I recently discovered the 602 club and it has quickly become a favorite podcast. Matt has an incredible knack for asking the guests engaging questions and responding to their comments in a kind and thoughtful way. He points out things he likes about what they said and adds his own thoughts. It is so refreshing to listen to. It has the added bonus of frequently talking about many of my favorite things. Thank you for giving us a positive and thought provoking podcast that we don’t have to worry about playing when the kids are around. Peace and long life!

602 Club quickly became a regular entry in my podcast rotation. I enjoy the analysis of new movies or shows, but I love revisiting older movies which maybe I hadn’t seen in years. 602 Club makes the classics feel fresh. Thank you for both the entertainment and thought provoking content.

Every Sci-Fi/ Fantasy fan should listen to The 602 Club. It covers a diverse library of pop culture movies and TV shows. I enjoyed the Amazing Spider-man and Batman movie reviews. You can tell the hosts are passionate about the topics discussed on this show.

I originally came to this podcast for the Star Wars but it quickly hooked me on so many other fandoms. Y’all are the best.

How did I find the 602 Club? Well, I’m afraid one night I had a few too many fuzzy tauntauns at the Outlander Club and stumbled out onto the street, hoping I could find some nerf burgers at Dex’s. And then I saw it: the 602 Club. I can’t quite tell you how I got there; the gentleman and lovely lady there kept insisting I was no longer on Coruscant. But no matter! What I found in that quaint little club on a place called “Earth” was far better than any nerf burger. I’d even go as far as to say that this show they put out—this thing they call a “podcast”—is like a nerf burger for the soul. P.S. Please don’t tell Dex I said your podcast is better than a nerf burger. He’s terribly sensitive about his burgers.

The 602 Club: A Geekery Speakeasy Podcast is such a amazing podcast and the best one of Trek.fm. The hosts Matt Rushing and other hosts on the podcast eposodes depending on the film , tv series and subject do a great job of reviewing said film and just make it fun for the listeners overall. If you like good podcasts this one is well worth your time to listen too !!!

I’ve been bingeing on a steady diet of the 602 Club lately and very much enjoy the thoughtful discussions across a wide range of nerdy delights. I especially like how the discussions focus on what is good and worthwhile in all of the reviews rather than what is wrong. It is refreshing to hear civil and respectful takes (and even polite disagreements) rather than constant complaints and criticism. I love the topics covered in this podcast! My favorite part, though, is how respectful each host is. They present their “certain point of view” without talking over each other or getting heated. It’s nice to hear normal conversations about things I love.

Matthew Rushing has basically the opposite taste in movies from me. He prefers things that are obtuse but ambitious over things that move and are fun. But I love getting aggravated while listening to Rushing's deep reads and against-the-grain criticisms. Good show.

I recently went back and listened to each episode 602 did on the StarWars films in the lead up to ForceAwakens. I loved everyone's takes on the movies, especially the prequels, which came out while I was in high school. This podcast is essential to Trek.fm and helps keep the wonderful Trek talk fresh by exploring other topics.

Matt Rushing and his guests have done it again! If you're a geek, you're going to find several episodes that cater to your fandoms. Whether it's Marvel, Star Wars, Bond films, etc, this is the podcast you'll want to add to your weekly listens.

While I don't necessarily watch all the films covered in this podcast, I always have fun listening to the discussion between the host and guests. I usually go back and watch whatever film they last discussed (I'm watching Thor: Dark World as I type) and pick up on a lot more because of 602 Club. It's a great addition to your podcast routine.

Once I discovered Trek FM had so many titles, I tried them all and to this day, find this is the one I will stop what I'm doing and get it in my ear. The intro 'soundtrack' is evocative and never gets old, even a bit haunting. A wide variety of topics, yet always within reach of anyone that loves ST. This week Iron Fist comes up, just when I'm in the middle of it. If you don;t know the topic, its still accessible, enjoyable. Great Job!

I used to host my own geek discussion show, but then I took an arrow to the knee. Now I listen to 602 Club to keep up with what's happening in geek entertainment. Matt and friends have great conversation on a variety of subjects, a great show to follow.

I found this podcast show a earlier this year and I've listened to ALL of them since then. Each show is unique and a joy to listen to. Finally, a show that celebrates all things geek in an open and fun way. I'm a huge scifi and fantasy person and to have a show that speaks about their joys for both is such a pleasure for me. I suggest to all who are looking for a show that will leave satisfied and excited for the future of geekdom, this is the podcast for you!!

Be prepared to have your rewatch list extended. The 602 club covers all corners of geek entertainment, from the depths of Middle Earth to the halls of Hogwarts. They do it a way that makes you want to visit those worlds you've never been to and revisit the ones you haven't been to in awhile. An all around great podcast.

The 602 Club is a general pop culture podcast on the Trek.fm network. I came to the network to expand my Trek fandom, but quickly found the 602 Club to be one of my absolute favorites. Where many podcasts either have a strict focus or a very general one, this one is the perfect balance. The format is conducive to easy listening: each episode is about a specific movie or television topic. It is easy to skip ones in which you aren’t interest…although that never happens. I love that they have many series running concurrently; it allows the listener to look forward to subsequent parts in the future. The hosts love what they’re talking about and are well researched beforehand. I was hooked with the Star Wars discussions, but love the LotR, James Bond, Harry Potter, and other breakdowns. There are many series left, I hope you guys keep it up a long time!

The 602 Club provides the same high quality conversations as other Trek.FM shows and covers movies, TV shows, and other genre entertainment besides Star Trek. Since the topics are so far-ranging, I do not tune in for every episode, but the ones I have chosen have all been fun. The guests add immeasurably to the experience, as it is not always the same people, and they all bring different perspectives to the conversation.

Loved your podcast with regards to Batman V Superman Ultimate Edition! I know the theatrical version was unpopular with a lot of people, but I enjoyed it. Glad, the Ultimate Edition seems to be getting better reviews. I'm happy that you're talking about this and other geeky things. I hope you all keep up the good work!

I'm NOT a podcast guy. I don't listen to a great deal of them, and those that I do, I rarely listen to every episode, as most are hit or miss, with an emphasis on the miss. My time is important to me, and I want to make the best use of it. The 602 Club is a welcome exception to the above; I listen to every episode, and each one is a winner, no matter what your special brand of fandom is: Star Trek, Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Bond, UNCLE, Harry Potter, whatever. Host Matt Rushing takes the time to examine both the positive and the critical angles for the subject at hand, and his choice of guests mirrors both the enthusiasm and the erudition for whatever they are talking about. No matter what flavor of fandom you're all about, the 602 Club can serve it up, piping hot via a great discussion that will leave you wanting more. Use your time wisely, and listen.

Matt and his guest hosts are great! Everyone is very knowledgeable in Geek and Nerd culture. And the sound quality is second to none.

This podcast is definitely in my rotation. Matt does a great job leading a discussion that (while nerdy) is never agonizingly geeky or pretentious. Just well rounded, thoughtful points by a host of guests who clearly have a mature admiration and knowledge for whatever subject is at hand. It's a well produced show that I would endorse to fanboys, filmmakers, or even general audience members for specific episodes. I also appreciate the willingness for each person to have a point of view without the panels devolving into an angry town hall meeting and that Matt never lets his view become the identity of the episode (a common podcast issue). Overall, the 602 Club is the definition of considerate discussion and a great prescription for the movies, books, and fantasies that linger between our ears long after the credits roll or book is closed.

I’ve listened to TrekFm’s podcasts for about a year now- trying to recommend one of their many shows over another is a difficult task: the variety of topics covered is as diverse as the quality of the discussions, on every aspect & facet of Star Trek but also Star Wars and the broader worlds of sci-fi and fandom in general. Perhaps the best way to describe how good and unique a network TrekFm is, isn’t just to point out the well rounded choice of subjects or quality of the broadcasts themselves, but to talk about the individual behind the network and what they bring to it: As an industry professional and a fan I’ve rarely encountered a group of people with the passion, dedication and energy the various hosts and producers of TrekFm imbue into their work. Not only do they put out great, intelligent and stimulating content on a regular basis and on their own time for their listeners, they do it fostering a positive spirit of camaraderie and community which is seldom found on the internet or anywhere else these days, and is a welcome reminder of why we came to love the things we do in the first place. If you’re not already listening to the 602 Club, Early Grey, Standard Orbit, Mission Log, the Orb, Warp 5 or many of the other great podcasts on the network, you won’t regret jumping on board.. And once you do you’ll only want more :)
