    (Really) laughing out loud!
I’ve been listening to Rob O’Hara for years now and after listening to his introduction of episode 195, I had to write this review. I was laughing out loud as Rob went through his invented list of Crossroads Mall store names. He is creative, comedic and brings joy into the world with his antics. So, if you’d like to bring a bit more light and a lot more laughter into your world, listen to YDKF! — zolli

    The insights are real
You Don’t Know Flack shows nuance to so many topics: the Karate, Satanic Panic, Anarchy, Documentaries, Skateboarding episodes show some real enthusiasm and the details are really interesting. I can’t wait to hear more.

    Great storytelling!
Mr. O’Hara podcasts are like having a neighbor that always up for a walk and tells great stories. Gets me through a few exercise sessions a month. In fact I bought Mr O’Hara’s book “Commodork” before I knew he did podcasts. O’Hara is knowledgeable, well researched, and most of all, likable. Subscribe today!

    The best
YDKF is an excellent walk down memory lane for just about anyone who grew up in the ‘80s. Flack has a lot of great stories to tell and remembers details of things that I have long forgotten. I read another review where the reviewer stated that while listening to Flack, you’ll swear that he grew up in your neighborhood, I cannot agree more. Flack has several podcasts and they are all great.

Rob knows more about retro computers than I’ve forgotten.
YDKF is the best retro oriented podcast available on the internet today. Very disappointed when he took a break but very happy now to have him back. He lives retro every day and has an amazing ability to recall the tiny details that most of us have completely forgotten about.

    The pod fathers master podcast
Rob is the retro pod father. I can’t get enough of his stories of the past. No matter what the subject is. Very family friendly. Definitely great for long road trips or educating your kids on what it was like growing up in the 70’s and 80’s. Enlightening for them and it definitely gets them motivated to seek out things that we all loved in the past. Keep up the great work!

    Professional AND Personal
I love Rob “Flack” O’Hara’s Podcasts Because they are done so professionally. Once you get to know him after two or three podcasts, you find yourself wanting to listen to more and more and more. I don’t know if it’s the content or the way he personalizes every podcast he makes, but I not only can identify with his subjects, I can also identify with him personally and his experiences. Thank you Rob O’Hara so much for producing such wonderful podcasts. I hope you never stop.

    Great throwback
Who knew listening to someone talk about every computer he owned, working at Best Buy, or Star Wars video games, could be so interesting? Rob O'Hara has a gift for telling stories, and no matter what the subject, you'll find yourself fascinated with his tales of things retro. Recommended!

    Excellent
I'll start this review by saying that I usually don't like one-man-show podcasts, but Flack pulls it off beautifully. I never miss the banter you get with a group format podcast because his stories are usually super interesting. It never sounds awkward...he seems like a natural when behind the mic. As for the content, if you grew up in the 80s or early 90s and want to hear about cool stuff like DOS, BBS's, etc, you love this podcast. It's crazy how someone who lived hundreds of miles away from where I grew up had very similar experiences with technology to the ones I had. Highly recommended.

Good times and lots of fun.
Rob O'Hara takes us back to a time when the VCR, BBS, pager and the Atari 2600 were riding high on the New Wave of pop culture. "Flack" shares his life growing up in Oklahoma with his signature style of storytelling and humor. Don't miss this podcast if you want to re-live the 80s or if you want a taste of what life was like when Donkey Kong was king.

    Wonderful, nostalgic journey
I first heard about Rob O’Hara through a Slashdot article discussing his book, Commodork. I really enjoyed that book and since, have really liked following his podcasts. YDKF covers a wide range of topics and even if the topic isn’t something I am necessarily interested in I still find myself having a great time listening to Rob reminisce and telling stories.

    Entertaining and fun!
Rob is a gifted story teller, no matter what the subject. A great podcast covering a variety of the things we loved in the 80s and beyond.

He’s like the friend I never had
Very enjoyable listening to his stories. Even when it’s about topics I couldn’t give carp about I find it fascinating to just listen to his experiences and imagine the picture that he paints so well with his words.

Retro gaming and life at its finest!
Flack has great topics for any retro fan. Although I would like more podcasts on a regular basis I am happy to have the stellar episodes from the man with a golden podcasting voice. Check out all the finest episodes including my personal favorite the Christmas episode. Great job Flack!

Great vingnettes of a man's life in tech
Rob has a gift for telling stories and reminiscing about technology makes you feel nostalgic for the way things used to be in the 70s and 80s. Highly recommended.

    A Genius Among Men
Fortunately this is an audio podcast, otherwise Flack's stunning good looks might distract listeners from the show's content. Like an angelic teletype machine, his voice both soothes and informs. Flack's romps through old tales of technology are like running through a wonderful park, if that park were filled with Commodore 64 computers. I don't always comment on my own podcast, but when I do, this happens.

    Fantastic Show!
This podcast favors retro computers and old tech, something I mostly missed out on except for video games, so I don't really have any connection to some of the things Flack talks about. But that doesn't matter, because Flack is one of the great storytellers and he makes whatever he's talking about really interesting, something that I think is very hard to do. This is one of the best podcasts out there and I highly recommend it!

    Rob is brilliant!
A wonderful podcast to listen to. Few can make a solo cast work. He can!

    Great Story Teller
Rob has such a great way of telling the stories of his youth using BBS's all the way to his trips to retro arcades across the country. If your a retro computer fan, arcade fan or even a fan of Ninjas then you wont want to miss an episode.

    Don;t miss it!

    Excellent Podcast
If you are interested in '80s era gaming, computers that sort of geeky thing you should give this a shot. Rob seems like an interesting guy and his podcast is basically him telling stories of the 'old days', which could be a disaster, but he manages it easily with a smooth delivery and presentation. I grew up in that era but really on the fringe of the scene he tells about but this still quickly became one of my favorite podcasts, mostly due to Rob's ability to keep me entertained. Keep up the good work!

    Don't Know Flack? You Will!
Rob "Flack" O'Hara does a fantastic job of relating personal stories and anecdotes that makes you feel like you've known him your whole life. The subject matter of his podcasts range from the early days of computing and Photon to how one should prepare themselves on starting an arcade collection. Good stuff. You may not know Flack yet but you will.

Flack - Get to Know Him
YOU DON'T KNOW FLACK is a podcast that lives and dwells in some of the arcane technology of years ago. Rob O'Hara (your host) spins yarns artfully blended with facts and little known minutia about such topics as copying diskettes, obscure computer outdrives, and situations that simply no longer exist because of huge leaps in technology. O'Hara looks back with fondness, but he doesn't add the extra sugar that can be so prevalent with shows that look back at our collective cultural past. You should definitely give it a try - it's really well done. Start at the beginning, but cut Flack some slack on the tonal qualities. He's got a nice new microphone by about the 4th or 5th podcast.
