    Amazing Show !
I love this podcast especially the introduction that explains the history and backstory of the episode. Jack is a treasure! Thank you!

I appreciated the show when it did not include advertisements or the long winded introduction and reflections by the team member. It comes across a money pull recently. Leads me to question the validity of the messaging.

    Chicken soup for the soul.
Jack is a treasure! I have found so much comfort and wisdom in these podcasts. If your feeling down or disconnected, listen to some stories, and consider some ancient wisdoms. The only thing is I hate to say it but I don’t like the new introductions by the other guy. It feels completely inauthentic to know Jack was doing these talks separately and some other dude is choosing specific talks to throw into a podcast. Just skip that guy he adds no value, sorry new guy, I know you mean well.

    Bummer
I am a long time listener. I have grown and changed from listening to Jack’s teachings and inspired to grow in my own practice. I am deeply disappointed by the advertiments now in the these “free” episodes. It seems like Jack, Tara and the whole American “Buddhist” teaching community has grown into a big corporate capitalist endeavor. I guess you can spend your life “practicing” but maybe it’s impossible to escape our American need for game and money. Because to me that’s what the insight meditation leadership seems mostly focused on these days. Zoom teachings with 500+ participants paying over $1000 each to participate. Seems like a right good livelyhood to me. Dissapointing

So much wisdom, but the Ford CEO episode?
This has been my favorite podcast for some time. I like the new intros by Ganesh. When I heard the new intros, I knew that some older followers would be complaining. Lately Ganesh has sounded a little sad and subdued. I hope it’s not from the harsh reviews. Don’t let them get you down, Ganesh! I really liked your new energy. One more thought which is why I gave 4 stars - why did they post the podcast with the Ford CEO during the UAW strike? Super weird and absolutely no preface or comment about the strike? Very odd.

    Interviewing Ford on right livelihood?
Why post such drivel now, during a worker’s strike? Abominable. Who’s steering the ship here? Posting the Russell Brand interview when all the RB news hits? A completely uncritical eulogy of Trungpa Rinpoche? What happened to the principles of radical honesty and right speech? Seriously, can we have some accountability, or has someone deemed Jack entirely beyond reproach?

    Profit off of Jack?
Jack is wonderful and profound but commodifying him seems antithetical to his teachings.
  • Lizzzzzzxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Yikes guys
Between the Trungpa episode, the Brand episode… and now in the midst of UAW strike, Jack puts out an interview with Bill Ford? Whew that’s a lot of bad looks.

    Take down abuser
Jack please take down the Russell Brand episode
  • coriolis86
    Just Jack please
I don’t come here to hear a cute synopsis of what jack says. Eliminate all the personality and exposition…just let Jack speak for himself.

The new narrator needs to go
I love JK but this new perky narrator was a bad choice. It sounds like he has had way too much caffeine - sorry!:) I turn the whole show off when I hear him announce my beloved Jack Kornfield. Why do we need a introducer? Is it to get young people involved? Well, he doesn’t sound very enlightened at all and no one needs a rookie freshman to help us meet Jack- and btw we are young this would definitely not entice us.

    Love Jack!
Great podcast. Not a fan of the new intros

    Jack is incredible
Jack is incredible and his dharma talks have been life changing. However, I absolutely cannot stand the new episode intros from his media manager, Ganesh Braymiller. I find them unnecessary, not useful, and frustrating to have to fast forward through to get to Jack. It makes me not want to listen to the podcast. Please reconsider having Ganesh introduce the dharma talks. They already have everything they need.

    Thank you Jack!
I am constantly returning to talks on the BeHereNow network, and Jack is one of my favorite people to listen to. His calming tone and gentle sense of humor highlight the powerful truths delivered in each episode. I’m so grateful to have found Jack and his wife Trudy Goodman, for they have both brought me so much peace in my life through their kind and compassionate words and wisdom. Trudy needs her own show too! ;)

Don’t like new intros to podcast
I enjoy Jack’s podcast and often listen to it when I can’t sleep. The new intro doesn’t work for me though. It’s abrupt and doesn’t add anything. I prefer to just hear Jack.

I’m reminded all things change ❤️
I wasn’t surprised to hear some concerns about the new intro and my instinctual response was also “wait, what? Too loud, too young, too energetic!” But as I listen to this young person I’m realizing how much I’m enjoying his excitement and energy around Jack’s teaching and the podcast. What a joy to hear this from a younger person who undoubtedly has a better handle on social media than Jack ;) it’s here to stay I’m fairly certain - so how wonderful to have someone bringing this eternal wisdom to another generation. It reminds me not to grasp, and accept change and honestly, feel a bit more excited about myself and my spiritual journey ! I’m willing to embrace the constant of change. :)

    Deeply meaningful & beneficial
I always get so much out of what Jack shares…and it often hits a need I didn’t even realize I had and helps me stretch further. I have to agree with another reviewer that the commentary in the new intro is insightful, but feels but like a mis-match energetically to Jack Kornfield (I also felt overwhelmed trying to listen to him speak while music was playing).

    Newest episodes intro
I really appreciate and dearly benefit from this wonderful podcast. I routinely listen to many Spirit Rock meditation teachers by listenening to podcasts, reading books/listening to audiobooks, and dream of attending retreats in California soon. However, that said, the new intro(s) added to this podcast by Jack’s new media content specialist adds a negative twist to this podcast. I enjoy the updates given by this specialist, but he comes on so strongly (and loudly) that it takes away from Jack’s calming, soothing voice and corresponding message.

    Beautiful!
Soak it up like a sponge!

    Love the show!
I especially love the readings of Buddhist stories that I’ve never heard of before! The intrinsic comicalness and wisdom imbedded in these stories never fails to amaze.

    Better Help Not Good
I agree that Better Help should Not be a sponsor. With years practicing Zen meditation and reading great spiritual thought leaders I was sent a very underwhelming list recommendations of therapists who did not have a like minded background similar to myself or the brilliance of Jack Kornfield.
  • KAS2211
    Sponsorship
I love the podcast but I suggest reconsidering the BetterHelp sponsorship. BetterHelp is not a conscientious mental health provider.

I love this human being so much. I am listening to these episodes over and over again. Thank you for you, Jack!

    Thank you
I’ve always listened to and loved the teachings of Jack Kornfield; his thoughtful, elegant, soulful dharma talks have kept me tuned in for years. But I had wandered away from my mindfulness practice in the weirdness of this pandemic. This podcast has really tuned me back in to being able to observe, and to feel compassion for myself, and for others. As I listened to one of the talks, I found myself sitting with tears rolling down my face, realizing how strong I was requiring myself to be while battling loneliness, grief, fear, and my mind’s constructions of various futures, all rather unpleasant. Thank you, Jack, for helping us keep our hearts open and our minds still. It’s a great gift.
  • amigosaq
Elegant, erudite, but with a light touch...
These teachings will encourage anyone interested in living a more human, insightful, and compassionate life. It’s not necessary to be a Buddhist to allow the presentations to shape one’s spiritual practice . I often listen at night, and find it relaxing. Thank you, Jack and Spirit Rock!

    The voice of wisdom
In an other wise chaotic world there is a voice of wisdom, calm, and love. Jack is the epitome of teacher. If everyone followed him the world would be a much much better place. Peace.

You just don’t realize its over because he engages you so much nothing else seems to go on. Good advice, little jokes, insights on meditation - this podcast is a real jewel.

    Beautiful Keynote with Jack.
I am so thankful for these keynotes being saved and put into a podcast. I always hear or learn something new every time I listen to a new episode or one I have listened to many times before. It is nice to find a podcast that is truly educated on the lifestyle.

    Leave the politics out
I love Jack so much; since 2009 I have been a dedicated listener and reader of his works. He transformed my world. I fear, however, that he is alienating certain people by veering too much into politics with every talk. Whether or not he is right in his judgment isn’t the point; we’re all trying to come together to hear a message that transcends party lines, the US presidency, and the identity politics of present day narratives. Please consider.

    Episode 2 turn off
I read Jack’s book, A Path with Heart and enjoyed it, so I turned to his podcast for more. The second episode is a complete turn off from anything else he has to offer. I tried for weeks to let the commentary be what it was, and not let it disturb me. But phrases like “I like to F women” were casually tossed into a deeply meaningful conversation about death and seeking the Christ mind, with no rebuttal from Jack. It felt like verbal assault. Being raised in Christian America- I’m supposed to let “boys be boys” - and that is one of the reasons I turned to meditation and mindfulness, seeking beyond the confines of dominant religions like Christianity that keep women down. I find it difficult to listen to him speak on any topic of enlightenment after he dropped the ball in what felt like listening to a group of bros talking about their penises in such a Western-dominate way. Sex is taught to be something to honor and enter into mindfully, not just in conservative religions but in Buddhism as well. Sex is also something that can be over-consumed and drain our vital life energy if our mental formations about it are not healthy. As he spoke it became clear that this comedian Jack spoke with thinks that with Eastern philosophy, freeing yourself from feeling guilty or bad about sex = you can say/feel whatever you want because it’s a all natural/manly experience. There’s a lot more he has to learn, and yet a teacher like Jack didn’t offer him or the other listeners the opportunity.
