    Enjoyed it!
Stumbled on this on accident after wanting something fun to listen too and this was great! Loved the short episodes, made it easier to digest.

    Friggin’ hilarious, bud!
I’m laughing out loud while enjoying a well written and well acted mystery. You don’t need to be a Canadian to enjoy this. I’m not Canadian (well, ok, I’m Minnesotan, so pretty close) and I love it.

    The chesterfield
I am chortling at Scotty’s suspicious and unforgivable actions in regard to the moving of the chesterfield. What a great bite size podcast.

    Awful
    The ending was awful

    Too short
This was goofy and fun. It was just annoying to have such short episodes, followed by a ton of ads and talking before and after. I wish I was a four longer part series instead of eight.

    He was good people.
The show is really fun to listen to. The characters are well written. Helped my workday go by smoothly.

    Great
I really like this podcast it just makes me feel like I’m in Canada even though I live in Virginia!

    Best podcast I’ve ever heard
Seriously, it’s no joke. I loved EVERY second of this podcast. It’s clever, dry, witty and fun. I’m not even from Canada. Cheers to everybody who was involved — it’s brilliant and wonderful and brought a lot of joy and laughter into my life. THANK YOU!!!

    What can I say, eh?
The premise was cute but the writing was clunky. 8 episodes could have easily been just 1, maybe 2. Narration and character voices were great, but it couldn’t make up for the script. The repetition of the full name of each person and place got to be annoying, along with the recaps at the beginning of each break and episode. By the end I felt like I was listening to a 5th grader’s attempt to write a mystery run through ChatGPT.

Hysterical, even if you’re not Canadian
Brings back memories of watching imported Canadian sitcoms of the 80’s and 90’s for this American. Has that same charm that pulls you in and wraps you in flannel. Mind the bears though. And the moose.

    A Hoot
Enjoyable, funny, quirky and I wish this series would go on forever!!!
  • Kiki_kristo
    Allergic to moose meat?
It’s like the base idea for “Only Murders in the building” run through a “Letterkenny” ChatGPT but boring. And with worse accents.

    Hilarious and Nostalgic !
I am a True North Strong and Free Card Carrying Canadian living in the US. I loved listening to this FUN and Mysterious WHO DONE IT. The references made me so homesick - Butter Tarts! Smarties ! Ketchup Chips! (Americans don’t know what they’re missing eh?) I pride myself on figuring out “WHO DID IT” and I didn’t !! A quick and fun listen. Here’s to a Season 2? A different Mystery perhaps!?!
  • hi i am myself
    good but one thing
the story is good and i do enjoy it but there is a lot in the episode that's not the story and it takes. so. long. it's just really annoying.

    Sorry about the laughter!
The most Canadian fiction podcast ever! Hockey fans, you gotta listen to this. Murder/mystery fans? You gotta suffer through it, eh? Have a dart, and maybe a stubbie, to help get you through.

    Eh
It was ok if you have nothing else to listen too

Couldn’t get into it. Struggled to the end and realized I had no idea what was happening. Relistened to ep 5 and gave up.

    A great one!
I really enjoyed the deadpan humor. I binged the whole series in one sitting. Hoping for another season!

One of the best narrated fiction podcasts I’ve ever heard. So funny and the monotone canadianism of the narrator keeps the show silly, cozy through all the MURDER. It’s a breezy, silly, fargoofy time. Love it!
  • Accesette
    Hilarious!
Funny cozy murder story with a Canadian twist.

    Delightful!
I listen while walking in the morning. This story, and its telling, have delivered so many “stop in my track” and laugh out loud moments. I want to meet everyone in Beavermount!

    Deadpan Humor
Love this show. The delivery and storyline are subtle and nuanced. If you like British sitcoms, Arrested Development, Trailer park Boys, Parks and Rec, I think that you will like this show too. Looking forward to hearing more.

    Pret’ner perfect
I love most things Canadian and this podcast Is no exception. Hailing from rural Wisconsin, I’m loving the dialogue and depiction of small town communities. I’ll be sad when it’s finished!
  • newamerykahn
    Falls short.
Agree with the one star review. The narrator is flat, the background noises are offputting and add no texture to the story. Instead, they’re loud and distracting. I’ve really tried to listen to this three times and the story is dry. Not dry in terms of humor, but in the sense that it is not engaging or enriching at all. Cover art is great but I think this needs to be rewritten. Maybe less narration and more acting.

This is Top Notch Humor - Canadian Style
There’s something remarkably brilliant about the juxtaposition of shocking violence being narrated in the style of a calm rural Canadian that makes this show devilishly clever and endearing. The dry delivery is so expertly timed that I find myself chuckling throughout. I do not have the longest attention span, so getting to hear bits of this story come together in short bits like this really adds to the enjoyment. 10/10 stars. This is a gem.

    More?
    Super captivating but so short.
  • CTXYZ2015
    Nope
A case of great cover art and awful performance
