he’s arrogant and I wonder if he actually knows what he’s talking about. I’ve caught myself several times saying wow Rob doesn’t have a clue here. Joey and Bill try their best but again this pod is really hard to listen too. I listened to my last episode today and it’s once again due to how boring it is for one and how irritating Rob is. Unsubscribed.

I'm reviewing the situationCome for the football, leave for the politicsThanks for telling us how cool it will be if your kids abandon the values you’ve worked so hard to instill in them.
-
flipflop1966Getting worseSound quality is bottom rung. Rob is a non stop tangent machine. And how many more Covid episodes do we need to be preached to and them saying over and over “we don’t know”. Then stop spouting nonsense and talk football.
-
MjgobucksRuinedRob Oller has ruined this podcast. Please, for the sake of us all, get rid of him. If you don’t, I most likely will unsubscribe.
-
KhrsrbI really enjoy this podcast, even though Rob acts like a d-bag sometimesThis podcast is definitely one of the better Buckeye podcasts out there. That said, Rob often talks over the others, cuts them off, and performs other acts of douchebaggery as he runs this podcast like a dictator. Sorry Rob, nothing personal. You’re still a great journalist, but you might want to be cognizant of how you come across sometimes.

Alane5Glad to see I’m not the only one..Who thinks that Oller has absolutely ruined this podcast and careened it into the unlistenable. He’s every overly-opinionated/under-knowledged exurb baseball dad-vomiting up half-baked theories, monopolizing time, thinking he’s more clever than he actually is, and passive- aggressively “busting balls”. It’s such a shame because Bill is thoughtful and insightful and Joey seems like a good dude. Never missed this with Tim and Bill..but Oller has made this a straight delete.

fnunjeScripted Slapstick by the 3 Stooges?I listened for a few months, then unsubscribed. The immature bullyish childish banter is either done as some kind of scripted slapstick (which is absolutely not funny after the first time) a la archie bunker and meathead (Joey, dude... pick up the tone and the energy, bro... you’re sound like eeyore playing the part of a funeral director at a wake!) or a serious angry rift between the old guy and youngster. In any case, the hosts come off as a bunch of clowns who don’t seem interested at all in being there. Also... a minor but equally aggravating thing: look up the correct pronunciation for “podcast”. I’m no linguistic, but I’m sure it’s not pronounced “PUDcast”... sheesh. Unless that’s supposed to be a reference to the hosts. Summary: too many other good daily podcasts out there with good insights and analysis to be wasting time with these guys listening to them act like the three stooges trapped in a Honda Civic. Don’t waste your time.
-
Long Beach BuckeyeJust Talk FootballGenerally like you guys a lot when talking Buckeye football but the silly banter really detracts from the podcast. Just my two cents, Go Bucks!
-
Economist LUVrBill and Joey are great.Rob is VERY opinionated, not funny, and interrupts Bill and Joey far too much. I may stop listening and reading if this keeps up. Was far better with Bill and Tim. Columbus Dispatch, please help.
-
Jesus TralfazzBetter Ohio State Podcasts Are Out ThereNever before have I heard such drivel from a bunch of crotchety old men. I lasted about halfway through their podcast before I stopped listening to their collective nonsense. If I could I would give them zero stars instead of one. If you want to listen to a more complete podcast about Ohio State football I recommend Tim May’s podcast.
-
DNHughesGreat NewsI always enjoy this podcast and can’t wait for it each game Always very informative and interesting
-
Nastaley1 starI normally just stop listening but this used to be so good. Bill is still great, Joey is fine, Rob is unlistenable. I often like non football banter, but not in this case. Stop interrupting and stop asking podfather questions please
-
SilverBulletmRob Oller is the worst, ruins this podcastRob Oller is the worst, ruins the podcast, no one cares about his dumb off topic or even football comments, Bill Rabinowitz is great as always and saves this show, but gets dragged down by the dumb comments by Rob. Been listening for years, finally I am done, it’s horrific
-
ATL BuckeyeGo Bucks!I enjoy listening to the local Dispatch guys. Interviews with the other writers for visiting teams are informative too. Keep it up!
-
6ratsLove itGood job guys. Keep it up. Go Bucks.
-
gdwagsUnlistenableBriefly states the obvious between constant commercials. Attempts humor but... not well.

eyelcubOller has to go!I have been a regular listener to this podcast and always enjoyed it. Tim May and Bill Rabinowitz were great. This season there is a new lineup. Bill is still solid. The new guy, Joey is good. But Rob Oller is painful to listen to! In looking at some of the other reviews, I can see that I am not alone in my assessment. Rob comes across as a real smart a** and adds nothing of substance to the show. It’s time for him to go. There are many good Ohio State podcasts out there. This is one that I almost always listen to. But if they don’t get rid of Rob Oller, It will be time for me to go!!
-
imabukiThe new guy is greatBill is always good and a pro. I never knew Rob Oller and it was years since I read him since I’m spending money on a paper the size of the Lantern. Anyway, Rob is very unlikeable. It’s almost like he is playing a role as the most likable guy on the show.
-
Colorado gobucks1You asked for it, you got itI caught up on the Buckeyextra football podcasts over the weekend on a car trip to Michigan ironically. You asked for reviews, here you go. The trio of Rob Oller, Bill Rabinowitz, and Joey Kaufman are fantastic. Newsy, insightful, and humorous. Most of all they are informative and fair-balanced when so many college writers are homers. This is must-listen for any serious Buckeye Fan. And I almost forgot the Podfather - hilarious. Please keep up the great work and may all home football games be at Noon so you can leisurely meet your deadline for the Sunday paper!
-
the spinzNew Listener - Surviving Summer!Great buckeye content, helping me survive the summer football drought! Can’t wait to catch it when we’re breaking down games in the fall!
-
Chris in IndianapolisGreat Buckeye ContentAs a transplanted Buckeye fan I love this podcast as a way to nerd out on Ohio State football. Also, Rob Oller sounds younger, thinner, and well-caffeinated since the move to Columbus. Five Stars.
-
samson89O-HGood listen. Stays on topic, none of the 10 minute random life talks like some others tend to do. Good solid ohio state information.
-
BeeorboA Podcast Made for PrintIt’s almost as if these guys have never listened to a podcast before. At the very least, they need to fix the audio quality. They also need to have better topics and insights. Good print journalists but bad podcasters.
-
cool in stlGreat coverageIf you want a quick podcast to learn what’s going on with Buckeye football, you’ve got two of the most knowledgable guys in the business. Great Job Tim and Rob!!
-
jr1956Great, but ...not long enough! Guess these guys have lots of other stuff to do. I could listen to them for a lot longer.
