Horror podcast addict here and this podcast is one of the best. Such amazing writing, well-rounded topics, a little lighter weighted stories here and there to keep you from drowning in the horror (Squash made me squirm). Worth every second.

Hi! I’m an 11 almost 12 year old with an unnatural obsession with horror, I loved this podcast after the 1st episode! This is a great podcast… I really enjoy listening while drawing and relaxing 😁

This podcast is alright but too many long ad breaks that loudly interrupt the story. Shopify has got to be the most annoying ad on these podcasts. I loathe their ads. Stories aren’t good enough to suffer through the ads IMO

This podcast has turned into one of my favorites. The stories are riveting, haunting, yet somehow relaxing. His voice and storytelling relax me at the end of the day!

The narration is beautifully done, so I want to give props to that. His voice is soothing and the pacing is immaculate. But the most impressive part to me is the abundance of incredible, creative writing. No two unconnected stories are alike. The ideas are refreshing and unique. I can’t believe one person has written all these wonderful stories. Some are scary. Some are touching. All are remarkably engaging. I know this is an effusive review, but I genuinely cannot believe that someone with this level of talent is kindly sharing it in the podcast world for all to consume. These are unpleasantly uncertain times and this podcast, the way it transports the listener, is what’s keeping me grounded. Truly a perfect podcast.

I read this response in someone else’s review and it’s probably the best response. Good and spooky. Could be longer, but it’s original content. This guy isn’t just reading. He’s conceptualizing, considering researching and contextualizing. This is real work and it seriously SO REFRESHING when it’s not literally the same stories I’ve heard in at least one if not three other podcasts. This guy’s going to have his own best selling novel or movie eventually. I’m pretty sure that’s what he wants and he’s got the chops.

I love this podcast so much! I hate waiting for new episodes because they are just so good I’ve listened to all of them so every time he comes out with a new one I have to wait 😭I really recommend this podcast! It’s the best of all time.

Admittedly, I skipped over this podcast before thinking it was too boring but boy was I wrong. I came back to this podcast recently and every story has had me on the edge of my seat. I can’t get enough. I just know there are people who have seen me reacting in my car probably thinking I’m a complete nut.

I’m so happy to find this wonderful podcast, but I had to add one negative thing. I went on his Patreon page to become a member believing I would be getting no ads while listening. But even after paying, I still continue to get the ads? I don’t even know how or who to go to solve this.

Great for kids and free the best

My 10yr old loves scary-ish stories. Finally I don’t have to police and fast forward . Awesome voice actor, isn’t blaring commercials every 45 secs while we are winding down to go to sleep. No bad words, No nightmares! I trust he can listen to this alone without any consequences. And it’s easy listening without me having to answer a bunch of questions. I have many horror podcasts I listen to, like HORROR. but now this is the only one I listen to, I look forward to laying down with my boy before he falls asleep. Thank you!! Don’t change a thing!

I love the stories. But I have 2 complaints. 1.) The stories need to be longer so we can really get into them! Right when it’s getting good, it’s over! 2.) You mess up the entire vibe of the story when there’s a sudden commercial break right in the middle! I mean come on now, you can do commercials before and after; don’t mess with the tension your building!

I’ve tried listening to so many horror story podcasts. So sick of creepy pasta vibes and bad writing. If you want to listen to something worth your time, The Warning Woods is it!

This episode gave me exactly what this character lact, hope. Your dialogue line, sadly describing mine exactly I've said those words many times. I get up. I exist and wait for bed. Then I always hope for a different day but it hasn't happened. You may not believe me and think I'm just BSing you but I'm not. Thank you for sharing this story. Lauren❤️

Am I crazy or does the most recent story (The Subway) seem to excuse shooting a cop? There’s never a good reason to shoot another human being, let alone a cop who’s doing their job, especially when a person is running from them or resisting arrest. Who ever chooses the stories had to do better

A man with deep familial insecurity writes this. A man afraid of the natural beauty of the trees and desperate to lick some cop's boot if that cop is willing to shoot any dark moving shadow at night to make him feel safe.

A great podcast to indulge in. Just be quiet and scared on a dreary evening. Listen non stop. Great great great!!

So glad I found this podcast. Mike’s voice is perfect for telling the stories. And I can’t believe he writes all of them too. Keep up the great work!

I can’t believe he comes up with sooo many creative, fleshed out, creepy short stories and posts reliably and frequently. Itypically prefer more “cozy” horror but I’m hooked AND scared and I love it. I did initially stop listening because the stories were so short I would have to fiddle with my phone during my commute (when I typically listen) but when I heard they became longer form I skipped ahead. Interesting creative horror that seems to come from a never ending well. When I catch up I’ll scoot back to the beginning.

I can easily say this is my favorite fiction podcast. The stories are so good and mysterious, some are shorter than others which is perfect for when I just need something short like 15 minutes to listen to. Great podcast for anyone who loves spooky stories.

I hate horror cause I get so scared but I love it cause of the rush of adrenaline. This podcast is perfect for me because its never boring and sometimes it make me so scared. It’s honestly the best horror podcast I have ever listened to. I have listened to every episode since I started listening in December 2023 and wait every week for a new one to air. Please never stop.

I stumbled upon this pod by accident. I listened to 1 story & I was hooked! Listened to every episode in 3 days! So glad i found it. The just tells creepy stories & has a great voice.

I found it by simply searching something scary and entertaining and listened to one of the latest first - I was hooked immediately. Went all the way to the first episode and binge listened to the earlier short stories and then enjoyed with great pleasure the progress in length, quality and level of storytelling. Bravo!

While a multi-ep plot is satisfyingly wrapped up for the “holidays”, he goes and does something like Twins. Unreal. I feel it’s def one of (if not, THE) most scary and well written stories he had ever debuted. Thank you Miles.

Slowly making my way through the back log. I love how there are no terrible sound effects that pull you out of the story like a lot of horror podcasts use. The stories themselves are great too!
