I Always Come To This For Advertising Inspiration
I’ve been listening to Jordan Brady for several years now, he doesn’t know it, but he’s helped shape my career through the bountiful amount of diverse and insightful film/advertising creatives that he’s interviewed. The dude is somehow inspirational and entertaining at the same time!

Trust me. A filmmaker & film lover must-listen!
Jordan is such a delight to listen to. Plenty of film industry insight, wit and charm to spare. But he spares nothing, leaves every ounce of it in every episode. I especially love how he collaborates with his entire family to bring this fun production to us every week. Get into it, thank me later!

    Fun & Insightful
Jordan brings his many years of directing experience and his “limited but correct” view on comedy to this entertaining and educational podcast. However, he should really take the opportunity to promote his Commercial Directing Bootcamp, his book, and his Osso Hot Sauce on the platform...😜 Also shoutout to Helen!

    Exceptionally Valuable and Entertaining
As a listener and participant of Jordan Brady’s Podcast and Bootcamp, I found that I laughed my way into a better version of myself, both as artist and businessperson, with what I gained from both experiences.

    Amazing Podcast
This is an amazing podcast to learn more about the process of commercial film making. Our whole studio listens to it. Jordan always has interesting guests on and does a great job of dissecting what it takes to be successful in this crazy industry. He also makes hot sauce with his sons. And it is really good hot sauce.

    Informative and Entertaining
Jordan’s podcast is a real peek inside what it’s like to work on video production in the advertising industry. Whether you are agnecy, production company, or client-side; this is the podcast to really learn your inside baseball on how commercials get made. Jordan is generous with his knowledge and expertise which can surprisingly be rare in the industry, as there can often be a feeling that people bogart techniques and tricks in such a competitive arena. Guests are diverse and engaging, and conversation is light and fun. Keep doing your thing Jordan!

    Process plus charm
I'm an engineer and I love process. Searching for podcasts about process led me to Jordan Brady and his podcast. He is a master and student of the craft. He is eager to share and to learn--the guests are from the entire spectrum of the commercial production process. The interviews are delightful because Jordan is curious, charming, witty, affectionate, and he really celebrates what each guest brings to their work. So I may not use the technical lessons in my work, I certainly enjoy listening to professionals sharing their challenges, joys, and aspirations. Bravo, Jordan!

The Only Podcast I'm Going To Review EVER

Sharpen your Craft, Education and Business Acumen
Im a young Commercial Director and this podcast is better than film school & in some ways better than on the job training. The information shared in every episode is invaluable. I listen and relisten to many episodes. I take notes, I utilize references. Jordan is that incredible exception to the saying "Those who cant DO, TEACH." Well Jordan Brady is a master in both "Doing AND Teaching". Do yourself and your career a favor. Start with EP:01 don't stop until youve listened to all of them twice and then read his book "Commercial Directing Voodoo".

Best podcast on the subject hands-down. This podcast is a must for anyone looking to learn the inside details of working in the commercial business.

Even non-film-industry folks can learn a ton
My main interaction with the moving image is sitting in the audience or on my couch, taking it all in, so you'd think this inside view of the film industry might not be of interest. But I find it super interesting- Jordan's a great interviewer, picks his guests with care, and I'm struck by the generosity of the insights they all share. Highly recommend.

Actress learning everything she can :)
Thank you for your invaluable, behind the camera insight, Jordan! As an actor I feel that knowing what you all go through only strengthens my ability to solve the problem in front of the camera. Keep up the great work :-)

    Solid. Witty. Great insider look!
So I've been listening to Jordans podcasts for a year or so now...probably back when Tony Franklin was on. I'm a Minneapolis based director and as I continue to break in, this podcast has been fantastic to not only learn from and re-enforce my experience but also entertaining. I just heard Jordan Flack's episode...and I vote for more Jordans in the world. He's podcast gold. Great listen.

    Respect the Process
I've had the pleasure of working with Jordan on a few commercial shoots. He's a wonderful director and a real pleasure to be around. I took the Commercial Directing Bootcamp in Dallas and gleamed a lot of useful information from it that I've been able to incorporate in my own business. These podcasts are an extension of those bootcamps that I always look forward to on my drives. Thanks for your insight and willingness to share!

    Photographer/Director
I discovered Jordan Brady's podcast and became addicted quickly because of Brady's devotion to shedding light on the commercial directing business. From many differing perspectives sides of creative directors, to reps, to producers, to fellow directors, I have a plethora of knowledge thru each unique epsidoes perspective all because Brady's magical way of allowing people to open up, while being charming and comedic. Perfect for a commute or long roadtrip, if you are interesting in advertising in general, this thoroughly informs the process. Always look forward to the next episode!

One of the best filmmaking podcasts out there. Great variety of guests, and a good mix of inspiration and practical info. Just wish there were more eps!

    The highlight of my week
Jordan talks about a very seldom-discussed business and he does it with great humor. I always look forward to listening.

    RIc Cantor conversation was great!
Jordan, as always great show! Your conversation -I don’t want to call it an interview because it’s more casual than that - was informative and entertaining. Also I loved the inside dirt from Ric on how S Seagal was a d*bag. Ponytail Boy needs to lighten up! Keep up the good work!!

    My Favorite film podcast
I absolutely love this podcast. I’m super excited to have found this show. If you’re interested in learning more about the process of filmmaking, definitely give this show a listen. The podcast covers tv shows, commercials, feature films, and everything in-between. And the host and his guests are actual working professionals.

    Jordan gives us the goods!
I listen to about 6 different DP/director/filmmaking podcast and this is by far the BEST. Jordan is very funny, easy to listen to and follow along. He doesn’t talk as if you should have been in the industry 30 years to keep up. Also, he has had a very diverse guest list and I have never felt that my time listened was wasted. This is the best info you can get on commercial directing by someone who does it every day.
  • AaronWilson22
    Infromative and Entertaining
The man with two first names, Jordan Brady, does a great job of combining informative interviews that teach filmmakers and videographers the ins and outs of the film industry with entertaining and engaging interviewers. Check this podcast out if you want to be a better filmmaker or know what tools to use to start your own video project. Great listen!
  • ProducerforLife
Think you know the business? You don't.
Not until you've heard what Jordan and his guests reveal. Every episode has at least one takeaway that is a headslapper. The latest...editors are therapists. Duh. I kinda knew that, having sat in the back of the room for 30+ years. And I always knew the good ones had a force field behind their backs and ears that rotate so they can hear both what they're working on while staying alert to the convos/attitudes/brawls going on behind them. The title says it all. Those of us who love the business, and that's anyone who's in the business, will really appreciate the learning. If you're new, take notes. This is how it really is.

    A lighthouse
I know that this show was not created for beginner filmmakers, but it has been such an amazing educational resource for me. I am fortunate to be a documentary and comercial director with no film school or previous experience in the industry. Being from another country with language limitations and a ton of insecurities due to lack of technical knowledge; this show has being my access to the inside work of filmmaking and the chance to hear and learn from people that have been in the business much longer than me. This show has been like a lighthouse telling me the right direction to go. A lighthouse is the best description I have for this show.

    Raining Beans
This was a fun listen, Pat’s a great storyteller. I’ve worked in the business full time since 1993 and still enjoy hear peoples’ observations about their roles behind and in front of the camera. Keep up the good work!

Great insight to the Creative Process!
An excellent pod for anyone in a creative field. A great look behind the curtain for a wide swath of innovative folks who believe in their craft. Educational, inspiring and educational. What more could you ask for?

    Great show!
As someone who has worked with Jordan, Evan, and countless others, the respect I have for these guys goes further than set. I too, would like to be a director one day, and this show is a Must for anyone headed in that creative direction.
  • GuyForgaard
    Awesome!
Fascinating, Funny and Fundamentally important to anyone who wants to peek behind the curtain and get stuck into the world of commercial film making…..it's a triple Frickin threat and Fantastically awesome….so thats now 5 capital 'F's of why you should subscribe. ***** As a follow up to my prior post i have to say that even i, as a a supposed ‘film maker’ hugely enjoy this podcast and feel that i learn more each and every time about what goes into what i actually do for a living. Always stimulating and highly entertaining. If you are interested in the biz, a new member of it or an experienced and know it all (like i thought i was) then there is something to learn and enjoy from a listen. Big recommend.

    Don’t waste your time...
… in this business unless you listen to this amazing, fly on the wall perspective of two peeps (Jordan and his guest) chewing it up and talking shop. I have found it invaluable.

    Respect the podcast
I'm not in the tv or advertising industry, but I find this podcast interesting regardless. It's neat to know how the commercials get put together, and of course Jordan's rapport with Helen is excellent.

    Fun In Your Earholes
Jordan’s found a great niche to explore and wallow in. His comedy chops make for highly entertaining interview. Less angst than Maron, less sex than Stern, but a lot more insight into the process of making ads and making the funny.
  • arkansas1
So, Jordan Brady has a podcast...
And it's a good one. (Dare I say, Really Good)? I've worked with Jordan. He is funny, irreverent and insightful in the prelims and on the set. He brings those fine qualities to his funny, irreverent and insightful podcast. I don't even like advertising, but I dig this show. The peek behind the curtain is great fun.

The opening to the latest podcast is the perfect example of why I love it so much: Jordan is as entertaining as his show is informative. With his soothing manner, he segues seamlessly from religion ("I converted to Judaism but I lean toward Buddhism...my son is Jewish but considers himself Agnostic") to making movies and commercials...Love it all, Mr. Brady, keep it comin'!

    Better than film school...
Ok maybe not, but Brady offers real-world experience via his guests and his own vast experience. Not to mention he's funny and dreamy looking.

    Insiders Perspective Accesible to Everyone
Jordan Brady has empathy -- he relates and is legitimately curious, so when he interviews people, whether they're commercial directors, actor-directors, sound men or anyone else, you can tell he really does love and respect the process. I love that I never know who he'll interview next or what direction the podcast will take!

    Jordan Knows
This is a great insight into a mysterious hardly seen world. Reveals secrets of the black art of creating television commercials. If you are at all interested in this, this is required listening.
  • Elliottts
    Fun
Jordan reminds us all that first and foremost, the process should be fun. If not, what's the point. It's only advertising. I can say from first hand experience, that he takes the craft seriously, but makes the journey a hoot.

D.I.T. (Director In Training) Inspiration Fuel
As an aspiring director myself I have been urning for a podcast much like this. Jordan is the kind of host that has a chipper demeanor and a childlike sense of excitement that causes you to feel nothing short of inspired. Can't wait to see who else guests on this! Great podcast to listen to in the shower when your brain is spewing ideas already. Hopefully we'll see some eps on the Casting Process????? I'd love to hear about how much you guys actually get to chose, who's say says what, horror stories… the list goes on. Hopefully it'll fit in the 30 minute format.
