Alyssa StaufferShelby for Codex VOI love this podcast and the knowledge and theories that you guys bring to each discussion. I’m not caught up yet but I’m enjoying listening to the back log, and I’ve been meaning to leave this review for awhile, but now that I’m playing Veilguard, I felt compelled to let you know that I’m hearing all the new codex entries in Shelby’s voice.

pr0ziTrying to catch upI came across this podcast at the perfect time, with DA4 coming up I realized I haven't played Dragon Age since 2021 and everything I knew was nearly wiped from my brain. The hosts are informative and provide good commentary and their own perspectives on historical events and characters in DA. I've had fun listening to these episodes while I'm doing chores or work and I'm now excited to play DA actually knowing what the characters are talking about.

Star Eyed GirlReturning fan highly recommendsAlthough I’ve been a fan of Dragon Age for nearly 10 years now, I’ve been recently getting back into the series with the impending release of Veilguard. Shelby and Austin have been so helpful in getting me caught up on everything I’ve missed and/or forgotten.

ArtemisJadisTruly enjoyable!Austin and Shelby make playing the games feel like new! I have played Inquisition more times than I can count, and still I hear more and more new things about it in every episode! I had never played the first two, but im changing that and am working on my first Origins playthrough! I am so appreciative to The Cups for making these awesome games even more awesome! I can’t wait to hear their takes on the new game when it comes out! If you haven’t listened to them, you should start! Thanks for all you do and for making a lorecast that really speaks to me!

ShadowLavellanCan’t get enough of this podcast!Where has this podcast been all my life?! This podcast is everything I could want in a podcast about Dragon Age. I have had a profound love for BioWare games since I started playing Origins on the 360 in 2017. The hosts do an exceptional job at researching and explaining the lore in each episode. I love hearing about their insight into the lore they discover. I work in a warehouse for 10-11 hours a day and I am happy to listen and learn more about Dragon Age every day. I am currently in season 3 and have a lot of catching up to do, but I can’t wait to hear their thoughts on Veilguard. I can’t get enough of Dragon Age and after discovering this podcast, that love has grown even more. For anyone who is looking for more about Dragon Age, this podcast is for you. I can’t recommend it enough and hope more people discover them. And as His Majesty King Alistair says, to those who made that choice, swooping is indeed bad.

MarilynDakariosGet ready for DAD…. I mean DAV by learning everythingI just finished binging the entire backlog and I guess that means I have to join the discord. Bear with me. I don’t quite understand Discord. This podcast fed my hyper fixation for weeks. I highly recommend.

Duchess of MontsimmardObsessedI am currently going through a period of obsession over Dragon Age lore. I’ve played all the games, read and watched all the tie-in media, and I’m currently going through every codex entry from the games. And even after all that I still learn new lore from this podcast with almost every episode. While I disagree with some of the ideas the hosts have on certain lore aspects (mainly Orlais, I love Orlais) I always feel like the thoughts they share are well informed and interesting. Keep up the good work! I’ll leave you with my favorite DA quote, from the girl boss herself: “Sitting on my throne, I see every city in the empire. If I must burn one to save the rest, I will weep, but I will light the torch!”

Ac9624The Lone wolfHi guys!! I’m Adrian and I’ve been a fan of dragon age since origins came out! I’m 23 years old as of May 2023. An I’m currently stuck on play dai, I’ve tried to get the others but I couldn’t. I’ve played them before but I just want to replay them. Currently in the play through of Dai I’m playing as a Female elf named Velissana who happens to be a mage. She’s straight up and tells you the truth wether you like it or not. She’s started a relationship with Cullen, sided with the templars and trying her best to be friends with everyone on her team. At first her and Cassandra didn’t get alone but as time went they became good friends. Shes soon to be either be going to the grand ball or meeting hawke and stroud at the western approach. Will she drink from the well when it comes to it? Or will she let morrigan. (I’m slowly making progress in the game so I’m doing war table quests and a lot of side missions). Other then that your guys podcast makes my days especially when I’m at work. I work late so this keeps me very entertained and getting me thinking what choices should I make and who really is the bad guys. At first I really though the templars were bad but as you get to know them and learn about them they’re just misunderstood. Thank you guys for making this podcast! I can’t wait to listen to more and I have a question… what do you guys think is going to happen to the world of Thedas and what classes would you guys play in DW

RawDollFinally caught up!As the title says I've finally caught up, I love the vibes of the pod and getting to learn extra bits of lore. I am excited to see where things continue to go from here. You two are greatly appreciated!! Thank you for doing what you do.

StanMC42Loremasters!After seeing info about Dreadwolf, I decided to replay the games to prep, but was craving a deeper dive into the world. I found the Lorecast, which has tons of awesome information from the depths of Dragon Age’s lore. So far, it’s been a great resource, and I’ve been listening to it on my commute (or while I’m fighting in Origins!). Highly recommend if you’re at all interest in the lore of the games.
-
Gyr8rGreat listen! 10/10 would recommend!Love listening to this while working! As a huge fan of BioWare and Dragon Age it’s awesome to dive see into the lore of the world, plus it saves me the time of reading it. The Cups do a great job at conversing and breaking down the lore in a way that can’t be matched!

BrendiRose0419Best Podcast ever!!!!I am fairly new to the podcast world. I thought all podcast were more about everyday life but while playing inquisition with a friend they told me about the video game side of podcasts. With the fun purple background and the amazing music this podcast had me in the first five seconds. Then I hear the funny banter between Shelby and Austin and I knew this was going to be something I binged. Thank you guys for doing such an amazing podcast can’t wait for the episodes to come!

PLAGUE_6_More more more!!!This is the best DA podcast out there! I would love to hear more content from this podcast! Amazing work!
-
amrl13Love itI'm only at the end of season 1 but I'm obsessed with this podcast. I'm starting my next playthrough of all of the games in order to get ready for Dreadwolf and I decided to start this as well and I'm glad I did! I definitely consider myself a super fan and I'm still learning so much. PS Austin and Shelby do you wanna be friends? haha
-
LVCC13Everything I never knew about ThedasI absolutely love this podcast, I have learned so much about Dragon Age that I didn’t know, and it makes playing the games even more fun! Austin and Shelby are so great to listen to, I’ve told all my friends who play DA to listen to this podcast. 5 stars is not enough!

lizzyb003A podcast that's speaks to me soulI found you guys a bit later so I'm only about halfway through everything you guys have put out now but I am in love! It's the perfect thing to bridge the gap between replaying all the games and the (what feels like forever) wait for the next game in the series. I find myself listening to the podcast anytime I'm in the car or at the gym. You guys definitely know your stuff and not only has it made me replay the games AGAIN, but I've finally started reading the books as well. Plus it's super nice to have people who enjoy the universe and can talk about it, even if you aren't talking directly with me about it, especially since my fiancé is taking his sweet time to finish the games (disgusted noise). I appreciate all the hard work you guys put into the podcast and the high quality content that you produce! Thank you for all you guys do!

beckym617Amazing Podcast!I discovered BioWare RPGs only 6 months ago, but have since become completely obsessed. With podcasts like this and the Mass Effect Lorecast, what a great time to be joining the fandom! I really enjoy listening to Austin and Shelby, and it’s clear after 5 minutes how much time and effort they put into preparing for each episode. In a series with so much lore, it is invaluable to have someone condense important information from across the series in a way that’s thorough yet digestible. I’m excited to start my second playthrough with all the new knowledge and appreciation I’ve gained so far from this podcast! Keep up the good work and thank you!

Cash CollinsBest Dragon Age PodcastDo you like dragons, elves, magic, and orcs (aka darkspawn)? Have you ever wanted to know more about Dragon Age without finding all of the Codex entries? Have you ever visited a fandom wiki? THEN THIS IS THE PODCAST FOR YOU!! Seriously, Shelby and Austin are fantastically amazing. I can’t stop raving about them and their work, and I’ve gotta do my part to get the word out to potential new listeners. I would bet they could even beat the game developers at DA trivia. Give them a listen and I promise you that you won’t be disappointed. May Andraste’s light guide your ears to their sage wisdom.
-
Old_Man_KroganSo much fun lore for Dragon Age!I hadn’t realized these games were so deeply written with such cool lore. Time for another play through of all the games, great work Shelby and Austin!
-
HassleH0ffBrother Genitivi would be proud!Excellent show! I’m a long time veteran of Dragon Age, been playing since DA:O came out. The host make DA lore easy to digest in an easy manner that new players and veterans can learn something. Always remember the wise words of Flemeth, “Such manners! Always in the last place you expect them… like stockings.”
-
MissJacksonTrinityAmazing Information!Love listening while playing through the series, it’s been fantastic research for my Dragon Age TTRPG campaign I’m putting together. Much love, guys hope you get all the success!
-

I am the buttercatWatch the movie before you read the bookHello lovlies!! Jennasis here to say that I am a newbie when it comes to the Dragon Age series. Normally I am the one to actively avoid spoilers for video games, movies, tv series etc. But then I realized that learning more about the world and the hidden histories will bring a better connection to my playthrougs. So thank you for making my Origins story even better! An amazing wealth of knowledge from two awesome people. <3 <3 <3

Seth A993Fun and informative.Listening to the podcast you can tell the hosts both love Dragon Age and know about all the lore. It’s been a while sense i have played any Dragon Age and when i did play I didn’t really go through the Codex but hearing more about the lore has me wanting to play the games again and dive into that Codex. P.S. Swooping is indead bad.
-
OscarMan88I’m all in on this oneSo excited to see where this podcast goes; I like the structured topic of each episode, and the inclusion of fan theories that I’ve never heard before. But for the love of the Maker, people do not become dark spawn! Humans/animals/living creatures who contract the taint become blighted ghouls. Darkspawn only come from broodmothers.
-
cornboxxxFun, knowledgeable and intelligentSo excited to see such a great new podcast for dragon age. I’m a super fan and these folks really know their stuff. It’s such a fun podcast and they go into such great detail about all the things that I want to hear about. One of the things I really hate about podcasts is all the extra stuff that people talk about when trying to be personable, but these two pull off the personality without any of the clutter. It straightforward fun to listen to and easily one of my new favorite podcasts. Thanks y'all and keep them coming!l Dareth shiral.

MicVLoFINALLY, an awesome Dragon Age podcast!I’ve just started this podcast and I’m very much a fan of it already! As a Dragon Age fan, I’ve been hoping for a new podcast to listen to about the games and characters, so finding this was a nice treat! I’m looking forward to the interesting topics the hosts are going to dive into so I can learn more about the series! Keep up the great work! 😁
