When I selected a podcast to supplement my studying and preparation for the GRE, I had no idea what I was choosing. And ooo-wee, was gold struck. Victor Prep really teaches you the words. In their entirety. The listener will quickly learn the history of a word, it's most frequent uses, and a goofy side story about the word. Sam’s word review will imbed itself in your brain so deep that you can not help but remember it. All around great show. It truly is amazing how memorable all these words are. I had been studying vocabulary for a while and I was really struggling to find a way to get myself to actually remember the words. But then I started to listen to this podcast and I was finally able to fully comprehend the words to the point where I was able to remember them. I also love how this podcast is only around 10 minutes so I’m able to keep up with them even on busy days. I really enjoy listening to this podcast and I look forward to the part in my day where I’m able to listen to it. I absolutely love the podcast!

Please stay around! :-) 2023: I am now in the process of studying for the LSAT and this podcasts helps me just as much! 2021: I am planning to take the GRE in the fall and I started listening to this podcast about a month ago. Sam makes understanding new words so easy and he also makes it fun! I listen to this podcast to/from work and I’ve already added so many new words to my vocabulary.

Haphazardly updated, but always good.

Thanks for these recordings, Sam. I enjoy listening to them while I do my daily home tasks. I am studying for the GRE & listening to these uploads helps me feel productive while I’m away from my computer. I catch myself giggling with you and find you quite charming! I like the way you structure your recordings by repeating the vocab words at least three times! Helps my brain grasp the word and definition better. The sentences at the end quizzes me and I appreciate how you repeat the word after your sentences. Thank you!

I started listening to this podcast on my way to work a few months out from taking the GRE. Did 1-2 episodes a day, starting with the first episode and got all the way to the end after a few months. The keys for remembering a word were intuitive and so helpful, and the big review episodes were great. This definitely beats using flashcards to study vocab, and I did really well on the GRE verbal combining this with Manhattan prep books! Highly recommend.

The only Vocabulary podcast that I enjoy. A podcast where the teaching style is authentic and organic. In this environment it is only natural to have a genuine learning experience. Sam has a delivery that makes learning new words easy and quite interesting. Examples, etymology, synonyms and more are provided for every word. Seriously the best. Infinite KUDOS to Sam Fold.

I have tried a couple different vocabulary podcasts as I prepare to take the GRE, and this is by far my favorite! The episodes are short and easy to follow, so I am able to learn and remember the vocabulary very effectively!

I’ve listened to a couple episodes and I’m hooked. I initially started using flashcards/flashcard apps to study but couldn’t really remember the words. Listening to Sam’s podcasts made such a difference! I listen to him while I’m driving then write all the words down when I get home. His explanations and examples are easy to understand and memorable. I highly recommend!

Currently in the process of studying for my GRE I take in 2 months. Sam is great and this is such a good way to learn words. The episodes are short and structured perfectly to where I can easily skip through them to quiz myself. Highly recommend you listen to help with the vocab portion of the GRE

I initially was using flashcards and was having a really difficult time retaining words. About 2 weeks before my test I found this podcast and it made such a difference, I wish I found it sooner! I listened to 1-3 a day and was actually retaining the definitions for once. Can’t recommend this enough!

This is such a useful tool for those who are busy trying to study for the GRE. I play the podcast on my way to work and it’s a great way to start the day. He has many clever ways to remember word definitions. Highly recommend this podcast to all.

I bought quite a few GRE flashcards to study for vocabulary, and it’s hard to find enough time to flip through all of them over and over again. I found this podcast, and listen to it driving on my way to work and in the shower and when I cook. It has made going through my flashcards so much easier because I have a better understanding of the majority of the words.

These podcasts have been so helpful. After trying other sources to learn vocab, this has been the BEST by far. I love how each podcast is 4 words and each preceding podcasts reviews the previous ones. So thankful to Sam and to have found this resource.

I enjoy Sam’s delivery of the words, his accent, and his little side notes on what is going on for that day. I am taking my GRE this year and I feel like Sam’s podcast is extremely helpful on incorporating words into my daily busy life.

Took the GRE a few times last year and struggled with vocab since English is not my first language. This podcast is uber helpful. I listen to 2-3 episodes on my daily runs. Learning has never been easier! Excited to see how my score improves this year.

Forgot all those apps and flash cards. He covers enough words here for you to do well on the test. The examples are good. Also, one small, but super helpful thing for me was the way he breaks down the words into parts. It helped me to remember words that likely would not have stuck in my brain with just a definition. Of course you need to do your own practice and repetition, but I found there were a lot more words that I could remember immediately after learning compared to alot of the words that I first learned through vocab apps.

Stumbled on your podcast and I just want to say thank you! As a busy, working mother, having dedicated study time is definitely a challenge. Being able to listen to your podcasts while I drive to work or do chores at home has helped me maximize what little time I have. The British accent is a splendid bonus! Lol

Definitely helpful for GRE! Listen to 3 on dog walks and (to Sam’s credit)I still retain most if not all vocabulary on review.

I listen while at work when I have mindless tasks to complete and by the end of the day I’ve learned 20 new words! But like really learned them, as in I remember definitions and could use them in a sentence weeks later. The format of the podcast is ideal for anyone who likes to learn by listening, rather than other traditional methods like flashcards.

I have been listening to Sam over a month now and study in the book Sam has covered too many Vocabulary so far and what I do is when I work on my laptop, cooking, walking, driving I listen to the podcast. Just like Sam said repetition is the mother of success I keep repeating the episodes until It come words in my everyday life usage. I also do just like Sam recommended is to write sentences as big as my imagination, and it is magical in fact. I was able to memorize too many words because I generated a very wired and strange sentence that can hit my mind more easily thank the academic sentence. Thank you very much Sam, my exam is next month. I will keep listening and I will keep listen to your instructions.
