I just enjoyed my first episode and will go on to listen to all. Living in East Tennessee and in a neighborhood with 350 dwellings where only 3 owners belong to my church, it is so nice to be able to listen to voices who share my faith. I have a suggestion for an episode….. I understand if you choose not to but please consider it. Let me share a story from my family. After being raised in the church and attending BYU Idaho, I have a daughter who told me she was gay. After the initial shock, I came to a point where I just loved my daughter and her wife and they are totally accepted in our family. Because I always make sure that the church has all of my children’s addresses, Sister Missionaries knocked on their door. They were welcomed in and told the truth about their lifestyle. My daughter still believes but had not attended for a long time. The sisters began to teach her wife the gospel. I was concerned that this could end badly. She read the Book of Mormon and believed it to be the word of God. They began attending and people were kind especially the bishop’s wife. Then she asked to be baptized, what followed was what I was afraid would happen. Even though they are legally married, she was told that they would need to separate before she could be baptized. They had been together for 15 years and married for 10 at that time and are a wonderful couple. They make each other so happy and I consider her another daughter. This crushed her, she was so hurt to be rejected after gaining a testimony of the Book of Mormon. I have friends who have left the church because their children are gay for the way they were treated by members. I have a friend who’s grown child attempted suicide and another who’s son was successful due to the struggle with this issue. His parents left the church. I have my testimony and see this as one of the things that I’ll understand better in time and eternity. I have seen the church trying to teach us to love and welcome all. Would you consider doing an episode on this subject?

Steven does not shy away from sensitive topics and it has been so enlightening to listen. He has a soothing voice and his love for the gospel and our Savior is evident with each episode. Do yourself a favor and listen, you will not be disappointed. I’m glad he came back after a bit of a break, I was worried we wouldn’t get more of this amazing podcast.
