It’s basically 2003 ESPN, but infrastructure. Fantastic podcast.

First NB episode of 2023: Greg compares the ability to spot someone using a ChatGBT result as akin to being able to identify the guilty party in a silent but violent offense. 😆 Later in the episode, he compares the body of a Centaur to an AiOps model. 🤯 Been listening for years, great podcast, great group of gents. I’ve been listening for about a year now and great for me morning and afternoon commute. I’m just getting into the IT world after working in OT (manufacturing automation) for a while. This keeps me up to date on the latest news and gives me technology topics to looks up later and provokes some thought. :)

Been listening to these guys for 5 years now back when everything was streamed from the first website. They are only growing and expanding their shows and their fan base both. I absolutely love how interactive they are and appreciative of their fan base. Many of the experts that appear on the show start as fans and the right people just end up getting put in touch. A true testament to the power of a connected world created for those of us connecting it and done by those of us that have connected it and been around long enough to have a speciality!

One of the two or three best Tech podcasts

I recently starting consistenly listening to the suite of shows provided by packet pushers everyday for the past 3 weeks during my commute. I even give some episodes a second or third listen. Everything about these shows are detailed and thorough, even the show notes. Thank you Packet Pushers for helping me elevate my craft.

Okay it might be the only one I know but it's still the best!

I have been doing networking for about 4 years and was looking for a podcast that would keep me up to date with the latest trends in the networking world. Packet Pushers filled that need and then some! I feel that I am in touch with the latest and greatest technology coming down the pipe as it relates to networking. I highly recommend this to any networking professional!

They always give great insight with a hint of snark that anyone in the industry can relate to.

These guys and their guests are the real deal. No BS, no marketing (well just a little), no overused buzz words. Every episode I learn something new and you can to. Their topics cover not just the network, but just about everything that can touch your network. Love this show, keep up the amazing job.

I love this podcast! With much of what I listen to/read through I find I have to find the meat and spit out the bones, and in tech - there are a lot of bones. Packet Pushers gets right to the meat of infrastructure engineering in many of it's facets, so there are less bones to spit out. I feel well edified and educated by listening to their podcasts, and reading their newsletters. The information the diseminate comes across as if it is without agenda, and in a world where everyone has profit to make, and an agenda to push, this podcast is refreshing. Even in the episodes where they do interviews with the companies that sponsor the podcast, you can tell they aren't trying to push anything on you, and because of their demeanor I genuinely don't believe they'd allow a sponsor who's product they don't believe in. The podcast is also done with excellence and passion. Give it a listen, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

If you're a network engineer or not, or just interested in tech and want to stay abreast of current/future trends, this is a must-have podcast to subscribe to. I definitely consider this as part of my toolbox as their discussions and analysis have positively impacted my approaches at work and contributed to my "life-long" learning goals.

I just spent time listening to the Geoff Houston episode on the future of networking. Fascinating. I can't wait to hear more.

It's amazing sometimes how much info they are able to package in this conversations.

Data networking is changing rapidly after essentially being asleep for the last 10 years. This podcast is a good mix of commentary and information from vendor technical people, without a lot of marketing fluff. If you want to understand why SDN, for example, is important to you, this is the place.

If you have a background in IT, this podcast provides a fantastic outlet to expend your understanding of technical concepts in networking and broaden your horizons with new technologies and vendors you may not have otherwise considered. It is made especially valuable by its two outstanding hosts who bring a diverse mixture of experience to the table and always create an engaging experience. Over the past two years I have listened to almost every episode of the show and I can honestly say that it has made me a more knowledgable and inquisitive person.

Packet Pushers is an excellent source of data, information, insight and entertainment for the networking industry. It’s on my must listen list of podcasts. The guys do a great job of bringing in experts from vendors and folks in the trenches!

I've been in the IT and networking industry for almost 25 years. Although I am considered an expert by my peers, I realize truly how much I do not know. Greg and Ethan do a great job covering items that I've never known or have forgotten completely. I like their non-apologetic deep dives into technology driving me to go look up new stuff. This podcast is full of good technical information and not fluff like some other networking podcasts. Greg and Ethan have excellent guests who are very well known in the networking industry. I listen to the podcast every week. I just wish Greg would not interrupt his knowledgable guests as much. It's as is he needs to have everyone know how smart he is. We know you know your stuff Greg. :) Please allow your great guests more time to share their knowledge/insights by not interrupting and/or monopolizing the podcast by getting on your soapbox. You invited them on for a reason. Thanks.

The Packet Pushers is a superb podcast on all aspects of networking/data centers. The hosts cover a range of topics in depth in a vendor neutral non-commercial fashion. Example guests include vendors, IETF and IEEE authors, and people in the trenches. Highly recommended.

It's tough staying up to date in the networking field. Packet Pushers does a great job delivering content in an entertaining way.
