anonymous123445677028282Great coaches, Great conversationI had the pleasure of being on this podcast as a guest and even greater pleasure getting to know Julie and Lisa outside of this podcast and I know how committed they are to helping runners cross the finish line with smiles on their faces. If you are just starting out or are a season runner, looking for support, check out their coaching services and this podcast!

DaveC in MDEpisode 230Loved this interview. She has such a positive attitude about success and failure. There is so much to be learned from this mindset.

BoraLusoIt has everything!RF&F motivates & entertains. From tips on choosing winter gear, structuring a training block, helpful race day considerations, running scene chatter, working toward LT goals such as a BQ, sharing motivational running journeys, Lisa and Julie make learning how to take rec level running to new heights more accessible and fun.

SkipLaurelI’m hookedI’ve only listened to a few episodes so far (and have saved some of those to listen to again!) Will be going back in time to catch up on every episode. Thank you for giving me the content I needed!
-
GLI_DCAmazing podcast for runnersI am training for my first half marathon and have found this podcast so helpful. Their focus seems to be on marathoners but their great attitudes, knowledge, and relevant guests (docs, dieticians, psychologists, other runners) makes this an interesting listen for all runners of all levels. I’m totally hooked!
-
dbhealthwellnessMy favorite running podcastLong time listener here and still continue learning more from them! I really enjoyed the most recent underfueling episode and all nutrition episodes in general. I appreciate all of their guests and their wisdom.
-
MyArizonaAdventureA Great Running PodcastThis is a great running podcast, with just the right amount of running chatter and running information. I enjoyed listening to an episode while on part of my long run this weekend.

The GabinatorMust listen to podcast for runners of all abilities! This is a newer review because I had to come back and say how much I love this podcast (note to Apple let people review again). I did start listening because of wanting to re-qualify (and they are good friends), but they also cover running in all aspects for everyone. I have learned from how perimenopause can impact runners to why one only should wear super shoes for racing (did that already) and so much more. Keep it up Julie and Lisa! You have a lifelong listener in me!
-
ewinks20Add to your podcast rotationI would recommend listening to the Farther and Faster Podcast to both new and experienced runners. The information coaches Julie and Lisa provide is always based in science and their extensive experience both running and coaching. They have an easy back and forth interview style that is enjoyable to listen to on a run. The guests they have on the podcast are varied and always bring something new to the conversation. It’s a must listen!

Runwme100Honest Information that’s not pretentiousI heard about this podcast on, of all places, Reddit. As a 46-year-old female runner, I appreciate the perspectives of both women & value their sincerity. I’ve been a runner for over 20 years & I’m still learning so much from these two. I also like that they are picky about their sponsors & the first 5 minutes isn’t filled with ads. Well done, ladies. Keep the sincere, honest & informative content comin’.

CarrieMRochesterGreat advice and support for runnersCoaches Julie and Lisa have a great podcast for runners of all distances and ages. I started listening to them when I was training for my first Boston three years ago and they helped me lessen my nerves and feel confident and prepared for the race. I loved it so much I sought out their personal coaching and now Julie is my coach. They have very practical advice about all parts of running and their friendship is evident. Their useful tidbits, knowledge about many race courses, focus on health, running for oneself and informative guests all always a part of my long run!
-
motter27Great information, terrific hosts!Julie and Lisa provide great information and guests. I love their friendship and the stories they share.

Trail houndMy favorite running podcast: Run Farther & Faster gets realI’ve listened to a lot of running podcasts for several years. Run Farther & Faster stands above the rest in terms of interesting interviews that go beyond the usual “making the rounds” subjects. Lisa and Julie don’t overwhelm the show with patter but provide a nice intro into their own lives as runners, coaches and working mothers that makes me feel like I’m running with virtual BRFs. And they’re not so virtual anymore—after listening to the show three years ago I signed on as a coaching client. They’ve done a great job keeping this older runner strong and age-group competitive. Real guidance for real life.
-
GBakoulisI learn & I smileI love this podcast! Thanks Julie and Lisa for sharing your insights and wisdom, and your real life experiences. I’ve been so inspired in my Boston Marathon training!
-

RSK5678InspirationalJulie and Lisa are real, funny, and practical. I love listening to their stories and tips. Highly recommend.
-
OldManWinter!InspiringThis podcast is incredible but this particular focus on Coach Lisa and her accomplishment with her son at the Pan American Maccabee games was truly inspiring! To achieve gold 20 years apart is amazing! Beyond this particular show, Julie and Lisa put together such a great show with amazing guests! Thank you for your continued inspiration to me and so many others! Can’t wait for the next episode!
-
MicahrabbiMy favorite go-to!I love listening to Julie and Lisa! I get great tips, terrific interviews, and it feels like they are invested in the running community. Great podcast!!

-
ClsdunnBalm for the heartListening to the episode that talks about how little changes make a big difference in training was balm to my broken heart (after a really hard marathon that didn’t go the way I planned). Concrete useful tips paired with compassion!
-
PregnantChickAs a mom and casual runner, this podcast makes me betterI’m never going to be an elite athlete, but this podcast helps make me better. The hosts are relatable and provide great tips for improving at any level.

CourtneyOLouI came for info on Boston but found much much more valueI truly credit Lisa and Julie for preparing me to run the 2022 Boston Marathon (achieving a lifelong athletic dream). I continue to listen because these coaches provide so much value that help me continue to improve as a masters runner. The episode topics can be very race specific (thanks for the insight on MCM!) or more thought provoking about how we interact with training and this sport in the context of our lives. Thanks so much for all you do to connect every day runners with expert advice from you both and your guests.
-
savepalesaniansEpisode 175I like your show very much but did not at all appreciate Mr. Rosen’s sarcastic tone about Saudia Arabia! I am from Egypt and I was a 19 years old girl in ‘89 and I used to run on the streets and had no problems at all, yet I would still respect the Saudi’s culture! Rest assured there are runners from all Arab countries who are listening to this podcast as well. I would still give your podcast five stars though!

funinfundraisingGreat podcast!Lisa and Julie have been inspiring me for years. This episode is like listening to the final game of the World Series - announced by Phil Rizzutto ! Whether you are running your first road race or your 19th Boston Marathon- I promise that you will take away some gems for Race Day from episode 168!
-

-
Juliann427The best running podcast!Offering great advice for all levels of runners based on their expertise and experience as coaches, Lisa and Julie also host a wide range of guests and experts from the running community to share their stories and knowledge. Amanda J4412Great as alwaysI love listening to this podcast on my runs or back and forth to work. I always look forward to the next episode. I have only ran 1 marathon but have ran many half marathons, 15k/10k/5ks. Love learning more from others. Keep up the get work and thank you for the motivation.
-
Bruce McFun informativeI enjoy listening to the 2 girls talk running. They get good interesting people for interviews. Lots of good running information from two experienced coaches.
-
KristjanaCLike running with friends!I’m a long time off and on listener but I got hooked over the winter and even signed up for a coaching package! Lisa & Julie are wise and savvy when it comes to interviews, running advice, tough love, and tactics. Listening to them on my morning runs has taught me so much and brought me lots of joy! :) PS - if you’ve got a running goal or a race you’re prepping for I highly recommend signing up for one on one coaching… never before have I felt so cared for and carefully monitored as I do with them. I’m a certified coach myself and while I’m great coaching others I always stink at coaching myself. It’s been worth every penny!!
-
carolruns1010Lisa and Julie are superstars!I have been listening to this podcast for a while now. I am not one of their clients but they always are willing to answer my questons and offer helpful suggestions. They provide great information not only for Boston but information any runner would find useful.
-
Bridget LeskoFavorite Running PodcastI’ve been listening to Lisa and Julie since 2020-it is my go-to podcast for everything running. They are amazing coaches and women. Highly recommend this podcast for all types of runners-new, veterans, short distance, endurance athletes. Love them!

Marathon_Mom_26.2Love this podcast!I stumbled upon this podcast last week in preparation for my first Boston marathon. I am a seasoned runner and have run 27 marathons, including at least one on all 7 continents (yes, even Antarctica) and 5 Abbott World Marathon Majors, but I am already learning so much from Lisa and Julie. I enjoyed the episode with the physical therapist and especially the advice of not running as many days for those 50 and older. I’m not there yet, but it’s approaching. I have had overuse injuries and hurt my Achilles while training for London, so I backed off to running 3 days a week and allowing 2 days of recovery after a long run before running again. It seems to be working for me, as I ran the Tokyo marathon a few weeks ago in a pretty good time for me. I enjoyed the episode with Cherie and will start listening to her podcast on women’s stories. Finally, I loved the mile by mile breakdown of the Boston marathon episode. I feel mentally prepared after listening to it. Boston will be my 6th AWMM, so I look forward to crossing the finish line and earning my 6th star. Thanks for all the fantastic advice!

PSUShoe24Early morning runs with my headphones! Most of the time I am listening to an audiobook or music while doing my early morning runs. Every now and again, I will pull up a podcast from Julie and Lisa. I always find that it hits home and I learn new things or review things I’ve already been told, and need to remember! I just love listening to the Boston podcast from about a week or two ago. The review of each mile and each city! I have worked with these ladies years ago and realize how helpful and honest they are! I am so glad everything pulled together for me, and I will get to run Boston next month!! I did run it as my second marathon in 2008. I’ve been trying my hardest to requalify and finally did with a PR! Excited to see them at the expo and join their shakeout run.
-
DreaG98My favorite podcast!Hi Julie and Lisa! I was going through a rough time in my training last year for my first Boston when my daughter suggested I find a good running podcast. I searched for Boston podcasts and found you. No doubt you coached me through the remainder of my training. Your podcasts describing the race weekend were exactly what I needed to get me through the training and made me feel very excited. I felt very prepared as I arrived in Boston last year. The race was exactly as you had described and it could not have gone better. I have listened to every episode (several more than once) and look forward to every new episode as they come out. You always remind me to take it SLOW on my easy days and it’s just what I need to hear. The miles go quickly as I listen to you and your guests talk about all things running! I have learned so much. I am hoping to see you in Boston at your live show at the expo. I am feeling strong and ready and hoping for another PR. Thanks for all you do! You two are awesome!
-
alligoobGoodGreat info but as a new listener, it would be nice to have a little intro at the beginning of a new episode. I felt like I couldn’t jump in at a random episode because they just launch right in vs introducing themselves and the topic for the episode. Seemed a little scattered because of that.
-
JK52bostonMust listen to podcastLook forward to it every week , the insight to help even an experienced runner is great . A must for any runner , their Boston experiences and assistance are amazing
-

Abigail OjedaFor runners who want to be self-compassionateRunning often demands so much self-motivation, which can easily turn into self-judgement. This podcast won’t let me start that narrative with myself. Since becoming a regular listener a year ago, I have become a more compassionate runner, which means running with myself has gotten a lot better. Also, Julie and Lisa are really experienced runners, but their enthusiasm and joy about running is what makes their qualifications shine. I’ll be a first-time Boston Marathon runner this April, and the information I got from this podcast is stellar and has tremendously boosted my confidence. At the same time, I know that listening along has also helped me to be a better person and to like myself more. And isn’t that extra push in the right direction what we all need?
-
Maxcraft430You help motivate me.Please have on “Paul and Sasha” from “Community News with Paul and Sasha”. Paul walks 20 miles a day, but Sasha really needs help. I think you can help her. Keep up the great work on this show.

Jay from DCThe gold standard for podcastsJulie and Lisa are terrific. Since this is a podcast rooted in the Boston Marathon, it’s not surprising that they have experience, credentials and tips to help anyone prepare for a successful race. But there are a lot of people out there with Boston Marathon creds. So what I really appreciate most about them is that they are down-to-earth and approachable running coaches who are human: they’re not perfect, they’re open about their own struggles and setbacks. I never feel intimidated by them like I often do when listening to other running podcasts. They’re self-deprecating. They’re funny and their strong friendship is genuine. I simply enjoy listening to them and I’m grateful that they share their knowledge and passion for running with us listeners. Add in their interesting and expert guests that cover diverse topics related to running, health, nutrition, etc., this podcast is 5-star.
