    The Laugh….I can’t.
Made it through two or three episodes. Content is good. Unfortunately, the laugh is unbearable. Every time I hear it, makes me jump.

    An essential listen!
This podcast was recommended by a friend and it doesn’t disappoint. Excellent banter between Wayne and Paul. Great lists and a lot of humor. Give it a shot!

    Always A Fun Time
Paul and Wayne never disappoint. Between the topics of each main show, the back and forth banter, and the review episodes they always deliver.

Best Movie Podcast on the Web
I've had the pleasure of sharing the mic with these gentlemen and you'll never find two hosts more passionate or knowledgeable about films- or more gracious and giving with their time or energy, especially Paul. Hands-down the best movie show on the web, indie or otherwise. Bloody love you gents. Always an amazing laugh. Thank you for years and years of great entertainment.

Great Concept. Minor issues for me.
Very cool concept. The hosts have great rapport and know their movies, but I have a hard time with Wayne’s laugh and the use of vulgarities.

and Hosting the Podcast of a Lifetime, Paul and Wayne
You can not manufacture twenty plus years of geniune friendship and that is what these fellas have. Moreoever, Paul offers insightful if not a bit harsh criticisms to film. Wayne offers sizzle with his infectious laughter and his deeply problematic humor.

    This laughter!!!!!!
It’s a good show but this one mans laughter is crunchworthy. You know when you hear it.

How can you not love this podcast, so great. The guys genuinely have fun talking movies, and sometimes TV, with each other. You can tell they have a passion for what they are doing and both of the guys, except Wayne, really know their stuff! (Sorry Wayne, I don’t know why it’s so fun to take a poke at you all the time, it’s out of love really). They also do a great job on the pod and on social media involving and interacting with the fans. If you like movies and you like to laugh this is the pod for you!
  • Journeytome
So entertaining, listen to all the episodes!
Wayne and Paul are so different yet very similar in their taste in movies and tv that it makes their lists that much more enjoyable. They have amazing chemistry and seem like the best friends we all wish we had. Every episode doesn’t fail to make me smile even in a post COVID world! Thanks guys for all that you do and please don’t stop releasing content! Appreciate you guys!

    They make my day(s)
Sometimes I double up on this podcast in my playlist (careful, Wayne). The soundboard makes my laugh. During the episode about hottest love scenes, I was surprised that they didn’t have a female guest, but even more surprised that every one of my picks was mentioned. It may be the fact that I grew up in the same era, but I really get them. Thanks for separating the reviews from the lists so I don’t get so many spoilers.

Helping me survive a Pandemic and an Earthquake
I started listening to the Countdown a couple months ago, and in that time my state has closed schools, libraries, restaurants, museums, churches and theaters due to the global pandemic. My husband’s masters concert was canceled, and he will now have to wait until at least the fall to graduate, meanwhile he is trying to figure out how to teach choir over the internet. My son had a swimming lesson a week ago. The day after, the rec center closed. We went to a movie on Saturday, making sure to sit at least 6 feet away from everyone else in the theater; a day later we were told to avoid groups larger than 10 people. On Monday I learned we shouldn’t even let our two young boys play on playground equipment or play with their friends. Yesterday I organized our food storage to make sure that we had enough for our little family and my elderly parents who live with us. And then today we had a 5.7 level EARTHQUAKE. This is the first earthquake I have ever experienced in my life, and today I had to try and to explain to my son why he shouldn’t be afraid while also explaining why we needed to hide under our kitchen table. And I have laughed EVERY DAY. Because every day I listen to your podcast to unwind from a day of scary news reports, rambunctious toddlers, empty store shelves, and cabin fever. Thank you Paul and Wayne for helping me think about something else for a little while each day. I am now working my way through all your old podcasts, and I have decided that even though I don’t swear myself, I find Australian swearing hilarious. I am a fan of Paul’s soundboard and Wayne’s bizarro laugh. And you have made me rethink my opinion on Armageddon (the movie not the current global situation). Thanks again.

    Laugh Out Loud Funny!
Wow what a great podcast! Paul and Wayne know how to make me laugh every week. I drive for my job and am in the car a lot of the day. What makes those drives a little easier is looking forward to this podcast. This show is one of the highlights of my week and I can hardly wait for the newest episode to drop. If you’re looking for a movie podcast that touches on every genre, and want to be entertained, then this podcast is for you! -A Mileur

    Where have you been?
The only thing I regret about this podcast is how long it took me to find it. Great insight into both movies and TV and each episode is so very funny. Can’t wait for each new episode! Wayne and Paul are fantastic. Thanks for all you do.

    Almost there
I'd like this show a lot more if they didn't intentionally try to anger each other in order to force comedy. Their quieter moments are actually some of their best since you can actually get a discussion on what they feel is right and wrong with a film.

These are the friends you are looking for!
I’ve been a listener and Patron to The Countdown for a while now and these guys are just the best. They make you feel like you’re just sitting around with friends discussing your favorite movies. I’m also a sucker for Australian accents and crass jokes, so it’s a win win. Do yourself a favor and give them a chance!

    A ton of fun
The chemistry between Paul and Wayne is the reason to listen. They usually talk about more mainstream films, and don’t go for the art house types, but it’s the chemistry that makes it so enjoyable. I never miss an episode, and rarely care about the review or topic, I just like listening to these guys talk about movies.

Wow. I just discovered these guys and I’m an instant fan. Great banter and personalities! Great audio! And I love the topics. The only down side is now I’m going to have to go back to the beginning and binge listen!!!

    The Countdown
In regards to the host with the unbearable shrill cackle. Do you think it might be possible to complete a sentence without using a vulgar adverb, verb, adjective, pronoun or noun. Good grief, you are embarrassing.

For Movie Fans and Those Who LIke to be Entertained
You don't have to be a movie fan to love this podcast, but it helps. But if all you want to do is laugh, and even learn a thing or two about a movie you may like, this is the podcast for you. I discovered it with the "gamechanging movies" list. Really fun. Check it out!

This is the best podcast in, and I’m not exaggerating here, TIME!
When people ask me what my top five favorite podcasts are, The Countdown is always on the list. I love you guys and you truly make my heart happy. You’re funny, very casual, and always entertaining. Your podcast is literally a roller coaster of emotions from complete frustration at Paul and his ludicrous ways of trying to get around the prompt (still love ya, man) , to heart exploding love at Wayne’s epic girliness (which we adore), to laugh out loud, tears rolling down my face hysterics at Paul and Wayne ragging on each other constantly. I love every second and wouldn’t change it for the world. Keep up the good work guys. Also, ugh, soundboard.

    The best (AROUND!!!)
The countdown has easily become my favorite podcast I listen to. I’ve been listening for nearly 6 months now and the show never looses steam. Paul and Wayne’s hilarious banter and insight make it a blast to listen to. They have expanded more cursing vocabulary and make me laugh every Tuesday. They interact with the listeners and each show is its own adventure. Love them both (even though Wayne is a moron most for the time).

    Top Notch Entertainment Pod
Countdown does the movie and TV pod genre well. The segments are simple and enjoyable. The lists are fun and can take the listener off on their own tangents. Some examples: What qualifies as a cyborg? Do alien movies count as disaster movies? The conversations are like listening to your own friends discussing the latest new releases or old favorites. Plus, the hosts have great personalities and voices that carry the show.

    Best of the Best
What can I say about these guys? I started listening to Paul and Wayne a year ago and have almost made it through every episode. There's something special in each of them. With a geniune care for film and a friendship take brings some hilarious moments, I can honestly say The Countdown is one of my favorite shows.

What happens with one rational host and one bonkers host? Well in this case its amazing!

    Fast-paced and funny
The first thing I think of when I think of this show is FAST. Both of these guys are quick-witted and so much of their interplay is extremely rapid-fire. They sound extremely polished and used to working together. Their shows are each centered around a top ten countdown, but they also feature reviews, banter, and just generally humorous back-and-forth. It's an absolute blast, and they have perfected their formula and their dynamic. Wonderful stuff!

    The Down Under Countdown
I like the pocast's Ausie perspectives, it is a fresh look for an American listener like myself. The episodes are mostly top 10 countdowns on movie topics. Paul and Wayne each make their own list and then they countdown to the number. The show has a few other sections, like reviewing a movie. I especially enjoy the sound bites they add into show. Most are pretty funny and add to the hosts making fun of each other. The hosts have the chemistry of good friends hanging out and having a good time. I usually do not like list podcasts, but I found a few moviers to add to my watch lists. I also look forward to copying Paul's writing to movie scores idea. Thanks Paul! Keep up the good work!

    I LOVE THESE GUYS!
Paul and Wayne are fantastic people and hosts. If you are a movie lover, you’ll want to check this show out not only for the excellent commentary but also the hilarious banter. They’re both knowledgeable and a great resource when I need an opinion on a new release or older movie. Highly recommend these guys to anyone!

You know what’s better than 200 reviews?
A BILLION REVIEWS I hope Wayne gets better soon because you guys have grown on me. Every time I forget there’s more to The Countdown than clowning around with the soundboard, one of you will hit me with a statement about film that could’ve come out of my own mouth. Or, even better, one that should’ve but hasn’t yet. Fun and insight - what more can you ask for?
