SorensoundHypocrisy / Libelous Accusations/ Love BombsHosts call for the cancellation of anyone accused of bad behavior in most cases with zero hard evidence or legal judgements. That happens up until Episode #21 where they talk about their own prior bad behavior. Then it’s all about understanding, forgiveness, awe shucks learning, and only in this episode are they reasonable. If the hosts held themselves to the standards they espouse on every other episode, there wouldn’t be a podcast. Virtue signaling at its worst, no matter who they set out to permanently destroy, there is zero forgiveness for anyone else, and zero facts / real names are ever presented. Also, there was a Episode #54 with The Love Bombs that was immediately pulled and never talked about because there are constantly libelous accusations on this show and someone stood up for themselves legally. They replaced #54 with their Greatest Hits, the Anti-Flag story.

KTMD03It started strong…It was good at the start and I’m glad these kinds of discussions are being had, but I’ve noticed that in more than a few episodes, Kendra tries to be funny when she really isn’t. It gets tiresome and annoying especially in the context of a serious discussion about heavy subject matter.

Mer chanSlanderSlander is a crime and should be treated as such. If you have an allegation go to the police and get these there people charged otherwise you are just distorting and destroying lives for your own benefit.

JosharmacostOffensiveThe host minimizes survivors of violence and abuse with her story. I’m sure that is not her intent but whatever good intentions she has are outweighed by this. I was personally offended and sickened after hearing her story in episode 2 This host says it’s wrong to compare or ask questions about her story while advertisements are read in an attempt to profit off this. Very suspicious and offensive behavior to me.

Vanessa241Much Needed & Fantastically Done! This podcast has been so needed and it’s fantastically done! Both hosts have great voices and do a great job introducing the stories. Can’t wait to hear more. Editing to add that all the one star reviews are after an abuser was called out for his actions and are from his defenders. Gross.

Ababy158Safe Space & Real DiscussionsI absolutely love this podcast! It’s real, it’s vulnerable, and it’s the ugly truth. While many don’t want to hear the topics discussed, it’s important that they do and this is a great safe space to do so. Thank you for your writing, your work, and your dedication towards making a positive impact, the world needs more people like y’all and more survivors strong enough to share their truth.

YoufdThank youThank you for intentionally making space for survivors and healing. This conversation is critically important for us to be able to transform the communities in which we live & play to being ones that prioritize presence & well being. Nothing is more punk than taking down the patriarchy ✌️

alisonrose.Thank you!!I adore you both for taking this stance and being vocal about the importance of listening. It’s not an easy or palatable subject, but it’s so important. 💜

SilentmusiqueThese conversations need to be had and need to be shared.Listening to the first episode was like listening to countless stories I’ve heard throughout the years of being around and involved in the music scene. (And frankly, countless stories outside of the music scene.) Stories that - if podcasts as amazing like this existed at the time - would maybe not have been the norm or so prevalent. We need to share and talk to each other. We need to stand up for creating a better community where we don’t feel threatened or excuse/ignore people being threatening. We need to cultivate a culture that allows us to grow and do better. To be better. This podcast truly aims to start that by vulnerable and brave human beings sharing their stories. Thank you for creating this gateway to a better humanity.

Pepto DismalEnough.I hope that this podcast is a step to creating a safe and inclusive scene and community that no longer requires the existence of a show centered on the testimonials of people’s terrible experiences. This is podcast is a reckoning, and a long time coming.

StebanezeThis is importantOnce episode in and this podcast already sheds light on really important issues regarding sexism and assault in the diy scene. It’s painful to realize how many shared experiences I can relate to in just this episode. Looking forward to more important conversations so we can make the music scene safer and more accepting.
