    Great reporting
I enjoy the back and forth between y’all. When you mentioned 48 hours, I remember seeing your name in the credits. Can’t wait to hear more!

    What happened??
The first 2 seasons were amazing This one, not so much It seems like a last minute project put together by 2 high schoolers that are high I gave it a shot, but the moment one of the host is not sure how to pronounce the victim’s name…I was out

    Innocent until proven guilty
Aren’t people innocent until proven guilty??

    Can’t deal😡

    Disappointing
I’ve really enjoyed “Final Days On Earth” but “Justice Pending” is not for me. They seem underprepared for each episode and skip right past any mention of how a person is innocent until proven guilty. You can condemn murder without having to take as gospel the various official police statements, and the constant slagging on “the media” is hard to square with Claire’s frequent mentions of her background in TV journalism. Part of what makes this story interesting is the public support for someone arrested for murder but there’s a missed opportunity here to really examine why that is happening, especially since it’s troubling to see. Some additional preparation and structure for this show would really improve it.

Season 4 is the worst example of journalism
These ladies speculate so much that they lose all credibility. Don’t waste your time. First, a hit man, then a conspiracy, on and on.

    Insightful
Very informative and timely. Hard to imagine how ceo could be so calmly and coldly killed in the middle of Manhattan. Claire’s story telling and journalism background brings it all together. Well done, ladies!

    Why the difference in voice?
This is such a frustrating podcast to get thru. I like the format and content, but it’s so hard to hear Claire go from having a conversation with someone it just a normal voice, but when she is reporting it’s a whisper with an up and down emphasis on each sentence. I don’t understand why she does that. Please, please just speak normally. All the dramatic effects are so unnecessary and make it hard to listen to. This would be excellent if she just spoke in her normal voice and cadence.

    Listen
I almost stopped listening to this podcast because of how weird she says the word homicide. Keep listening. She does really good investigative work.

    Binge-worthy
I’m always looking for an in-depth true crime podcast to binge while working 😏 So glad I stumbled upon this one.

    One of the best!
I’m so glad this is back for Season 3! It has been one of my favorite podcasts, and I was really missing it. It’s really well-done and I already binged what I could—now I have to wait for next week!

    Excellent series
Clare is one of my favorite true crime podcasters. I really love her style! The Jennifer case is really thorough and extensive. A++++++

    Excited to see you back!
Easily one of the best true crime podcasts out there. Claire is thorough and thoughtful in her reporting, and her presentation is masterful. A must-listen for anyone into true crime.

    Excellent podcast and reporting
Thanks for the update on Jennifer’s case. I’m sad for Jerry and his family and I hope one day they get the justice they deserve. Claire, I’m looking forward to season 3! Until then, I’ll relisten to seasons 1 and 2.

    Excellent Deep Dive Podcast
Each season focuses on a single case. Claire does a great job reaching out to friends and family and really digs into the details. I love her inquisitive, analytical approach.

    Is season 3 coming ?!?!

    Not Aggravated at All!
I love Claire’s voice and don’t find it “monotone” at all. She does a great narration every time. Thank you, Claire, and keep up the wonderful work!
  • Stevendallace
    Really good
I really your podcast and deep dive into these cases. I hope there will be a season 3 coming soon.
  • Aggravated!!!
    Intriguing story but…
The show was written well, researched well etc etc. However the narrators depressing monotone voice made me want to throw myself off the Red River bridge. You’re too well spoken and have a nice voice to use that depressing reverse inflection monotone style!

    Music Loud & Distracting
I really wanted to like the podcast but the music is very loud and distracting. I don’t know why the music exist at all. It doesn’t add to the contend. It was even played during the interviews with the worst audio. The content is good but the foreground, not background, music took away from the production entirely. I avoid productions with any music. Music is extremely subjective in taste and preference and it can be very off-putting to someone that doesn’t have a taste for it. So sad because there was a lot of effort put into this investigation.

This & Hide & Seek are my 2 podcasts!
    Great Investigative journalism!!

    Ok
Podcast is ok. Cases are interesting. But the “interviews” just drag on and on … it honestly becomes a bore. It’s like the interviews are unedited to just create more episodes.

    A can’t miss podcast.
    Really well-detailed, amazing work.

    Excellent
Such an excellent investigation and storytelling. Perfect balance of facts and empathy. For all the negative review folks: what have you accomplished? You folks are the worst part of podcasts. Stop being so judgmental about peoples’ voices and music. Cripes.

    Great podcast!
This is a great podcast, well investigated and planned. My only issue is that the music is the same throughout every single episode. It would be nice to have a variety.

    Great Podcast
Great podcast! Claire’s voice is pleasant and easy to listen. She does lots of research and really digs deep into the investigation. I binged Season 1 and Season 2 back to back. Excited for Season 3.

    Huh
Is there a point in this The oh so sad voice of main talker Guests with there ridiculous opinions as if facts “ didn’t form a relationship w rob “ his fault Brain cancer … is this a clue ‘ listening to good ol boy music I.e. Bob Dylan ‘😂 She had big dreams ,, but couldn’t keep a job He was backward .. wanted to live in the country Nasty sister
  • salem-alt
    Eh
Investigation seems shallow, narration is flat and boring. I’m trudging through because the story itself is interesting but this isn’t the best quality podcast. I would love to see a better, more thorough investigation into this.

You are a horrible person and a terrible investigator
    1. After six years you have found nothing. Why did it take you six years to even go to the town. Why not go there to the site in the same day so you don’t have to speculate what the lighting would be like. 2. All the kids you have interviewed seem like really nice people. And you want to push them towards your conspiracy theory. I am shocked that most of them put up with your unsubstantiated ideas. 3. Given that, someone by now would have come forward with either confession or at least a tip of “go look at “joe”. Hasn’t happened. 4. News flash, kids, especially college students, owning bikes is new. An is horrible way to try and connect 5. I hope one of these kids sues you for defamation 6. He killed himself. He wasn’t going hiking with anyone the next day. He told his mother he was going hiking with “friends”. Doesn’t mean he wasn’t lying. It was him telling his mother that what he intended to do. You ever think of that. It was pre planned. If the police had interviewed her 8 years ago and she had said that would you still be going done this trail 7. You can’t have it both ways. He looks fine at the gas station, but had taken LSD. and was also under the influence of alcohol. You ever stop to think the whole thing down to unzipping his pants has something to do with the LSD? 8. I would love to have a live debate with you on how utterly stupid and irresponsible you are as a journalist and as a human being. I don’t have social media, but for you I am about to start one. “You down”.

Couldn’t get past the first episode
I wanted to like this podcast so bad. The story seemed so interesting and the reviews seemed great as well-I really wanted to hear this girls story. But the narrator just killed it for me. I couldn’t get through the first episode. The interview is just too long and could have been summed up in the storyline. I don’t mind having interviews in podcasts but the narrator cut in and out with tidbits of info here and there; it was just bizarre. There was nothing that kept my attention and I shut it off half way through. Maybe she’s a first time podcaster and with time and experience her second story will be better. (Fingers crossed) I’m willing to give her another shot.
  • Patty2347
    Good podcast
Great podcast (season 2) and I like the narrator’s interview style. One note (SPOILER ALERT)—— —- It seems so so obvious that Rob did it! How has he not been convicted yet?! He got someone who was not his wife pregnant and she ended up dead. After he met with her.

Get ready for Twists and Turns!
Update!! Season 2 is just as good as season 1. I don’t know how she chooses which store ones to tell but they so interesting. —— I love a good true crime story and this one is right up there with the best. As episodes went on I found myself looking for excuses to take a drive or go for a walk just to get another 15-20 minutes of this podcast in. Every episode was better than the last.

    Fantastic, tragic, heartbreaking
This story is heartbreaking and it seems obvious that the police bungled the investigation. How many times have the police decided suicide and then proceed to not investigate properly- it is unbelievably frustrating as a listener. I can only imagine the heartbreak and frustration of Damien’s family. This kid was murdered, probably by someone already mentioned in this podcast. I hope this podcast results in the case being reopened and investigated by a different department. Season 2 is also excellent. I hope that this podcast increases the chance for justice for Jennifer and her family. In my opinion, Rob is guilty. Do the right thing, confess, you have had 20 years of freedom. It’s time to come clean.

    Improvements?
The podcast is decent and I can see how much time and effort was put into it to put it all together. I especially like how I get to hear raw interviews from decades ago. But I have to be honest that Claire is not a good narrator. She sounds awkward and I saw no improvement in that department from season one to two. Her interviews are also awkward including when she tries to explain things on behalf of the person she is speaking to. Maybe it’s about being uncomfortable with silence or maybe she is trying to confirm her own thoughts by speaking at loud. In general, she seems to jump to conclusions based on what she found out through her investigation, which is only a rumor if there aren’t any facts backing it up. Good intentions and potential, but lots of improvements to be made.
  • Emssgame
    Fairly enjoyable
The podcast is a fairly enjoyable listen, but the interviews are so awkward. I don’t think Claire actually feels comfortable talking to people and has to fill the silence. The first season was a total stretch, but second season is better. The mispronunciations also make me cringe a little.
  • MaryAllisons
    Fascinating and well narrated!
Claire does an excellent presenting the life and story of Jennifer Harris! The facts are clear and well laid out throughout the episodes revealing her strong skills as a journalist. She strikes the perfect balance difficult to achieve in true crime of keeping you interested while showing utmost respect for the victim and those close to her. I can’t wait for more episodes and truly hope the murderer is found so that justice and some closure can occur for Jennifer and those close to her.
  • justforgetitalready
    Great podcast
Ms. St. Amant is perfect for the role of narrator. Voice is excellent. Such thorough research is done that you think of questions only to keep listening and get answers. Can’t wait for Tuesday release to get answers to more questions. Won’t leak any info only to say I just can’t believe the report findings, don’t care what that company said happened. Too many questions still.

This one time at band camp
Content appears to be solid. But the juvenile voice with every sentence being spoken like a question is grating. Not sure how long I can keep with it. Also, please stop saying “in case you didn’t catch that” every two minutes.
  • Fluffygooey
    Binged This!
I heard about this podcast through a trailer for season two. I had never heard of it and started with season one. The story was one I had never heard before and kept my interest to the point where I binge the whole season. Haven’t started season two but I’m assuming it will be just as interesting.

    Great Podcast
Super professional, plenty of narration and doesn’t rely on witnesses to tell the whole story. I love Claire’s delivery and focus. As a binge podcast listener, I have shut off many a show due to issues with host voice and causal/sloppy delivery of info. This show and both seasons are fantastic
  • PrestonSkis
Perfectly done. So glad that you are back!!!
Perfect voice. Perfect story telling. Perfect reporting. Don’t listen to all the haters in the comments. I have listened to dozens of award winning narrators and I can say that your voice is great. You are authentic and It is obvious that you are a great person Also, I went to school in Grand Junction, CO. The environment at parties was very similar. Fights would break out constantly. I also stopped hanging out with certain groups because of it. We were all athletes. A mix of football, wrestling, and soccer players. People would also mess around and try to choke people out in parties. I saw a few people go unconscious a few times. People were very dumb!

    Reaching
I don’t know why this “reporter” is reaching so badly for the homicide story to make sense. It makes sense why the family would, but the reporter/podcaster? This is the reason I wouldn’t recommend this podcast to friends and family. They’re trying to pull away from the truth which is likely suicide.
  • ItsJustMe00
    Home-oh-cide
A nothing burger of a story. Basically 14 hours of someone mispronouncing homicide 7,324 times.
  • fzrgrl
    One sided
I feel terrible for this family and send my deepest condolences. As a third party to this case, I feel there is not enough solid evidence in this podcast to support homicide. I stopped listening about half way through. The suggested “cover up” was well executed for college students. Carried out with little to no planning. If there was foul play, hopefully the truth will eventually come out.

    NPR Quality
Host has a great voice. The podcast features great storytelling and a unique sound that breathes freshness into an often-accused-of-being stale and overdone genre. Worth a listen and a follow!
  • JessMcCann
    Great podcast but
I’ve been trying to listen to this entire podcast, and the story. But the episodes seem out of wack and I’m not sure if it’s an editing issue..? I’ll listen to an episode, then it goes to break comes back and the show repeats itself. The first and second episode don’t do this but the next two are doing this. Also it will be like the show is completely starting over, in the middle of the episode after a commercial break.
