5eeeeeeeeMaybe with new hostsI’ve listened to a handful of episodes; interesting topics, but the hosts are too unlikable for me to continue with it.

Midwestern ExileBrings enviro research to lifeOne of the best scholarly podcasts out there. Dominic and Cymene bring cutting edge research across the environmental humanities to life through meaty, entertaining, idea-driven conversations with authors, artists, activists, and more.

Sei BabiA pleasureUnlike most academic podcasts, Cultures of Energy captures some of the actual joy of talking about ideas. Also unlike most academic podcasts, this show has hosts with a personal touch, a strong point of view, and real rapport. Strongly recommend.

forkenhimerExcellent podcast! If you are into science and technology studies, globalized energy systems, infrastructure, environmentalism, ecology, or the social impacts of climate change, this is a podcast for you! I got hooked on these folks when they interviewed one of my favorite political economy academics- Timothy Mitchell of Columbia University- on the politics of fossil fuels. Mitchell's CoE episode is the best recorded interview I've come across with the author. His ideas are complicated, and nearly impossible to distill into a single conversation. I immediately knew the hosts were pros, because they managed to (figuratively) bring him down from outer space and explore his work in an accessible way. I wish I had listened to this interview before I nearly broke my brain trying to understand Mitchell's books, honestly... Since then, they have introduced me to several really amazing thinkers on some of the most inscrutable topics in the world today. Dominic and Cymene are approachable, but never afraid to delve beneath the surface. Highly recommended!!!

Jeffrey InskoBrilliantGreat conversations with an extraordinarily impressive lineup of guests helping to make the anthropocene intelligible (and fun!).. Cymene and Dominic conduct rich, stimulating, lively interviews. This is great listening.

Andrew McGrathBest podcast in anthropology and beyondThis podcast is both uncannily familiar and dazzlingly intense, namely because of the mix of non-self conscious dialogue between Cymene and Dominic and the emergent discourses this show gives a platform to through astounding interviews. It is the place I point friends to when they want to know what the humanities and social sciences can contribute to existential and everyday problems. Never stop

OwmyearsOne of my favsFantastic interviews on the anthropology of energy and more. One technical (or let's say infrastructural) bug. The levels on the theme song and other non-dialog audio don't match the microphones. I always have to crank up the volume on my headphones to hear the interviews, and then my eardrums are exploded by the crazy electric zap-noise that closes each episode. Please fix!
