Connor2104TDS ruined this podcastI don’t care if my political views are diff but my god I’m done listening since every podcast they bring up the current president any chance they can. Laughing about being banned on reddit because one wished he was no longer alive? I don’t want to hear that anymore.
-
dwhiltonFantastic gaming podcastI have been listening to gaming based podcasts for over two decades…over the years I have dropped almost all of the gaming based podcasts except for Rebel FM. I appreciate all of the hosts different perspectives and recommendations. Their discussions also feel natural versus other podcasts out there.
-
Powerslave75Matt needs to goThe shows without Matt are a pleasure, but can’t stand when he shows up. He’s boring and condescending and adds nothing other than mmmm’s and chuckles after every sentence the other two hosts make.
-
tCobraBeen listening since 1upHave been a fan of the podcast since day one. And it’s still good all these years later.
-
Jack W0lf1up showBeen a big fan since the days of the 1up show! Thanks for keeping the fire burning love you guys! Best gaming podcast out there!
-
aaelonStill one of the best gaming podcastsBeen listening since the beginning, they like the games I like and are usually spot on about… look it’s early in the morning my brain can’t process words yet, it’s good ok!

fulltiltedAwful uninformed medical adviceMatt is just horrid. He is so boring and always virtue signaling. Seems to still be brought to you by pharmaceutical companies Thought I would check in and they actually end each show telling listeners to boost. Horrible! I used to love the podcast. Don’t need your sanctimonious uneducated medical advice. My good friend just died this week after getting this emergency approved intervention that you push unsolicited. I am done listening after 10 years.
-
ThelastampersandPodcast of PanderingLots of narcissism and virtue signaling. Anthony is great if you can stand the other 2 hosts.
-
The Fandom MenaceStill my favorite video game podcastThanks Arthur, Anthony, and Matt. Yall like a warm blanket of curmudgeonly joy.
-
BrusierBrigadeReally hard to recommendAnthony is really the only likable one and I followed him here from the Comedy Button. He’s really down to earth and is a cool guy. Arthur is a mega douche and might be the least likable podcast member I’ve heard in some time. Matt is absolutely boring to the point I don’t have anything to say about him. I guess I do enjoy some of this pod because it’s pretty lean. They get straight to it! There isn’t a lot of filler and they have been doing this for a long freaking time which is impressive
-
Total RossFive StarsArthur and Anthony are both very plugged into the industry. Great insights, love hearing their takes every week.

jeffhesserthe glory lives on!new comers might feel a bit confused but hang in there, these guys are the best and i look forward to the genius that will be! Wrote the above text on day 1. Still holds true all these years later
-
connormcaOne of the bestAs a listener since the first episode, who hasn’t left a review in 14 years somehow, I can say that I am always looking forward to listening to that weeks episode. The crew always has such a good dynamic discussion about whatever is on their minds, and you can tell the guys have a special friendship that it is great to be parasocially involved in I love & appreciate these guys, and more people should too!
-
Types92InformationalIf you can get past Matt’s consistent laughing and the virtue signaling it is a informational video game podcast
-
CrazybagmanChuf it outWhat a legacy!
-
joker309GreatMy favorite podcast to listen to weekly. Thank you for the content.
-
Xander51Needs audio compression!Three dejected men whose work I used to enjoy talk quietly about video games. Very different from how it started out years ago, and not necessarily better.
-
trker91Top gaming podcastOne of the best gaming podcasts you’ll find.

deserteaglesseilhThey asked me to reviewIt's less expensive to review Than to ko-fi.... This is one of like 4 podcasts I've kept up with throughout the years and the only podcast I've listened to every single episode of. It isn't overly produced or systematic (this is a good thing), and it doesn't bludgen you with adds. The hosts are entertaining, highly knowledgeable, and very respectful. Even when they have disagreements, they present their arguments well, and hear each other out. The world would be a better place if more people treated each other the way these guys treat each other and their audience. The only real complaint I have is that this is usually just 3 dudes talking about video games. It would be nice if they diversified their cast more regularly, but for a podcast of a bunch of dudes talking about video games, you can do way way way worse. This is one of the best out there :)
-
NeoSimkinSending love!Long time listener here! 💚 I’ve been looking forward to your content every week since the very beginning, and I still love what you’re doing with the podcast! I know it has to be difficult to keep up but you all do it with such passion and fun together, you are amazing! 😁

WillGNBAOverall great showLike some others here, I've listened since episode one. Like some others I have tuned out at points for various reasons (virtue signalling, Arthur dominating the conversation or being condescending, etc). But I've always come back to Rebel because I respect all of the hosts as experts in the games industry. My one request is more shows with only Arthur and Anthony because their chemistry is really great. Tyler should make a reappearance at some point, too!

Scorch6262Arthur always seems to need to have the last wordListening to Arthur argue with Anthony about a show he hasn’t even watched and disagreeing with Anthony’s take on the show after watching it. Been listening for a long time and too many conversations turn into a monologue from Arthur telling Anthony or Matt why he is right until they shut down and let the monologue to finish so they can move on to the next topic. Been listening since the beginning and this happens way too often. Just let Anthony, Matt, and guests have the last word sometimes when Arthur disagrees. I think this has improved, just would like less of these where we can get more equal input from Matt and Anthony. Arthur sometimes seems to dominate the conversation. I think they all have enough awareness and self awareness and it is still a good time and they have good rapport generally. Just needed to rant, but still a 5 star show. Arthur too, I like hearing his perspective, don’t like when it feels like he is needlessly disagreeing and sometimes somewhat dismissive with perspectives or co-hosts.
-
WHMHTGreat showListener since 1UP. Has been great to watch these hosts grow their careers and share their evolving views on games over the years. Looking forward to more to come.
-
SlowbotAre you woke enough?I’ve been listening to this podcast since day 1 because I loved the 1up show but it has in the last few years become kind of a contest of who can Out-Woke each other. I have always considered myself pretty liberal but I guess not enough for these guys. This show has become very ham fisted and judgmental of its audience and almost shaming them without even knowing how they feel, Not to mention the complete condescending attitude of Arthur Guise which has become quite intolerable to me lately. Can’t believe I’m quitting after all these years. Used to be good, Now? Not so much.
-
cinnamon_handsLook for the common themeIf you look at all the negative reviews, you will see they pretty much have one thing in common. That thing is Arthur. The Tyler Barber years were the best in my opinion. Him and Robert Ashley should start their own podcast with Anthony. THAT WOULD RULE.
-
Innervision180Appreciate you guysI’ve been listening since the start (and the 1UP days prior). I appreciate you guys keeping this going and just want to say thanks!
-
Nigel - Saying hey.Been I listener since I was 16... I’m 28 now.It’s the last thing from my childhood I have left...
-
Groo AragonesHonestI have listened to this podcast since 1up went under. It has always been a great listen, even when the politics invade the conversations. I have found that just Anthony and Arthur together is the best. I liked Tyler, I like Matt but, when it’s just the two of them, it’s very good.
-
RealTyroneJacksonThis is worse that Cov*b 19If 2020 couldn’t get any worse for me I accidentally listened to this and now I wish I was born with out ears... So slowwwww and lammmmmme
-
ExwingzeroVery thoughtfulBeen listening since they started back in 2009... grew up with them as an early 20 year old to now an early 30 year old. Looking at them now you’ll find very thoughtful discussion not only on electronics, music, games and the industry, but also introspection and what it means to be a voice and have a say. Either as a game dev, publisher, consumer, or as a journalist or podcaster. Hopefully you’ll get a lot out of your listening. And if you stick with them, I’m sure you’d find that you like the show even more.
-
xtheapocxAnthony GalangisSince day one listener here. Keep it up guys, love the show.
-
fastyGreatBeen listening forever. It’s like old friends discussing their lives through a video game lens, not just a discussion of video games. And mad respect that they’ve never monetized. Such a shocking decision given the regularity and depth and effort over ten years. Bonus points for covering Xbox regularly in an era where most podcasts never do. I don’t even play the games they most discuss but don’t care. Just like the dialogue.
-
DARTHCHOLOLESS SJW AND POLITICSThe gaming and tech talk is great. This is the reason I’ve always listened. I skip the majority of any podcasts during election time. I don’t listen to any podcast spouting there political views whether they lean left or right. I game and listen to gaming podcasts to escape from this crap. Also movies like Blazing Saddles, Short Circuit, Tropic Thunder and The Hangover have aged incredibly well. It would be five stars but you have to subtract one star for the politics,SJW antics and their love of saying “YAH”. I feel like I’m at a Canadian rodeo.

whizardaniNo corporate feelJust guys talking about their hobby and do it cause they want to, not cause theyre paid
-
News Hound1985Way Better Than NPRListened to them for years. Listening feels like I’m hanging out with a group of my good buddies. <3
-
jaycar2aI love these guys.I'm sorry guys, I've said something negative about Arthur in my prior versions of this review. That was completely unfair of me. We are all wonderful individuals with our own lives and opinions. This podcast has wonderful people with varied viewpoints of games and entertainment. Anthony is so awesome for being so open over the years on Comedy Button and this podcast. You guys are all great. Anyone who plays games, enjoy!
-
Tigertoy77084ExceptionalWow 9 years! Thank you for sticking with it and continuing doing what you love - talk about video games and life's lessons.

uncouthkarlGreat listenBeen listening since the beginning and have enjoyed every episode
-
SeaheffLove these guysCasual and informed videogame chatter. Keep it coming!
-
PolowBornFlyThe show is good butI like the show a lot but Arthur’s perspective just sounds so negative just to be different from everyone else and if others don’t agree with him he seems to get offended and that rubs me the wrong way plus they do a lot of eating on the show which isn’t great — so besides Arthur’s “my opinion is different just cause” and the eating the show is sooo great
-
megawilliamsA videogame journalist All-Star showIf you like listening to people talk about videogames then you need download this show. Ok, maybe you don't "need" to download it, but it's really entertaining. And to be honest, if you've made it this far it's probably redundant to ask if you like to listen to people talk about videogames. I mean, it's an audio podcast in the videogame category. It’s sooooo good.

daught.meStill listening 8+ years later!Great chill gaming podcast, like hanging with friends and talking games. While they aren’t super formal they still do have some in-depth discussions that help inform me on what to play next and my greater awareness of the game industry. Occasionally they’ll do a deep dive on tech like; what the best 5.1 gaming headphones are, what TVs to buy, AMD vs Nvidia etc. I also love their taste in music for the breaks and outro, I’ve discovered several favorite bands over the years. — Original Review (Jan 10, 2009) — I was so sad about the 1UP network podcasters being laid-off; in my opinion it was the best thing 1UP had going for them. Knowing that the podcasts I love will live on in some form or another is all I needed to hear. With the 1UP podcasts gone Rebel FM is the new best video game podcast. Subscribe now! It's only going to get better as they get more recording equipment to improve the production.
-
Nyoo1578Day oneI have been listening since the fall of 1UP thanks for all the hard work guys. Miss the game club but understand fully why it has been MIA
-
JampackedeonI’ve listened to every episode, and don’t plan on stoppingVery chill, but informed hosts Anthony, Matt, and Arthur have been a delight to listen to for 8 years. They aren’t afraid to be opinionated but also do their research on these games where I often hear an angle of critique I would never have thought of. If you go back to their end of year music specials or game clubs where they play a game together and review it this podcast really adds something entirely unique. Also, shoutout to recent caster James, and to Matt for always promoting a new RPG!
-
NuclearGhostHey GuysBeen listening since Episode 1 and I still look forward to it every week. One of the best vidja game podcasts around
-
Supa ninjaThoughtful and fun discussionsI’ve been listen to this show since episode 1 when I was in high school and now I work for one of the big 3 video game publishes. If you listen to this show you too can work in games I guess. Great show and I listen to it every week. -Braden League
-
J.C.SBest gaming podcastArthur, Anthony, Matt and Brian always have great insight into every game they discuss. They’re funny and entertaining and do awesome things like extra life and the end of the year music spectacular episode which is always exceptional. Thank you all for such a great show.
