Roy StanTurn down the boomer in Troy AIThere’s something that I’m getting from this pod that is unique… so even though you’re a sexless Fleetwood Mac, please don’t breakup. But, why is Troy always at Alex’s throat? I’m pretty sure that we’re all 75% listening this for the insight of how tech will change media. Why so angry at the most tech-forward amount you — that being Alex? Troy, you have a beautiful, boomer(ing) voice. You’re already turned up to 11. Only Spinal Tap wants that.

Fionn HyndmanSmart, thoughtful, funny with a healthy dose cynicismLove this show, it hits a real sweet spot for me between the evolution of digital media and publishing, product, advertising and new technology and its potential impact but with a more wide angle lens looking at more subjects and interesting points of view on some of what’s happening in the world. Love the hosts, love their dynamic and their individual viewpoints on the same issues. Keep going with more of the same!

jlw9000Changing my review for nowLook, this has been my go to podcast for the last year as the the creative and info spaces have been radically altered by AI, but lately it’s been a chore because the hosts and their petty swipes at each other. Every week it feels like I’ve walked into a room where teenagers have just stopped fighting. PvA folks: please remember that it is precisely your differing viewpoints that have allowed you to so accurately map the terrain in front of us and please leave your catty beefs with each other on your (mercifully) private group chats. Get back to the good stuff. Thanks.

maykent2626You guys have gotten too cynicalYou talk about media like it’s only about raw power and money. No one gets into this industry purely for those reasons. This isn’t game of thrones. Chill out.

ediblegem66A must-listen for anyone in media + marketingPvA has been a source of useful insights and thoughtful perspectives since the start, but I'm enjoying it even more since they started bringing in a range of guests with diverse backgrounds and expertise. Kudos!

John P GYep yep 👍This has become one of my favorites. If you’re in the media business, listen up. Great content, hosts are terrific together, new ideas for the leaders who listen.

zdavis2A criminally underrated resourceBrian, Alex and Troy have great chemistry and experience that comes out in their discussions. They are able to discuss current events in the media world with an eye toward the structural forces at play. As someone working in a smaller media company without someone to talk shop with, these guys provide a better parasocial relationship than LinkedIn. I just wish there were more ads. In all earnestness, please keep it up.

DTW_313Well done, guysThe only media and marketing focused podcast where I actually crack up laughing. As in actually funny, not cringe funny. These three are sharp and I get at least one good thing out of every episode. I feel like I’m in the room with some of the best in the business. I hope you all do a live event sometime at the Kerv Cafe. 😉

Pholla01A journalist, an ad seller, and a designer walk into a barCompared to other media centric podcasts out there, this is the best representation of a modern media company and the internal struggles. The journalist wants intellectual honesty, the as seller wants effectiveness and big data and optimized ads, and the designer wants beautiful UX. And then, the struggle begins. 3 guys who are incredibly intelligent and also honest. It’s the best pod in media and needs some more love, hence this review.

richlfElevated ViewThe trio of Troy, Brian and Alex host a provocative podcast delving into the future of media, content and advertising. It reminds me of being at a startup with smart people who debate where things are going. I call it “Snark Tank”.

LhollidayWhere has this been all these years? This is the kind of clear-eyed take on the intersection between media and technology that might have saved a few publishers over the last few years. Everyone in media should listen to this, but they probably won’t.

Dylan BowmanGreat podAs a new media founder with no relevant experience, I’ve learned a ton from this show and The Rebooting. Thanks, guys!

J. Ray SparksThree EntertainingI listen to People Vs. Algorithms literally three times a week even though it only publishes one episode. Is that because I edit the show? Oh sure. That may have some influence. But even if I didn’t edit every show, I’d still listen because every show is informative in an entertaining way. And that’s what I look for in my podcast diet. Inform me first. But please make it fun to listen to. Troy, Brian

ParkerCarGreat. But kill the musicSmart conversation and interesting topics by a smart group, but the random elevator music interludes are horrible! Please get rid of those and it’s immediately a 7-star podcast.
