J.SkilesThe best podcast, by butcher or balletI found this by accident many years ago and it became my fave. I will rewatch the show every few years and relisten as I watch. Its like hanging with 2 friends. I echo other reviews - please come back! You guys rule and are great at this media. I would listen to anything! Every horror movie ever??? ~ Komissar Vassiloff

ericccaaaaaaaI could listen to them talk about anything!I love this podcast so much, I’m a long time listener and so sad there’s barely any new recordings. Please, give us more content! I could literally listen to these two talk about anything. I love their Serling commentary and wit - it’s so funny and random.
-
Mr. MichaelI’m late to the party w this podcast …I like it a lot. Re: To Serve Man…It’s really close to a sci-fi EC comic in tone.
-
SSCogginAmazing podcast about The Twilight ZoneI’ve enjoyed listening to John and Fred discuss each and every episode of Twilight Zone. So many interesting and fun facts about the history of the story lines, the characters, film crew, and more. It’s also given me the chance to rewatch the entire series, and even see episodes I’ve never seen before. Awesome podcast in every way!

SlowfaidDon’t Call It a Comeback! They been here for years! Have you ever seen The Daylight Zone? They gotta do this someday….please!

WSRitterLaneTwilight PwnFun podcast! Record more! If you’ve done all TZ and NG how about find another series to do. Maybe Alfred Hitchcock Presents? Perry Mason? The Larry Sanders Show? Seinfeld? Downton Abbey? Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman? Loved hearing your recent program! I know you guys are at a busy time of your lived but hope you can manage an episode maybe twice a year? Whatever you can manage your fans will be here!

PilotbobCMade me laugh all over again on a 2nd listenI found this podcast while John and Fred were about halfway through the TZ library and became an immediate fan. The guys were obviously originally inspired by their other favorite show MST3K, and I find their banter is easily as entertaining as Joel, Tom Servo and Crow. I think doing this in a podcast format on a popular 50 year old show was genius. I don’t even have to watch most episodes before listening because I’ve been watching TZ for so many years. Their often amusing “Serling style” intros are a favorite of mine and I’m glad they kept it up even when they were tired of doing them. They aren’t all gems, but then neither are all episodes of TZ, so it fits. I also love how they are able to make fun of Mr Serling in a respectful way, which I bet the man himself would be able to appreciate. If you are a fan of TZ and have a sense of humor, this is the podcast for you. They always joke they are the 3rd most popular TZ podcast, but I enjoy them just as much as Tom Elliot’s TZ podcast which the guys mention frequently and #1. To wrap things up, I want to encourage the guys to continue to release new shows from time to time as they have been up to this point 11/2022. Life does get in the way, I’m sure, but you both have a knack for making people laugh, and it would be a shame to let that go to waste.

cyndipiggieuptight❤️A PODCAST OF MY CHILDHOOD❤️This podcast is the greatest podcast I’ve ever heard in my life. I’m obsessed with podcasts, and I am OBSESSED with John and Fred’s The Twilight Pwn!” I literally will watch a TZ episode, and then play yours after to see what y’all say. I almost feel like every morning I wake up, I listen to this podcast. The Twilight Zone is the show of my childhood, so I adore this podcast. It’s my favorite show and I’ve tried many other TZ podcasts before, but none of them compare to yours. Keep going John and Fred!

SellfoneGreat Podcast!Despite being a TZ fan for decades, not sure why I only recently thought to look for a podcast about it. Anyway, discovered this and was hooked pretty quickly. Chemistry between podcast hosts is either there or it isn’t, and with these guys it’s definitely there. They’re funny, knowledgeable, and their own versions of the Serling intros are surprisingly impressive. I also dig the late 80s style “bios and trivia“ jingle and also that they actually say goodbye to each other at the end of each podcast (because they’re not together). Something so simple adds so much!

BethlovespensSo happy you are back!I love, love this podcast! I know you guys lead busy lives but whenever you have the time and inclination to chat together and share it, you certainly brighten my day! So thrilled to open my podcasts and find “The Trunk”episode - after a year! During the too-long gap (I know, you guys have busy lives) I just re-listen to all the other episodes more times than I care to admit. Thank you, thank you, for this excellent show! Hours of entertainment, featuring a favorite show of my childhood.

ericamarieclairePLEASE MAKE MORE EPISODESAs someone who grew up on twilight zone marathons for New Years and July 4th, this show has a really special place in my heart. I got into this podcast three years ago and it’s still one of my favorites to have in the background when I want to get nostalgic over TZ. Fred and John’s banter and randomness while still educating you is the best. Please, do reviews on some of the newer Jordan Peele seasons or literally just any new content would. be. GREAT!
-
Plastic PlasticTwilight Pwn XmasWhat Serling adjacent Christmas story will we get this year? I love this show.
-
,gnmvHighly RecommendedOne of the funnest podcasts I've listened to. Hopefully they will find something to bring them back to podcasting. I love the Twilight Zone, but nothing's above a good pwning and these guys are great at it.

Brynne HLove this podcast!!!The Twilight Zone is a show that got me through a difficult time in my life, so it holds a special place in my heart. I decided to look into finding a podcast about the show, and this one was the first one I chose to check out. I’m now on a third run-through of the episode library, and I’m ashamed that it took me this long to write a review! I still laugh out loud at many of the jokes and comedic tangents this show takes while also enjoying the information John and Fred share along the way. Their banter makes them feel like friends you’re listening to at a party and it just makes the show that much more fun. I seriously could listen to them talk about anything! If you want a podcast that makes you laugh and helps you learn, this is a great one.

Baelnorn85AwfulA couple of autists who do nothing but mock the show and nitpick the tiniest things, acting like it’s some unforgivable sin if a continuity error is spotted or if they’re too stupid to understand narrative structure is different from literal measures of time. If they hate the show this much, why center a podcast around pretending to love it so much? Hard pass, there are plenty of better Twilight Zone podcasts out there. Sorry I wasted my time on these clowns

JimmyR1985A World of their PWNAs an admitted podcast addict and huge fan of The Twilight Zone, I’m embarrassed that it took me so long to search for a TZ pod. Saw a Reddit thread where this podcast was recommended and I decided to download and give it a listen. That was almost a year ago and I can now say I’ve listened to every episode. What a fun ride it was. No question in my mind that I will relisten to these. It’s a very nice counter balance to Tom Elliot’s more serious (but equally engrossing) podcast on the Zone. John and Fred have a very nice comedic chemistry. They can give great insights and nuance to the more serious aspects of the show while poking fun at some of the sillier moments. Really would like to hear more from the guys if they ever decided to start another podcast. Thanks John and Fred for the MANY hours of enjoyment I got from this!
-
robZtv.comVery listenableThe congenial hosts of this program share an easy rapport and the content is a pleasing blend of humor and analysis. Too many TZ podcasts treat the show like some sacred cow, whereas John and Fred don’t shy from more irreverent takes, which is refreshing. (It helps, too, that I generally agree with their opinions.) I came late to this party because I was unfamiliar with the word “pwn”, which looked like a weird typo. But once I got into it I found them to be good company and it was my go-to podcast for several weeks as I went straight down their playlist. One hopes they continue, especially with the Peele iteration.
-
FellintooblivionShamelessI’m just writing this so you’ll say my name if you ever record another episode.

Gene Everett 187The best twilight zone podcast 👍Please come back 😃 we miss u guys!!!!!!! Update edit September 2020- please come back! We’ll pay
-
DWells27One Pwn to rule them allThe best podcast out there, and I even have some premium subscriptions after I got hooked to How Did This Get Made. Talking Simpsons and Roast Mortem is great as well, but Twilight Pwn will forever be the gold standard. Maybe now that season 2 of the reboot is truly on a good track they can get back to slaying?! Wishful thinking perhaps.

ThedarkjediknightNot my cup of tea, just ok.For further adventures into the 5th dimension check out another TZ podcast called “ Between Light, Shadow, Science & Superstition.

IAmAListenerRare recap podcast that holds upThis podcast is great for real Twilight Zone fans- but even for casual fans, it’s definitely worth a listen. The real strength of this cast is the chemistry between John and Fred and their ability to look at both the good and the silly parts of the TZ. They acknowledge that there are a fair share of stinkers among the brilliance of the show, and the crummy episodes usually turn out to be the best episodes of the Twilight Pwn. A good example is the love of The Brain Center At Whipple’s, a very poorly done episode that provides so much fodder for laughs that there is a reference to it in nearly every episode. There is also a myriad of running gags and inside jokes that develop over the course of the show. Writer Martin Grams, Jr., Danny “JoJo” Kulick, Lamont “Horndog” Johnson, Don “Midnight” Medford, and ESPECIALLY Ted DeCorsia are some of the patron saints of the cast. Robby the Robot is also referred to as if he were a real alcoholic producer of the cast. Rod Serling’s verbose purple prose writing style is lovingly teased both in the discussion and in the unique Serling style intros. Even after they run out of TZ episodes, John and Fred continue to dip into other “Serling adjacent” projects for quite a few bonus episodes. The cast has such a great sense of humor and chemistry that it even holds up to repeated listening.

tony pazyAmazing!Amazing podcast!
-
lovebeutjBest Twilight Zone podcast right here - look no furtherI found you guys in early 2019 and listened to all your TZ episodes. I appreciate all the laughs and the insights into my favorite black and white series. John and Fred are so witty and clever - I'm addicted! I'll be watching for more from these guys. (Please come back!)
-
TASR gamerCome back please!Come back guys!! I miss you so much! Need more Night Gallery, more Peele TZ, and let’s go ahead and do the 80s run! Frankly I don’t care if you review completely random things like action movies or rom coms because you’re both so funny and charming that I want more of your chatter in my ears. Come back!!

Neplusultra123It’s a real shame...It’s a shame...a real shame that these perfectly polished paladins of this earthly plane are only periodically producing podcasts at this point in time. Their prodigious propensity to pour out prime podcast material is without peer. These devoted denizens of the United States have dedicated their time and energy to deliver a consistent stream or entertainment to their devoted fans for almost 1/2 of a decade. But sadly, they’ve run their course...at least in this dimension. It’s my sincere hope, however, that they are still boldly broadcasting their beautiful bounty of bodacious material somewhere...in The Twilight Zone.

Chantraine1975Hilarious Podcast about One of My Favorite Classic TV Shows!I don’t think this should be the 3rd best Twilight Zone podcast, this should be number 1! I like the other podcasts on TZ, but those others don’t make me crack up laughing like John & Fred do! I’ve been listening for quite some time & I enjoy every single episode. They have a lot of good bits of trivia & the jingles are cute! I can’t rave about this podcast enough. Listen to this even if you hate the Twilight Zone.

Steffi3510Poking fun at the TZThis was one of the first podcasts I got into, and I’ve since relistened to it a couple of times and will again soon. John and Fred are so funny and fun to listen to. If only the original series had more episodes! I’ve enjoyed the post-TZ episodes as well, keep ‘em coming! (And hey, guys, I rarely review podcasts, but wanted to help you get over 200! Thanks for the hours of entertainment!)

Austin GyoriThe bar has been setBy FAR the BEST podcast I have listened to. I have loved the twilight zone for over a decade, but never was able to talk about it since most people don't know it as well anymore. When I came accross this podcast my dreams came true. I was able to listen to people geek out about a passion of mine, while still recognizing that it wasn't perfect and making jokes about it. John and Fred are very responsive as I messaged them with comments about their "The Lonley" episode years after they had posted it, yet they still took the time out of their busy days to genuinly look at my comment and respond accordingly. I love their rating system! I wish other podcasts would use it. I really like how eventually it evolved overtime to be normalized (for example "4 bore" and "5=forgettable"). Unfortunelatly they had already finished all the episodes when I found them so the entire time I was listening I saw the end grow closer and closer. Nevertheless, I must have burned through all their episodes in under 3 months because I listened so often (it's that good!). I am now listening at a much slower pace, and hope they decide to just pick a series (the revamped 2002 Twilight Zone Series maybe?) and just relive the glory days. TLDR: Best podcast ever (5 stars is not enough). Favorite rating system used. Funny, yet appreciative of the series. They should go through the 2002 reboot series.
-
Shel & AngGreat show, still number three! You guys are great from my perspective in that you’ve finished them all. You remain number because you still have too much comedy in the show, which precludes you from giving some of my favorites (Miniature, Ring-a-Ding Girl, You Drive, Odyssey of Flight 33, Little Girl Lost, Death’s Head Revisited, etc.) their just Düe in terms of dramatic review. Last note: please don’t use IMDb as a barometer. It is a Highschool like popularity poll for Millennials and doesn’t due justice to real rankings for TZ. Keep shooting upwards.
-
AugearisThe best TZ podcastAfter trialing several Twilight Zone podcasts, I can certainly say that this is my favorite. The hosts are insightful, and there’s an easy sense of humor that keeps my attention.
-
rickybellsTwilight pwn is dope.Having listened to every episode, and now being about 20 episodes into a second go around, I figure I should give John and Fred a great review. I had literally never listened to a podcast until this one. I decided to give these podcast things a shot, and just typed in the first thing that came to mind, “twilight zone”. Super happy I picked this one. These guys are mad funny at times, endearingly not funny at times, mad smart, and all around likable dudes. Keep making more episodes, my guys!!!
-
AlienmojoLivipet73 is clearly insaneI think she is the only person to give this podcast a low score. What a sad... sad... life she/he must live, because these guys are fantastic and give a great critique of each episode and give interesting insights into each episode. Love you guys!

J.W. Roswell Bemis Grep, Esq.The Most Definitive 3rd Ranked TZ PodcastIn this season of thanks and giving, dare I say "Thanksgiving," I want to start by sharing my thanks to John and Fred for all of the insight and laughs over the past year. I first stumbled on this podcast while trying to find anything fun to listen to related to the Twilight Zone. Needless to say, most of the TZ related podcasts are about as exciting as listening to any recording by the "Rock-A-Billy Kid." However, I like my podcasts strictly PD and entertaining to boot. That's when I stumbled on The Twilight Pwn. Seriously guys, thanks! For the last year, I have listened to all of these podcasts, and return to some that were especially entertaining when I get down. I think the thing that really pulled me in first was that MST3K connection. A podcast that combines (in the loosest sense) my two favorite shows? I'm glad that you are still doing the podcast with Rod Serling related works. However, I noted that in the most recent one (Class of '99) you requested that we send you 'anything' to review, so as a favor to a devoted fan, I would like to request something tangentially related to Twilight Zone. It was a show that came on right before TZ back in the day for a whole 14 episodes. The show was called "Way Out" and was presented by the author Roald Dahl in a way similar to Rod Serling. There are only about 9-10 shows available, and I think you can only find them on YouTube, but if you want something different for the next broadcast, it could be a nice change of pace and I would love to see what you guys could do to these. I would suggest "False Face" or "Side Show" if you decide to go this route. Either way, I honestly do love the show, and just wanted to say thanks! Keep up the great work!
-
gojonniegoI wish John and Fred were my friends. My mom and aunt grew up watching The Twilight Zone so I grew up regularly watching reruns with them and hearing them recall their reactions from seeing the original airings of some of my favorite episodes. This podcast is by far the best discussion of this classic series and my favorite show. John and Fred have great chemistry and they perfectly blend their humor with trivia, bios and the occasional random conversation with in depth discussion of every single TZ episode, which is no small feat. I’ve begun listening to them everyday and I find myself wishing I had friends as cool and fun as these guys just to talk about movies, tv and random pop culture. I know I’ve found this podcast very late in the game but PLEASE don’t end it!!
-
TROimUBLEOne of my must-listen podcastsI listen to a lot of podcasts, but whenever a new Twilight Pwn is released it goes to the front of the line. John and Fred are always entertaining and I'm always looking for the next episode. Thanks for all the fun, guys.
-
hamiljcAdjunct InstructorThis podcast offered a fresh perspective on one of the best shows in the history. The best thing is they actually finished the series, and they continue to produce new podcasts. If you are a fan of the Twilight Zone you should listen to this podcast.
-
FuMikechuMore PleaseThis is a pretty great podcast thanks to John and Fred's chemistry. Sadly, they've already done every single episode of the original show. I should've written this review years ago but finally got around to it! But thankfully they're still doing episodes for other works connected to TTZ. It'd be cool to see them revisit some of the earlier episodes they did, especially the first and maybe spinoff to an Alfred Hitchcock Presents Pwn but yeah, great podcast. Keep 'em coming!
-
RobsWife06God Awful!!You are about to enter a world where two men do nothing but tare apart each & every episode of the Twilight Zone! Little do they know how the tables are about to be turned. For these two Beavis & Buthead actors they are are about to lose the only thing that really matters to them! Their audience!
-
SalBurgudaAwesome content and great chemistry between the hostsJust reaffirms that there is no such thing as a casual TZ fan. Each episode is brimming with passion for the show, resulting in thoughtful, valuable insights. Keep up the great work!
