I discovered the podcast this weekend. I’ve been binge listening to it for two days. It’s now 2025 and Frederic started his podcast in 2014. Ten years later it’s still great, very useful, very informative, awesome insights into French culture. If you’re thinking about visiting France I think you will love it. If you want to know more about French people, I think you will love it. If you want some insights in the French language I think you will love it. Thank you, Frederic!

I am a first time listener. Initially I was quite shocked by his frank discussion, but was drawn in at the same time, and he discusses everything so freely and naturally that it seemed completely normal. His contrast with the American culture was spot on.

It’s great the way he explains about the culture of France. The way he tries his best not to be bias in order to show the bigger picture is great. I love it 🥰

This is by far the best podcast for those who want to understand French culture as well as learn the language. Frederic’s podcasts are witty, engaging and most important, based on real life. No more ‘ou est le bibliothèque?´ that I studied at school, but have never once used. I listen to these podcasts a lot and never get bored. Always learn something new as they cover topics that are not "the usual". Subjects that you would likely not want to broach in a class setting or even privately with your French teacher 😉 Merci beaucoup Frederic!

Frederic is a wonderful teacher. His podcasts are relaxed and feel as if you are having a conversation with a very good friend. He is funny, insightful and always a delight to listen to as you learn new things about French culture and language. He covers things that others don't and that makes it so much more meaningful. I was looking for a podcast to refresh my French vocabulary and learn more about the culture and this is great for that. Always interesting and I appreciate the cultural insights.

Bibard has a sweet and down-to-earth outlook which is very refreshing, especially if you have ever suffered a snob of a professor. I feel like I can trust his options and interpretations of culture and history. I was initially drawn to this podcast because I have a terrible time pronouncing French and his accent in English helps me interpret the “mouth” of the language. I do wish the vocabulary section was a bit slower.

Frederic's podcast as well as his website are both great ways for French learners and fans of France to learn the language and the culture of France. He covers a wide range of subjects, including French vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, fun phrases, and cultural questions about France. I would highly recommend Talk in French to everyone.

I have listened to every Talk in French podcast so far and have enjoyed them. Frederic has covered many different aspects of French life and I have learned a great deal. The language lessons are short but very helpful. Learning the language with the culture just seems to make sense. A most enjoyable listen.

These are great! There’s a variety of information presented in a very casual, friendly manner. I speak French already, but I enjoy the reminders about faux amis and some of the vocabulary. The cultural information is interesting and current.

These are great podcasts. A little bit of everything from an everyday, casual french perspective—culture, vocabulary and phrases. I especially enjoy the phrases because they are not always direct translation from English.
