This podcast is very helpful to better understanding what is driving the economy, stock and bond markets. Often covered are recent drivers, relevant history might be touched on, and indicators for the future. The hosts are seasoned, extremely knowledgeable and clear. The guests are also very interesting, analytical, insightful and clear. The length is about right to for the content and depth covered. Recommended.

    Consistently illuminating
Jone and Sonders combine timely updates with good data-based interviews. Recent interview with Louis-Vincent Gave gave really valuable insights into 2024 and market issues to watch.

    Essential listening in scary times.
Sonders and Jones give a cool, levelheaded analysis of what's going on in the economy. They never say "Buy this" or "Sell that." Instead, they help you understand what's going on with the stock and bond markets, and the economy as a whole. They explain the data on inflation, unemployment, corporate and investor psychology, and more. They contextualize it with an understanding of how the global economy has behaved for generations. Listening to them has helped me keep my cool as my wife and I save for retirement. We buy and hold a diversified mix of stocks and bonds. Nothing fancy. We don't try to time the markets. We don't panic in downturns. But this is a scary time in American history, with incompetent and untrustworthy actors who have power over the economic lives of millions of people. So I’m listening to Sonders and Jones carefully as a kind of early-warning system. It would take a lot to alarm them, but I know that if they get alarmed, they’ll discuss the relevant data in their characteristically cool, measured voices. And that'll help us think strategically about what to do.

Great podcast with good variety of guests. I really like the December 6 podcast with Cooper Howard. Fabulous insight on Bond investing. Especially like the insight on investing during an inverted yield curve.

    Informs my investing view
This show is very informative at the right level for my investment approach - I mostly trade ETF’s in my Schwab account at the category and subcategory level, and use Liz Ann and Kathy’s input directly. They are also very good conversationalists, so it’s pleasant to listen to.

Financial markets and money topics explained clearly by foremost experts!
This week’s episode featuring an interview with Sebastian page of T. Rowe Price, addresses an extremely important topic in investing, namely, asset allocation. While asset allocation decisions are best made upfront in the investment process, many investors only consider asset allocation as an afterthought. Before selecting securities for an investment portfolio, an investor is best served by considering how investment assets should be allocated amongst different asset classes. Sebastian Page and Liz Ann Sonders, cover this topic in an easy to understand manner in this week’s episode. I highly recommend this Podcast to both beginning and seasoned investors. Great show!

    Timely and informative
There are takeaways from each episode that are actionable - from where could I allocate capital to where can I learn more. The best though? KJ and LAS not being subjected to inane questions or cut-off by a ‘Host’.

It’s refreshing to get less hype and more intellectual curiosity about market behavior. A modest approach to getting enlightened, backed up by thorough analysis and many years of experience.

    Great Insights
I saw this podcast promoted on my Schwab account and I’ve really enjoyed the content and guests thus far. It’s refreshing to hear knowledgeable people speak plainly about the markets and acknowledge that no one has all the answers - it really comes down to probabilities and this podcast helps in assessing that. They also do a good job covering the interdependencies between the stock and bond market - lots of insights here.

    So convenient
I’ve loved listening to Kathy and Liz Ann wherever I can find them – on WashingtonWise, or in a webinar, or very irregularly on Twitter, etc. But it’s super convenient to have their analysis delivered to my podcast lineup.

    LOL
Sure, let’s listen to two boring middle-aged, money-obsessed white women, who work for a global capitalist bank, as they instruct us plebes on how to invest. LOL. What a joke.
