I like this music podcasts best as it does not stick to one artists or one genre and goes through the whole album. The back catalogue is worth checking out. I’ve discovered and rediscovered artists or albums and look forward to every week’s new one.

Just now thru this podcast and Joey’s book “Punk under the Sun” am I now being introduced to many of the bands from the 80s South Florida Music Scene…oh well better late than never right? Thank you all very much for that 🎸🏆👍

Rob and his guests do a great job of taking a deep dive right into their favorite records. It’s a fun conversation between music junkies and a must listen for both those familiar and unfamiliar with the album du jour.

Very good dissection of Matthew Sweet’s Girlfriend album. Would be interesting for you to cover a Richard Lloyd solo album. Just saw him live in New Haven; he still has it; great band.

I really enjoy TRGMH which is always entertaining, no matter the record or the guest. Rob does a good job keeping the conversation going and focused on the music. Pick a record from the episode list and jump in! If you're a real music fan, you'll find something you like I like to yell at my computer when they make a historical mistake or like a bad record.

I used to feel weird about secretly looking down on people whose musical tastes differed from mine, but now I realize it's the only way one can be sure their opinions are valid. That Record Got Me High bravely goes where few podcasts have gone before. Now, when my friends mention a band I don't like I can fully judge them without remorse. Thank you!!

Typically, a guest will break out a record that DID IT for them, so you're getting the PASSION of music aficionados discussing what they love. I've been turned on to GREAT music that I somehow missed out on, and whether I like the music or not, I've loved every podcast.

It’s inspiring to hear these guys talk about great albums of independent rock and the albums that inspired these bands too. It gives me a whole new appreciation for music I love. Great details, chances to learn what the actual lyrics are and stories about the absurdities of the makings of these albums—all included! I want to give it an extra star for the Billy Taylor name drops!!!
